        Vertical deformation and lateral flow can occur as a result of the construction of nearby embankments on a soft ground. This paper considered the behavior from a model test that situated pressure berms on the soft ground by trapezodial load., as varied the height and width of the pressure berm and height(H) of the load. But width(B) of the load is equal to all tests. The test results are as follows : 1. Maximum settlement occur at the center of the embankment and ending settlement is to the depth about 1.8B from the ground surface. 2. Maximum uplift location is about 0.3B ∼ 0.4B from the toe of the pressure berm and maximum uplift deformation occur with its height at H/2 without any influence from its width. 3. The width and height of the pressure berm for mimimum uplift deformation is 2H and H/3. 4. Maximum lateral flow occur to the depth at D/3 from the ground surface without any influence from its height and width.

      • 古代그이스人들의 身體觀에 관한 硏究

        This study was intended to probe into the Greeks' somatic idea which is widely regarded as the very source and basis of modern physical eaucation. The researches compared the idea of human body in the Greek era with that held by the people before the Greek age. The following paragraph is thought to best summarize the Greeks' idea of humn body. 1. The approaches of modern physical education are focused on viewing human body as a psychosomatic unit, overcoming the traditional idea since the Middle Ages which says body is lower than mind. 2. The primitivies prior to the old Greek age had a viewpoint that inner part of body is dwelled by spirits, because they were under the great influence of animism. 3. To understand the Greeks' somatic view, it is necessary to divide the Greece Age into two eras; 1) Ancient time 2) The classical time in the first part or ancient time of the Greek age from the early 6th century to the early 5th B.C. The Geek people had no concrete idea of human body and rather interpreted body and mind as a whole, undivided being. Turning into the classical Greek Age, monism about human body and mind began to be transformed into dualism. This change in somatic view is believed to have been influenced a lot by the imported Orphic cut. But the Greeks' view of human body in the classical time was its superiority to mind, resulting from the idea that body and mind form a unit. While a well-proportioned person was merited, mind or soul was degraded as a mere shadow of a week person.

      • 스테인 에칭기법을 이용한 실리콘 마이크로머시닝

        스테인 에칭기법을 이용하여 실리콘의 도핑 농도가 높은 영역을 선택적으로 식각하는 방법을 개발하였다. 이 방법은 양극 반응을 이용한 마이코로머시닝 방법에서와 같이 반응 시편의 뒷면에 전극을 연결하거나 특수한 반응기를 이용해 전류를 공급할 필요성이 없으므로 공정 단계가 간단해지고 표준적인 집적회로 공정에서도 응용될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 양극반응에서는 불가능한 n^(+)/p 구조 시편의 선택적인 식각도 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 스테인 에칭기법을 이용하여 n/n^(+)/n 3층 구조의 시편으로 켈틸레버 및 에어 브릿지 등을 실현하므로써 미세기계구조의 제조 가능성을 확인하였다. We have developed a preferential silicon etching method using stain etching technique. Current supply to the backside contact of silicon wafer and special reactor are not required in this method. Therefore this method is much simpler than anodic reaction method and could be applied to standard VLSI process. In addition, the n^(+) layer in n^(+)/p structure could be preferentially etched by this technique, which could not be implemented by anodic reaction method. We have also fabricated micromechanical structures like cantilevers and air-bridges on the n/n^(+)/n wafer using this stain etching technique.

        XML (extensible Markup Language) has emerged as a prevalent standard for document representation and exchange on the Web. XML documents contain information of different sensitivity degrees, so that XML Document must selectively shared by user communities. There is thus the need for models and mechanisms enabling the specification and enforcement of access control policies for XML documents. Mechanisms are also required enabling a secure and selective dissemination of documents to users, according to the authorizations that these users have. In this paper, we make RBAC Based access Control polices to the problem of secure and selective access of XML documents.

