        자돈에 있어 게르마늄 용질액의 급여가 성장 및 혈액학적 변화에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 이산화게르마늄을 함유한 게르마늄 용질액을 자돈에 급여하였을 때 성장 및 혈액학적 변화에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 실시하였다. 3원 교잡종 자돈 60두 (평균체중 11.22±0.10㎏)를 공시하였다. 시험설계는 옥수수-대두박 위주의 대조구(CON)와, 대조구 사료내 게르마늄 용질액을 0.5 ppm 첨가한 구(GC0.5) 및 대조구 사료내 게르마늄 용질액을 1.0 ppm 첨가한 구(GC1.0)로 3개 처리를 하였다. 0-10일간 사양시험기간동안, 일당증체량에 있어서 GC0.5 처리구가 약간 높게 평가되었다(quadratic effect, P<0.02). 그러나 전체 시험기간동안, 일당증체량, 일당사료섭취량 및 사료효율에 있어서 처리구간에 유의적인 차이는 보이지 않았다. 영양소 소화율에 있어서는 GC0.5 처리구가 조회분(linear effect, P<0.01; quadratic effect, P<0.04), 칼슘(linear effect, P<0.01; quadratic effect, P<0.01), 인 (linear effect, P<0.02; quadratic effect, P<0.04) 소화율이 유의적으로 높게 평가되었다. 혈액내 neutrophil 농도에 있어서는 게르마늄 용질액의 첨가 수준이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다(quadratic effect, P<0.02). 결론적으로, 자돈 사료내 게르마늄 용질액의 급여가 성장 및 혈액학적 수치에는 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 사료된다. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary germanium colloid on the growth performance and hematological values in nursery pigs. Sixty pigs (11.22(0.10 ㎏ average initial body weight) were used in a 20 d growth assay. Dietary treatments included 1) CON (basal diet), 2) GC0.5 (basal diet+0.5 ppm germanium colloid) and 3) GC1.0 (basal diet+1.0 ppm germanium colloid). For d 0 to 10, pigs fed GC0.5 diet grew faster than pigs fed CON and GC1.0 diets (Quadratic effect, P<0.02). However, through the entire experimental period, no statistical differences were found for aver-age daily gain, average daily feed intake and gain/feed. Apparent digestibilities of crude ash (Linear effect, P<0.01; Quadratic effect, P<0.04), calcium (Linear effect, P<0.01; Quadratic effect, P<0.01) and phosphorus (Linear effect, P<0.02; Quadratic effect, P<0.04) in pigs fed GC0.5 diet were greater than for pigs fed CON and GC1.0. Neutrophil concentration in blood increased as the concentration of germanium colloid in the diets was increased with significant difference (Quadratic effect, P<0.02). In conclusion, growth performance and hematological values were not influenced by dietary germanium colloid.

        Research on Development Policies of Zhoushan New Area in China

        Since the 1978, China has begun to develop a large-scale new areas in order to promote national economy. Zhejiang Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, which has obvious advantages in location, resources and industry, etc., is the only city-transformed district in China, a forerunner of Zhejiang Province and an important growth pole of Yangtze River delta in marine economy development. Setting up of this district is an important step of China in adopting the marine power strategy. Marine powers refer to the nations that have strong comprehensive strength in marine development, utilization, protection and management. This paper explores the innovative mode of setting up Zhoushan Archipelago New Area to promote the development of marine economy, speed up the openness of Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, construct the international logistics hubs, establish marine-related industry system, establish free trade zone, and construct marine science and technology base, and build a comprehensive marine development and experiment zone. This papre provides the policy implications to the Korean government. Korean government should have a good understanding of China’s strategy for marine economic zone.

        Qi-activating quercetin alleviates mitochondrial dysfunction and neuroinfl ammation in vivo and in vitro

        Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a multifactorial neurodegenerativedisease manifesting mitochondrial damagesand neuroinfl ammation. Qi is defi ned as a natural power thatcan regulate the energy fl ow in Oriental medicine, whereasmitochondria generate energy power in Western medicine. We investigated whether Qi -enhancing component in Orientalherb medicines could activate mitochondrial activities. Quercetin was found as a major bioactive compound inmost Qi -activating Oriental herb medicines through onlinesearch for active compounds in several Oriental Medicinedatabases. We then investigated if quercetin could reverse1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium (MPP + )-induced mitochondrialdysfunction and lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-inducedneuroinfl ammation. Mitochondrial activities were monitoredbased on complex 1 NADH dehydrogenase activities, ATPcontents, mitochondrial membrane potential, cellular/mitochondrialreactive oxygen species, and oxygen consumptionrate in SH-SY5Y cells. Quercetin at concentration up to 20 μg/ml was not cytotoxic to SH-SY5Y cells. Pre-treatmentwith quercetin signifi cantly protected mitochondrialdamages in 1 mM MPP + - or 100 ng/ml LPS-treated cells. Quercetin increased expression levels of tyrosine hydroxylaseand mitochondria controlling proteins. When in vivoeff ects of quercetin were assessed by immunohistochemicalstaining of tissue sections from LPS-injected mice brains,quercetin reduced the activation of microglia and astrocytesin the hippocampus and substantia nigra of LPS-injectedmice. Our data suggest that Qi -activating quercetin mightbe therapeutically eff ective for neuroinfl ammation-mediatedneurodegeneration by alleviating mitochondrial damages.

        Schisandrin B Improves the Hypothermic Preservation of Celsior Solution in Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells

        BACKGROUND: Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) have emerged as promising therapy for immune and inflammatory diseases. However, how to maintain the activity and unique properties during cold storage and transportation is one of the key factors affecting the therapeutic efficiency of hUCMSCs. Schisandrin B (SchB) has many functions in cell protection as a natural medicine. In this study, we investigated the protective effects of SchB on the hypothermic preservation of hUCMSCs. METHODS: hUCMSCs were isolated from Wharton’s jelly. Subsequently, hUCMSCs were exposed to cold storage (4 C) and 24-h re-warming. After that, cells viability, surface markers, immunomodulatory effects, reactive oxygen species (ROS), mitochondrial integrity, apoptosis-related and antioxidant proteins expression level were evaluated. RESULTS: SchB significantly alleviated the cells injury and maintained unique properties such as differentiation potential, level of surface markers and immunomodulatory effects of hUCMSCs. The protective effects of SchB on hUCMSCs after hypothermic storage seemed associated with its inhibition of apoptosis and the anti-oxidative stress effect mediated by nuclear factor erythroid 2–related factor 2 signaling. CONCLUSION: These results demonstrate SchB could be used as an agent for hypothermic preservation of hUCMSCs.

        ‘장소 만들기(Place Making)’관점의 역사 문화거리 공공디자인에 관한 고찰

        우리는 장소마케팅 활용의 과부하로 인한 공공 공간디자인의 난개발과 갈등을 경험하고 있다. 이를 극복하기 위한 대안으로 지역 커뮤니티의 주도적 활동을 통한 ‘장소 만들기’ 개념이 ‘역사 문화거리’라고 하는 공공 공간디자인과 결을 같이 할 수 있는가 하는 가능성 타진 및 대안적 디자인 방향성에 관한 고찰이 본 고의 목적이자 필요성이다. 이에 장소성(placeness)과 장소감(sense of place)의 개념해석을 통한 역사 문화거리 장소정체성을 재정의하고 역사, 문화적 지역성과 공간 특성을 상위개념으로 공유가치와 장소 만들기와의 상관성을 하위개념으로 하여 국내 두 곳의 사례를 고찰하였다. 결과적으로 역사 문화 재생을 활용한 소규모 공공 공간디자인에 있어 장소 만들기 방법을 적극적으로 수용할 수 있으며 ’지역의 위기를 극복할 수 있는 하나의 대안이 될 수 있다는 것’과, ‘역사 문화거리 조성을 위한 공공 공간디자인과 공간 콘텐츠의 유기적 융합이 요구’되는 것, 사례로 선정된 장소가 내포하는 공유가치는 ‘매개 > 체험 > 상징 > 실용적 가치 순의 빈도를 보이는 것’으로 확인이 되었다. We are experiencing conflicts and reckless development of public space design due to overload of place marketing. As an alternative to overcome this, the concept of 'making a place' through the initiative of the local community is in line with the public space design of the historical and cultural street, and the consideration of the alternative design direction is the purpose of this study. purpose and necessity. Accordingly, through the conceptual interpretation of placeness and sense of place, the historical and cultural street place identity is redefined, and the correlation between shared value and placemaking is made a lower concept with history, cultural locality and spatial characteristics as the upper concept. Therefore, two domestic cases were considered. As a result, in small-scale public space design using historical and cultural regeneration, the method of making a place can be actively utilized and becomes an alternative to overcome the local crisis. It was confirmed that the shared value implied by the place selected as this request and case was shown in the order of mediation > experience > symbol > practical value.

