Based upon the fundamental definitions about the probabilistic events and the data generated by the particle filtering algorithm, the paper considers the factors of the number of locations covered and the probability the object appears. In view of the definition of the covering variability and the cover ratio, 5kinds of RFID sensors covering radius are considered. Finally, the experiment is carried out in order to improve the algorithm’s availability and effectiveness.

      • Highly Reliable Product Code for Error Correction

        Bingrui Wang,Xiaofei Yang,Xingzhong Yao,Hongzhi Zhang,Yue Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.8

In storage and communication systems, the product and concatenation codes, which consist of Reed–Solomon (RS) codes and other error-correction codes, can be utilized to effectively correct burst errors by performing erasures-and-errors decoding. However, the RS codes have two drawbacks: 1) the RS decoders may not detect received erroneous codewords, and 2) the RS decoders may generate valid codewords which are not equal to the transmitted codewords. In the implementation of the product and concatenation codes, such decoding drawbacks can cause the RS code to provide incorrect error-detection information or erasure information to other error-correction codes, resulting in unreliable error-correction performance of the systems. In this study, we propose a new product code to overcome these drawbacks by studying the RS product code (RSPC). The new code combines CRC code with RSPC which is called as CRSPC. In addition, the results of experiments show that the new CRSPC can significantly reduce the probabilities of these drawbacks, thereby improving the performance of erasures-and-errors decoding. With minor modifications, the CRSPC algorithm can be applied to Blue-ray disc systems which have powerful recording functions in multimedia.

Short-Term Holiday Travel Demand Prediction for Urban Tour Transportation: A Combined Model Based on STC-LSTM Deep Learning Approach

        Wanying Li,Hongzhi Guan,Yan Han,Haiyan Zhu,Ange Wang 대한토목학회 2022 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.26 No.9

Short-term prediction of holiday travel demand is a complex but key issue to the planning and management of tour transportation system in big cities. This paper develops an improved spatial and temporal correlation long short-term memory model (STC-LSTM) to forecast short-term holiday travel demand based on deep learning approach. Analysis results show six kinds of tourist flow correlations appears in different sets of tourist attractions, and 27.94 percent of the tourist attractions have mid- or high- positive tourist flow correlation with others, meaning that a positive synchronization mechanism exists between suburban tourist attractions in Beijing. The proposed model predicts the holiday travel demand on the basis of the historical data of the spatial and temporal related tourist flows, and the auxiliary data including meteorological data, temporal data, and Internet search index. Based on actual case study with tourist flow data of the suburban tourist attraction in Beijing, the proposed STC-LSTM is carried out to compared with other conventional prediction approaches. Results show that the proposed approach can improve the prediction accuracy and well capture the different spatial and temporal correlations of tourist flows.

      • Anchoring effect of Ni2+ in stabilizing reduced metallic particles for growing single-walled carbon nanotubes

        He, Maoshuai,Wang, Xiao,Zhang, Lili,Wu, Qianru,Song, Xiaojie,Chernov, Alexander I.,Fedotov, Pavel V.,Obraztsova, Elena D.,Sainio, Jani,Jiang, Hua,Cui, Hongzhi,Ding, Feng,Kauppinen, Esko Elsevier 2018 Carbon Vol.128 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The suitability of the NiMgO catalyst as a catalyst in chiral-selective growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) by chemical vapor deposition has been assessed. It reveals that catalyst calcination temperature plays an important role in affecting the catalyst performances. Using CO as the carbon precursor and a chemical vapor deposition reaction temperature of 600 °C, NiMgO pre-calcined at 600 °C demonstrates the best performances in catalyzing the growth of SWNTs with predominant (6, 5) species. Systematic characterizations on catalysts calcinated at different temperatures indicate that Ni2+ ions diffuse towards the interior of MgO matrix upon annealing. DFT-based calculations reveal that the binding energy between Ni2+ and adjacent Ni(0) is larger than that between Mg2+ and Ni (0), while Ni2+ situated deep inside MgO has weak interactions with surface Ni atoms. This work highlights the importance of subsurface Ni2+ in anchoring reduced surface Ni atom, which inhibits the aggregation of Ni particles and therefore, facilitates the growth of SWNTs with a narrow chirality distribution.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>A Ni-incorporated MgO catalyst was developed for predominant synthesis of (6, 5) single walled carbon nanotubes. Trust-aware secure routing protocol for wireless sensor networks

        Hu, Huangshui,Han, Youjia,Wang, Hongzhi,Yao, Meiqin,Wang, Chuhang Electronics and Telecommunications Research Instit 2021 ETRI Journal Vol.43 No.4

A trust-aware secure routing protocol (TSRP) for wireless sensor networks is proposed in this paper to defend against varieties of attacks. First, each node calculates the comprehensive trust values of its neighbors based on direct trust value, indirect trust value, volatilization factor, and residual energy to defend against black hole, selective forwarding, wormhole, hello flood, and sinkhole attacks. Second, any source node that needs to send data forwards a routing request packet to its neighbors in multi-path mode, and this continues until the sink at the end is reached. Finally, the sink finds the optimal path based on the path's comprehensive trust values, transmission distance, and hop count by analyzing the received packets. Simulation results show that TSRP has lower network latency, smaller packet loss rate, and lower average network energy consumption than ad hoc on-demand distance vector routing and trust based secure routing protocol.

