Experiences and Perceptions of Pre-service Special Education Teachers on Flipped Learning

The study investigated the experiences and perceptions of pre-service special education teachers who had adopted flipped classrooms. The participants in this study were fourteen second- and third- year students majoring in special education at K University. They took a course entitled “Theory of Early Childhood Special Education,” which adopted the flipped learning format for one semester. The researcher conducted individual interviews to identify participants’ experiences and perceptions with respect to the flipped classroom. The results of the interviews were transcribed, and the transcriptions were analyzed by constant comparative methods. Three themes and six subcategories were derived: (a) opinion about operation of flipped learning, (b) experience with flipped learning, and (c) proposals to improve flipped learning in universities. Based on the results of this study, various teaching support methods in teacher training institutions were discussed to improve the training of special education teachers.

본 연구는 유아특수교육과 관련된 국내 전문학술지 논문의 질적 연구 동향을 분석함으로써 우리나라의 유아특수교육 분야에 나타난 질적 연구 동향을 파악하고 앞으로의 연구 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 유아특수교육 관련 학술지 10편에 발표된 2000년부터 2010년 6월까지의 유아특수교육 관련 논문 총 52편을 최종적으로 선정하여 분석하였다. 최종 선정된 논문들은 연도별ㆍ학회지별, 연구주제별, 연구방법별로 분석되었다. 연구결과 국내의 유아특수교육 분야에서의 질적 연구는 유아특수교육연구 학술지를 중심으로 확장되었으며, 통합교육과 관련한 주제에 대해서 많은 연구가 이루어졌으며, 교사와 부모를 대상으로 한 면담연구가 많이 이루어지고 있었다. 그리고 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증방법에 대한 관심도 증가하면서 질적 연구의 질을 높이려는 노력도 증가하고 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 조사된 연구결과를 중심으로 앞으로의 유아특수교육 분야에서의 질적 연구의 미래 방향성 등을 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to analyze qualitative research trends and to explore implications for future qualitative research in early intervention/early childhood special education(EI/ECSE) in Korea. A total of 52 qualitative research papers in 10 peer-reviewed journals from 2000 to 2010 years were selected and analyzed. These papers were analyzed in terms the year of publication, published journals, research topics, and research method. Results indicated that qualitative research had increased especially in the journal of early childhood special education, inclusive education topics had been explored mostly, interviews with teachers and/or parents had been conducted mostly. In addition, efforts to improve the quality of qualitative research had been made with the increased interest in reliability and validity. Based on these results, we discussed and explored implications for future studies on qualitative research of early intervention/early childhood special education.
SNS 상호피드백 활동을 활용한 현장관찰수업에 관한 예비특수교사의 경험과 교사효능감에서의 변화에 관한 연구

이 연구에서는 SNS 상호피드백 활동을 적용한 현장관찰수업에 관한 예비특수교사의 경험과 교사효능감에 어떠한 변화가 나타나는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 11명의 예비특수교사에게 SNS 상호피드백 활동을 적용한 현장관찰수업을 실시하였고, 관찰수업일지, 개별 면담을 통해서 예비특수교사의 경험에 대해 살펴보고 대응표본 t 검증을 통해서 교사효능감에서 어떠한 변화가 나타나는지 살펴보았다. SNS 상호피드백 활동을 적용한 현장관찰 수업에 대한 연구 참여자의 경험은 대체적으로 긍정적인 것으로 나타났고, 교사효능감도 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 하여 예비특수교사의 전문성을 향상시키기 위한 교원양성기관에서의 다양한 수업 지원 방안에 대해 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to investigate 11 pre-service special education teachers’ experiences and changes of teacher efficacy in field observation of SNS mutual feedback activities. The teachers’ experiences were gathered via field journal and individual interview. In addition, teacher efficacy was measured before and after the field observation and analyzed by a paired t-test. The field observation of a class using SNS mutual feedback activities improved their perception toward practice positively and significantly increased their teacher efficacy. Based on these results, various ways to improve the professionalism of pre-service special education teachers are discussed.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, driven by advancements in mobile technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT), has created a society where not only people communicate with each other but also people communicate with things, and even things communicate with other things. The IoT collects and analyzes information through networks to provide users with suitable living environments. However, humans struggle to adapt to these rapidly changing environments, leading to sensory overload with new media like IoT.<BR/> This study aims to explore the newly emerged IoT media through Marshall McLuhan's assertion that the medium is the extension of man and seeks ways to overcome the sensory numbness caused by these new media.<BR/>For theoretical consideration, this study understands these extensions as extensions of the body, senses, and ourselves and discusses media interactions within the home office. Based on this, the study identifies the affordance elements of currently used smart home IoT media and presents the direction for smart home offices through case analysis. I expect to lay the theoretical foundation for sensory interactions with media in future smart home offices.
충남대 잔디밭 토양 중 <sup>40</sup>K과 <sup>137</sup>Cs의 방사능 농도 및 경년 변화

The radioactivity levels of <sup>40</sup>K(Potasium) and <sup>137</sup>Cs(Caesium) in the soil in Chungnam National University were measured using a high-growth ray spectrometry system consisting of a detector (HPGe, High Purity Germanium) and a multi-wave analyzer. The radioactivity level of <sup>40</sup>K in the topsoil in the second half of 2022 in Chungnam National University(CNU), was 863 Bq/kg-dry and the radioactivity level of <sup>137</sup>CS was lower than the minimum detectable activity(MDA). The radioactivity level of <sup>40</sup>K in the subsoil was 882 Bq/kg-dry, and the radioactivity level of <sup>137</sup>Cs was not detected. This is a value that does not deviate from the direction of secular change in radiation levels.
통합유치원에서 협력적 자문을 통한 교사의 놀이개입이 중도중복장애유아의 사회적 상호작용에 미치는 영향

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of play intervention, facilitated through collaborative consultation between general and special education teachers, on the social interaction of a child with severe and multiple disabilities in an inclusive kindergarten. The child’s social initiation, response, and interaction behaviors were observed using a single-subject research design. The main findings were as follows. First, the child’s social initiation behaviors increased. Before the intervention, the child mainly reacted to peers’ voices and toy sounds. However, post-intervention, the child began to suggest play and initiate positive physical contact with peers. Second, the child’s social response behaviors also increased. As the intervention progressed, the initiation behaviors displayed by peers toward the child increased, which in turn led to an increase in the child’s response behaviors towards peers. Third, the child’s social interaction behaviors showed the greatest increase, potentially due to the teacher-led intervention, which encouraged intensive interaction between the child and peers. The significance of this study lies in providing concrete strategies for enhancing interaction between a child with severe and multiple disabilities and children without disabilities in inclusive kindergartens where education is implemented in one classroom.
