긴 작품활동 동안 예이츠의 관심의 초점은 항상 사람들에게 맞춰져 있었다. 이는 희곡이나 산문 작품에만 해당하는 말이 아니라 그의 시에도 마찬가지로 적용된다. 그의 시에 등장하는 인물 중에는 신화적 인물들이 상당수 있는데 예이츠가 정의하는 신화는 단지 신들의 이야기만이 아닌 보다 넓은 의미의 정의, 여러 세대를 두고 전해 내려온 전설적 인물들도 포함한다. 릴리안 페더는 예이츠에게 신화의 주인공들은 한 문명의 발단단계를 나타내며 그 소산물이라고 말한 바 있다. 한 시대의 특징들이 신화를 통해 전달되며 현대에 도전하는 시금석이 된다는 것이다. 예이츠의 신화적 인물들은 신화라는 단어가 일반적으로 연상시키는 그리스, 로마 신화보다도 그의 조국 아일랜드의 신화에서 나온 인물이 더 많다는 특성을 지니고 있다. 예이츠는 물론 아일랜드 인들만을 자신의 독자로 생각하고 글을 쓴 것은 아니지만 이들 인물들을 시에서 묘사함으로써 잘 알려지지 않았던 아일랜드의 문화적 유산을 성공적으로 보편화, 세계화하는 본보기를 보여주고 있다. 예이츠는 시에서 기존 신화를 단순히 인용하는 것이 아니라 자신의 필요에 맞게 한, 두 양상을 선택해 확대하고 증보하는 자유로운 상상력의 구사로 새로운 인물로 창조하는 면모를 보여준다. 또한 그에게 신화적 인물은 사라진 고대세계의 인물로만 존재하는 것이 아니라 현대사회에 재현될 수 있는 인물상으로 그려진다. 그리하여 신화적 영웅 쿠훌린은 1916년 혁명의 현장에 되살아나며 트로이의 헬렌은 그의 평생의 연인 모드 곤의 모습에 투영되어있다. 예이츠가 한 편의 시에서는 한가지 양상을 중점적으로 묘사했기 때문에 예이츠 시의 신화적 인물들은 여러 편의 시를 종합하여 고찰할 때 그 인물의 유형적 특성이 잘 드러난다. 본고에서는 사랑의 신 엥거스, 은둔현자 퍼거스, 시인 어쉰, 전사 쿠훌린, 절세미녀 트로이 헬렌의 다섯 인물의 분석을 통해 예이츠가 이들 신화적 인물들을 통해 구현하고자 했던 인간관을 살펴본다.

Methods : The subjects were 132 (67 male and 65 female), and classified to three age groups (≤39,40∼49, and 50≤). Hood lead, manganese and aluminium were analyzed by atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and blood silicon was analyzed by direct current plasma optical omission spectrometer. Results : Blood lead levels(geometric mean, S.D) were (3.49, 1.70) ㎍/dL in male auld (3.04, 1.65) ㎍/dL in female, but the difference is not significant, and there was no significant difference between age groups. Mean blood manganese level was 0.99±0.41㎍/dL, and there was no significant difference between sex or age groups. Mean blood aluminium level was 0.59±0.35㎍/dL and there was no significant difference between sex or age groups. Mean blood silicon level was 54.41±27.64㎍/dL in male and 43.34±23.51㎍/dL in female, and the level in male was significantly higher than that in female (p〈0.05). There was significant difference between age groups, and the oldest showed the highest level in male (p〈0.05), but no significant difference between age groups in female. Conclusions : Authors hope that this study would provide basic data for determininig reference values and evaluating health effects.

신경병증성 통증 모델쥐 뒤뿌리신경절의 Nitric Oxide Synthase 아형 및 NADPH-diaphorase 발현에 관한 연구

Injury to peripheral nerve somtimes lead to neuropathic pain. Nitric oxide(NO) is increased in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) of neuropathic pain models, and L-NAME, a nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, reduces neuropathic pain. However, it is not known that underlying mechanism of NO involvement in development and maintanence of neuropathic pain. It was found that there were three NOS isoforms-nNOS, eNOS, and iNOS. It is also necessary to investigate NOS isoforms in neuropathic pain. The aim of this study is to investigate NOS isoforms and NADPH-diaphorase expressions and underlying mechanism of NO involvement in neuropathic pain. The 5^th lambar (L5) DRG were obtaind after tight ligation of L5 an L6 spinal nerves for 7 days. Toluidine blue stain, immunohistochemistry for nNOS, eNOS, and iNOS, and NADPH-diaphorase histochemistry were performed. All specimens were observed under light microscope. nNOS expression was increased significantly in the cytoplasm of the DRG of ligated side at 7 day post-ligation (7D PL). eNOS expression was also increased in the blood vessel, a few neurons or satellite cells, and cell membrane of Schwann cells in the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. iNOS expression was increased in a few blood vessels and cytoplasm of small neurons in the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. NADPH-diaphorase expression was increased significantly in the neurons of the DRG of ligate side at 7D PL, but NADPH-diaphorase expressions were weak or absent in the blood vessel and Schwann cell in the contralateral DRG and the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. It is suggested that NOS isoforms may be closely related to development and mantanence of neuropathic pain in order of nNOS>eNOS>iNOS.