        Segment Deletion and Blocking Triggered by Suffixation in English : An Optimality Theoretic Approach

        This paper discusses segment deletion and blocking effects triggered by suffixation in English from the perspective of Optimality Theory. First, considering both stem-final rime deletion and blocking of suffixation, we argue that the two seemingly different phenomena can be given a unified account by using the Obligatory Contour Principle (OCP). That is, when suffixation creates a string of syllables with identical onsets, stem-final rime is deleted in conformity with the constraint. We also show that suffixation is blocked where the resulting form violates the OCP. Finally, addressing stem-final vowel deletion induced by vowel-initial suffixes, we claim that the vowel deletion applies as a repair strategy to avoid violation of the markedness constraint No Vowel Hiatus, which rules out two adjacent vowels across a syllable boundary.

        This paper proposes a wind turbine protection method using the negative sequence current flowing through the wind turbine. The feasibility of the proposed method is proved by applying the symmetrical analysis to the power system integrated with a large scale wind farm. The performance of the proposed method is verified based on the EMTP-RV simulation. The results show that the negative sequence currents flowing through the wind turbines connected to the faulted feeder, where a single-phase-to-ground fault occurs, is much larger than those flowing through the wind turbines connected to the healthy feeder, and thus the magnitude of the negative sequence current can be used to easily detect whether there is a single-phase-to-ground fault occurring in the connected feeder.

        Power output of a wind farm fluctuates throughout a day. This affect a distance relay for wind farm intertie protection because a voltage of a relaying point varies due to fluctuating output of a wind farm. This paper describes the analysis of the response of a distance relay for intertie protection when the power output of a wind farm increases. A series of single phase to ground faults were also simulated and analyzed with PSCAD/EMTDC generated data.

        Fault ride-through 요구를 고려한 풍력발전단지 연계선 보호 거리계전 알고리즘

        A large modern wind farm should satisfy the requirements for a grid and accomplish the optimization of the wind farm system. The wind farm intertie protection system should consider a Fault Ride-Through (FRT) requirement for more reliable protection. The wind farm should keep connected to the grid in the case of a grid fault whilst it should be isolated for an intertie fault. This paper proposes a distance relaying algorithm suitable for wind farm intertie protection considering the FRT requirement. The proposed algorithm estimates the impedance based on a differential equation method because the frequency of the voltage and current deviates the nominal frequency. The algorithm extends the reach of Zone 1 up to 100 % of the length of the intertie to implement the FRT requirement. To discriminate an intertie fault from a grid fault, the algorithm uses a voltage blocking scheme because the magnitude of the voltage at the relaying point for an intertie fault becomes less than that for a grid fault. The performance of the algorithm is verified using a PSCAD/EMTDC simulator under various fault conditions. The algorithm can discriminate successfully the intertie fault from grid fault and thus helps to implement the FRT requirement of a wind farm.

        자속-자화 전류 곡선과 전압-철손 전류 곡선을 이용한 측정용 철심 변류기의 보상 알고리즘 개발

        This paper describes the design, evaluation and implementation of a compensating algorithm for an iron-cored measurement current transformer (CT) that removes the effects of the hysteresis characteristics of the iron-core. The exciting current resulting from the hysteresis characteristics of the core causes an error of the CT. The proposed algorithm decomposes the exciting current into the core loss current and the magnetizing current and each of them is estimated. The core loss current is calculated from the secondary voltage and the voltage-core loss current curve. The core flux linkage is calculated and then inserted into the flux-magnetizing current curve to estimate the magnetizing current. The exciting current at every sampling interval is obtained by summing the core loss and magnetizing currents and then added to the measured current to obtain the correct secondary current. The voltage-core loss current curve and flux-magnetizing current curves, which are different from the conventional curves, are derived in this paper. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated under various conditions using EMTP generated data. The experimental test results of an iron-core type electronic CT, which consists of the iron-core and the compensation board, are also included. The results indicate that the proposed algorithm can improve the accuracy of the measurement CT significantly, and thus reduce the size and the cost of the CT.
