<P>We designed and synthesized a red phosphorescent iridium(III) complex, (BTMN)(2)Ir(acac), for solution-processed single-emissive-layer organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), which contains 2-(4-methoxynaphthalen-1-yl)benzo[d]thiazole (BTMN) as the main ligand and acetylacetone (acac) as the ancillary ligand. The photophysical, electrochemical, and electroluminescent (EL) properties of (BTMN) 2Ir(acac) were investigated. Solution-processed single-emissive-layer red and white OLEDs were fabricated using (BTMN) 2Ir(acac) doped in poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) as the emitting layer. The EL spectra of (BTMN) 2Ir(acac) exhibited a maximum emission peak at 598 nm with a full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 75 nm and Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.59, 0.37) at 1000 cd.m(-2). In addition, white-light-emitting devices exhibited CIE coordinates of (0.32, 0.38) at 1000 cd.m(-)2, which are close to the standard white-light CIE coordinates of (0.33, 0.33).</P>

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the immediate effects of myofascial release techniques(MRT) on the diaphragm on maximal respiratory pressure and forced vital capacity(FVC) in healthy adults. Methods : A total of 20 healthy male subjects participated in this study. A spirometer(Pony FX MIP/MEP, Cosmed Inc., Italy) was used to measure the maximal respiratory pressure maximal inspiratory pressure(MIP), maximal expiratory pressure(MEP), and forced vital capacity(FVC). The data were collected before and after MRT. Results : FVC and MIP data were normally distributed, and a paired t-test was employed to analyze the statistical differences between before and after MRT. MEP data were not normally distributed, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to analyze the statistical differences between before and after MRT. There was a significant difference in FVC(P = 0 . 003) but no s ignificant d ifference in MIP(P = 0.448) and MEP(P = 0.200). Conclusion : MRT could be an effective manual technique for decreasing FVC. However, MRT did not induce any changes in MIP and MEP. Therefore, active endurance exercise may be an essential element to increase aerobic capacity in healthy adults.

Intraductal papillary mucinous tumor (IPMT) of the pancreas is a recently understood unique clinicopathologic disease entity comprising approximately 1% of all exocrine pancreatic tumors and 11% of cysticneoplasms of pancreas. It has been reported worldwide, mostly in Japan. It is generally characterized by recurrent pancreatitis, mucin oozing from the papilla of Vater, and dilated pancreatic duct with intraductal filling defects. Microscopically, the mucin-producing columnar epithelium forms papillary proliferation into the dilated pancreatic duct and this feature differentiates IPMT of the pancreas from the more common mucinous cystic neoplasms of the pancreas which usually do not communicate with the pancreatic duct. On the other hand, mucin-hypersecreting bile duct tumors have been rarely reported in the English literature. We herein present the first case of mucin-hypersecreting bile duct tumor combied with IPMT of the pancreas with a review of the related literature.

We present the detailed description on the fiber techniques adopted in the BOES: the design concepts and manufacturing of the v grooves, the procedures of the fiber polishing, adhering of the fibers to the v grooves, and the axis alignment of the fiber input and exit. The high efficiency and throughput of the BOES imply that the adopted fiber arts and the other optical components were well designed and properly treated. We learned that the relatively low efficiency of the 80 micron fiber comparing with the 200 and 300 micron fibers comes from the seeing and the guiding effects not from the poor fiber handling.

본 연구는 지방에 거주하는 중·고 학생선수의 경기력을 향상시키고자 추진했던.학생선수 통합지원센터 사업’의 일환으로 추진한 체력측정을 통해 수집된 자료를 기초로 우리나라 중·고 학생선수들의 성별.학교수준별 .학년별 체력 수준을 파악하고, 평가기준을 설정하는데 목적을 두었다. 2011 ~ 2014년 사이에 전국 5개 지역(부산, 광주, 대전, 경기, 전북)에서 중·고 학생운동선수 연인원 4,243명을 대상으로 체격 및 체력을 측정한 자료를 이용하여 통계분석을 실시하고, 각 항목의 평균, 표준편차 및 Cajori 5단계 평가기준을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physical performance and develop the criteria of 4243 middle and high school students across 5 provinces (Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon, Gyeongi and Jeonbuk) in Korea that took part in the talent development project. The data was collected between 2011 and 2014. The criteria was divided by gender and age across different grades, and the mean, standard deviation and 5 evaluation levels were calculated and analyzed.