뇌졸증 후유증 환자에 대한 Idebenone의 효과와 안전성에 관한 연구

To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Idebenone in 19 patients with the sequelae of the Cerebrovascular accidents(CVA). we conducted an open label trial of Idebenone for 8 weeks. The protocol consists of baseline. 4 weeks and 8 weeks evaluation. We evaluated psychic signs. subjective symptoms. activities of daily life and neurologic signs. The results were as follows : 1. Eight weeks after the trial. the majority of subjects(73.7%) were improved slightly or better. 2. At final evaluation, the slight improvement or better of psychic signs, subjective symptoms, activities of daily life and neurologic signs were 75.0%, 60.0%, 79.7% and 70.0%, respectively. 3. The adverse reactions were observed in 2 cases. one was headache and the other Gl trouble. There also were noticed transient elevation of SGOT/SGPT in one case. According to these results, it was concluded that administration of Idebenone after the acute phase of CVA is effective and safe.

Community School as one of its extra functions has worked for the local community giving man-power service in busy farming seasons, taking measures against drought and flood, and exterminating noxious insects, etc. But the school as a center of the rural community in all respects, can give rather more constant and ever-lasting service, if something new institutional measures are taken. For that reasons, I here propose to establish the school cooperative association. 2, In need of education and measures to strength the established Ri-Dong local cooperative associations, school cooperative association, to be developed into a community cooperative association, win render serveices for the development of rural areas. 3. Under the school cooperative association, especially the banking department as an agency for banking organ win contribute to alleviate financial deficiencies in poverty-striken rura a reas where such a banking organ has never been yet. Through such an organ as banking department, we can encourage people who have had the habits of saving among the rural people by economy in consumptions and austerity life. By doing so, the standard of agricutural economy will be raised and the prosperity of tomorrow win be anticipated.

NH₃가스 미량첨가 분위기에서의 CO-H₂혼합가스에 의한 과탄화철의 합성

The synthesis process of iron carbide was proceeded in two stages of reduction of hematite fines by H₂ gas, and carburization of the reduced metal by CO-H₂ gas mixture at 600℃. The surface of reduced iron was pre-treated with an addition of 0.05 vol% NH₃-Ar before carburization. The synthesized iron carbides were comprehensively explored by C/S analyzer (Low C/S determinator), Mossbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Raman spectroscopy at various reaction times of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 min. By addition of a small amount of NH3 gas, the super iron carbides contained 10 wt% carbon were made, and such addition stabilized iron carbides. It was found that addition of NH3 gas played a major role in the formation of iron carbide without decomposition (Fe₃C→ 3Fe+C) of iron carbides and precipitation of free carbon. From these results, we succeed in synthesis of super iron carbide, Fe_(5)C₂, with a stable single phase without Fe and Fe₃C phases. (Received August 2, 2004)

THACKERAY의 社會觀에 관한 小考

Thackeray looked upon human being as a being for all property and glory. He said it seemed that all children are innocent in the first but according to their growing up they find out what the social is and they want to rise themselves from a humble position to affluence in the society. And there were a deep-rooted hatred on the part of Thackeray towards such persons. The most important thing on Vanity Fair was that many writers were interested in the Vanity Fair for about a century since it had been published. In spite of disadvantageous condition modern readers thought of Vanity Fair as a good story, and they found out a merit and uniqueness in it, and they looked upon it as a realistic novel. Thackery pointed out dual personality of human being and emphasized wit and sentimentality, and looked upon the vain ambition of persons with sympathy and laid stress on the value of true human being without vanity.

Recently, Satellite image data is applied in many fields. Spatially, NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) is widely using as a indicator for vegetation environment assessment and utilized to measure quantities of forest resources and vegetation vitality. In this study, it is introduced to perform land use classification for each land cover condition and NDVI using Landsat-5 Thematic Mapper imagery data acquired in 1997. Also this study is aimed at organizing base data to manage and use forest rationally with focus on Mt. Ungil Experiment Forest belong to Dongguk University in Namyangju, Kyounggi Province. Land cover is classified into total seven categories as water body, urban area, barren area, agriculture area, grass land, forest and etc.

구조적 동인이 제조간접비에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구
