We have done researches about porphyrin and polyimide containing metalloporphyrins. The polymer showed interesting optical properties. Polyimide containing meso-tetra(oaminopheny1))porphyrinzinc(Ⅱ) was synthesized in this experiment. Optoeletronic properties were characterized with ultraviolet spectrophotometer and emission spectrophotometer. Changing the contents of porphyrin on polyimide chain produced absorption and emission variations. Energy transfer happened in the polymer chain whan compared with just porphyrin-doped polyimide.

We designed and fabricated a reflection-type holographic interference filter in a dichromated gelatin film. The relationship between center wavelength and recording angles was derived by wsing coupled wave theory in detail. The variations of center wavelength of the filter were predicted theoretically measured in terms of recording angles.

Holographic recording and erasure kinetics in a home-made photopolymer film are investigated as a function of monomer concentration and spatial frequency. We also measured phase shifts of index grating and absorption grating by moving holographic photopolymer gratings along a direction of grating wave vector.
FastXcorr : FORTRAN Program for Fast Cross-over Error Correction of Marine Geophysical Survey Data

해양에서 관측되는 해양지구물리 탐사자료에는 위치오차, 기기오차, 관측오차, 해상 상태 등 다양한 원인에 기인하는 오차가 포함되어 있다. 이에 의해 한 기관에서 해양지구물리 탐사 자료를 취득할 때나 여러 기관에서 취득된 해양지구 물리 탐사자료를 취합할 때 많은 교차점오차가 발생하고, 이러한 교차점오차는 부적절한 해석을 야기하는 인위적인 이 상대를 만든다. 교차점오차를 줄이기 위한 다양한 방법들이 제시되었지만, 이들 대부분의 방법들은 교차점을 찾기 위해 각각의 점자료(point data) 혹은 선분자료(segment data)를 모두 비교함으로써, 불필요하게 많은 계산시간을 요구하게 된 다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중복구역나눔 방법을 도입하여 빠르게 교차점을 찾고, 가중치선형내삽 방법을 이용하여 교차 점오차를 보정하는 포트란(FORTRAN) 프로그램 (FastXcorr)을 개발하였다. Many cross-over errors due to position errors, meter errors, observation errors, sea conditions and so on occur when marine geophysical data collected by own and other agencies are merged, and these errors can create artificial anomalies which cause an improper interpretation. Many methods have been introduced to reduce cross-over errors. However, most methods are designed to compare each point or segment data to find cross-over points, and require a long processing time. Therefore, FORTRAN program (FastXcorr) is presented to fast determine cross-over points using an overlap-sector, and to adjust cross-over errors using a weighted linear interpolation algorithm.
Combination therapy of oral hypoglycemic agents in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

The Korean Diabetes Association (KDA) recently updated the Clinical Practice Guidelines on antihyperglycemic agent therapy for adult patients with type <sub>2</sub> diabetes mellitus (T<sub>2</sub>DM). In combination therapy of oral hypoglycemic agents (OHAs), general recommendations were not changed from those of the 2015 KDA guidelines. The Committee on Clinical Practice Guidelines of the KDA has extensively reviewed and discussed the results of meta-analyses and systematic reviews of effectiveness and safety of OHAs and many clinical trials on Korean patients with T<sub>2</sub>DM for the update of guidelines. All OHAs were effective when added to metformin or metformin and sulfonylurea, although the effects of each agent on body weight and hypoglycemia were different. Therefore, selection of a second agent as a metformin add-on therapy or third agent as a metformin and sulfonylurea add-on therapy should be based on the patient’s clinical characteristics and the efficacy, side effects, mechanism of action, risk of hypoglycemia, effect on body weight, patient preference, and combined comorbidity. In this review, we address the results of meta-analyses and systematic reviews, comparing the effectiveness and safety among OHAs. It will help to choose the appropriate drug for an individual patient with T<sub>2</sub>DM.

<P>We report, for the first time, a successful 2.5-Gb/s transmission performance of a 1.5-mum emission monolithic vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) over hybrid links composed of 25-km-long conventional single-mode fibers (SMFs) and a 2.2-km-long 50-mum core multimode fibers (MMFs). This result suggests that 1.5-mum wavelength VCSELs can be effectively used for multigigabit-per-second transmission over hybrid links interconnecting SMF-based long-distance and (or) subscriber network lines with MMF-based local-area network lines in the future ubiquitous network era</P>

원자력발전소 화재방호는 소방법령에서 요구하는 인명안전 및 재산보호에 대한 요건이외에도 원자력법령에서 요구하고 있는 원자로의 안전정지 및 방사성물질 누출제한에 대한 요건을 만족시켜야 한다. 본 논문에서는 소방시설에 대한 소방법령 적용시 문제점과 현재 원전에 대한 화재방호 규제현황에 대하여 소개하고 원전 화재안전성 향상을 위한 규제방향을 제시하고자 한다.

In order to develop a core set and new corn variety in Korea, we evaluated the morphological characteristics of 194 maize accessions by examining eight quantitative characteristics. On the evaluation of quantitative traits for 194 maize accessions, they showed the morphological variations in tassel length (35.1±5.0 cm), plant height (226.1±33.7 cm), ear height (86.3±22.6cm), stem diameter (2.3±0.6 cm), leaf width (9.3±1.1 cm), ear length (14.5±2.4 cm), ear row number (14.1±1.9 row), and 100 kernel weight (24.9±4.4 g). The results of principal component analysis (PCA) indicated that the tassel length, plant height, and ear height greatly contributed to positive direction on the first principal component axis. One-hundred kernel weight contributed to negative direction on the second principal component axis. Thus these morphological characteristics, which contributed greatly in the first and second principal components, might be useful for discrimination among 194 maize accessions. In our study, seven accessions, such as IT026357, IT026441, IT027321, IT033271, IT033591, IT033597 and IT124273, particularly were measured high on yield-related traits. Consequently, the 194 maize accessions used in this study could be used as promising materials for maize breeding programs such as development of new hybrid in Korea.