        An Adaptive Equalizer for High-Speed Receiver using a CDR-Assisted All-Digital Jitter Measurement

        An adaptive equalization scheme based on all-digital jitter measurement is proposed for a continuous time linear equalizer (CTLE) preceding a clock and data recovery (CDR) in a receiver circuit for high-speed serial interface. The optimum equalization coefficient of CTLE is determined during the initial training period based on the measured jitter. The proposed circuit finds automatically the optimum equalization coefficient for CTLE with 20”, 30”, 40” FR4 channel at the data rate of 5 Gbps. The chip area of the equalizer including the adaptive controller is 0.14 mm2 in a 0.13 μm process. The equalizer consumes 12 mW at 1.2 V supply during the normal operation. The adaptive equalizer has been applied to a USB3.0 receiver.

        Case Reports : Vulvar Skin Metastasis of Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma

        In this study, we examined a case where lung cancer metastasized to the vulvar area. A 79-year-old woman that was a heavy smoker was referred to our department with a short (two-week) history of dyspnea, and with a painful nodule on her right labium majora, which she had noticed almost three years earlier. Histopathologically, the specimen appeared as a poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. The chest X-ray, chest computerized tomography scan, and percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy via bronchoscopy revealed squamous cell carcinoma in the right upper lobe of the lung. Based on these clinical and histopathological findings, we concluded that her condition was skin metastasis at the right labium majora from the lung cancer, which occurs very rarely.         Making use of the settlement measurement data of "Kwang-yang port's second stage first container terminal construction site" where Pack drain and preloading method were simultaneously applied on the ultra soft ground (N=0) reclamated with marine clay authors concluded as follows by the settlement predicting method. According to results of future prediction, the value obtained by the hyperbolic method is similar to the values of six places out of eight. From relations between the theoretical settlement and the real settlement, authors analyzed both the district of 5 t/㎡ designed load and the district of 1.5t/㎡ designed load. The result is following. ·Relations between theoretical settlement and thickness of soft ground are ???=-0.1129x-1.2183 at 5t/㎡ district and ???=-0.078x-1.4281 at 1.5t/㎡ district. ·Relations between real settlement and thickness of soft ground are Sγ=-0.1852x-0.8737 at 5t/㎡ district and Sγ=-0.2201x-0.0430 at 1.5t/㎡ district. After examining the relation between hyperbolic method's coefficient α, β and thickness of soft ground, authors found α has no explicit relation, β tends to decrease as the thickness increased.

        5-Gb/s Peak Detector Using a Current Comparator and a Three-State Charge Pump

        <P>A 5-Gb/s current-mode peak detector is proposed using a V-I converter, a current comparator, and a charge pump with three states (i.e., UP, DN, and HOLD). It eliminates the problem that a voltage error increases with an input data rate in a conventional peak detector circuit. In this brief, the voltage error between the measured input and output peak voltages is smaller than 5% for a pseudo-random binary sequence signal at a data rate up to 5 Gb/s, with an input voltage swing up to ±500 mV and an input common-mode voltage of 0.9 V. A chip fabricated in a 0.18-μm process gives the power consumption of 2.7 mW at a voltage supply of 1.8 V and a chip area of 150 μm × 120 μm.</P>

        The purpose of this study is on a historical consideration of a philosophical viewpoint about human body conceived by the West. In the development of western thought, Hellenism and Hebraism, the two thoughts lie at the bottom of the historical viewpoint all the time, to understand these thoughts fundamentally become to understand western thought essentially. The major points of Consideration are as follow ; 1. The philosophical viewpoint about a human body by hellenism grasps body(δωμα: Soma) in man's and animal's body, a corpse and a space concept of protecting the soul, psychosomatic relationship of a man in a unit and duality of body and mind. 2. The philosophical viewpoint about a human body by hebraism grasps body(?? : Sarx) in a man, a human being as creative thing and a nature of sin, a temple of the holy spirit, psychosomatic relationship of a man in a unified organization and duality of body and mind. The former was so deeply influenced by Y.M.C.A.'s activity, while the latter by a religious doctrine of christ.