Correlation Between Bone Marrow Blasts Counts With Flow Cytometry and Morphological Analysis in Myelodysplastic Syndromes

        Min Huang,Xinya Zhao,Hongzhi Xu,Suqing Liu,Zie Wang,Xiaohui Sui,Jing Li 대한진단검사의학회 2017 Annals of Laboratory Medicine Vol.37 No.5

Dear Editor, Determination of the percentage of blasts in the bone marrow (BM) is one of the critical factors in diagnosing MDS. Flow cytometry (FCM) of BM cells has been introduced as an important co-criterion for diagnosing MDS [1-3]. However, FCM has not been well accepted because of the lack of consensus of the criteria to define a phenotypic myeloblast and the appropriate denominator for calculation. Moreover, BM samples contain variable amounts of peripheral blood mixed with immature cells, thereby complicating interpretation. The present study was designed to choose reagent combinations to identify blasts by FCM in MDS patients, to determine which cell mass as the denominator in the process of counting the percentages of blasts, and to reveal whether the aspirates with high proportions of mature neutrophils should be normalized based on the proportion of dim CD16 maturing myeloid cells.

Analyses of Effects of Process Parameters on Laser Bending of Stiffened Panels

        Shouchong Fu,Lijun Yang,Hongzhi Zhang,Yang Wang,Guanxin Chi 한국정밀공학회 2018 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.19 No.4

In this paper, laser forming technology was extended to form the stiffened panels. Compared with the plate with constant thickness, the stiffened panel was a type of panel with complicated structure and was hard to form. In order to gain a profound insight into the deformation characteristics of the stiffened panel under laser forming, a finite element model was established. The effects of process parameters on the deformation characteristics were investigated in terms of temperature distribution, stress and strain distribution. The influences of the process parameters on the unexpected deformation were analyzed by analyzing the influences of the process parameters on the maximum temperature theoretically. The results showed that laser spot diameter had the most important effect on the maximum temperature followed by the laser power and scanning speed. So when the scanning speed changed, the variation of the difference of the plastic strain between the top and bottom surface was the smallest. When the laser spot diameter decreased, the increment of the maximum temperature, the plastic strain as well as the deformation of the middle position of the scanning path was the largest. The increase of the deformation of the middle position of the scanning path could decrease the degree of the nonuniformity of the deformation of the free end, namely increasing the quality of the formed panel.

Numerical Simulation of the Twist Deformation for the Stiffened Panel with Laser Forming

        Shouchong Fu,Lijun Yang,Hongzhi Zhang,Yang Wang,Guanxin Chi,Ye Ding 한국정밀공학회 2018 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.19 No.10

In the laser forming process of the panel with crossed reinforcing bars (PWCRB), a kind of stiffened panel, twisting of the panel occurred when it was formed under the integral continuous scanning strategy (ICSS). The twisting was restrained obviously when the middle stiffener was heated. In order to reveal the twisting mechanism, a FE model was established and corresponding simulations were conducted. Furthermore, an equivalent model of the sectional structure was established, and a model of the buckling critical load of the stiffener was established based on principle of minimum potential energy. It revealed that the buckling critical load of the middle stiffener was smaller than that of the marginal stiffener. The simulation results showed that the stiffeners suffered from pressure and bending moment during the forming process, which tended to induce the buckling of the stiffeners. Besides, the residual stress of the middle stiffener was larger than that of the marginal stiffener. The bending angle of the middle stiffener increased when it was heated. Besides, the lateral-torsional deformation of the middle stiffener decreased and the twisting of the panel was restrained. It demonstrated that the twisting phenomenon of the PWCRB was caused by the middle stiffener, which suffered from lateral-torsional buckling when the panel was formed with the ICSS.

      • Structure of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase cleaving RNA in an RNA/DNA hybrid

Tian, Lan,Kim, Min-Sung,Li, Hongzhi,Wang, Jimin,Yang, Wei National Academy of Sciences 2018 PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF Vol.115 No.3

<P>HIV-1 reverse transcriptase (RT) contains both DNA polymerase and RNase H activities to convert the viral genomic RNA to dsDNA in infected host cells. Here we report the 2.65-angstrom resolution structure of HIV-1 RT engaging in cleaving RNA in an RNA/DNA hybrid. A preferred substrate sequence is absolutely required to enable the RNA/DNA hybrid to adopt the distorted conformation needed to interact properly with the RNase H active site in RT. Substituting two nucleotides 4 bp upstream from the cleavage site results in scissile-phosphate displacement by 4 angstrom. We also have determined the structure of HIV-1 RT complexed with an RNase H-resistant polypurine tract sequence, which adopts a rigid structure and is accommodated outside of the nuclease active site. Based on this newly gained structural information and a virtual drug screen, we have identified an inhibitor specific for the viral RNase H but not for its cellular homologs.</P>
