Studying on the creation and propagation of magnetic domain walls in Permalloy nanowires over the past two decades has increased dramatically. Each research group has its own strengths in studying the magnetic properties of domain walls created and propagated in this soft magnetic material. Each type of approach has its own advantages and disadvantages. To understand the achievement of each research group on a particular research topic, an overview of the achievements with a technique achieved over the years for a particular research direction is needed. For that purpose, this paper summarizes some research results of establishing the phase diagrams of transverse domain walls using Lorentz transmission electron microscope. Herein, we focus on analyzing the impact of the roughness factor at the edge of the nanowires on the asymmetry of the created transverse domain walls in Permalloy nanowires. The established results are systematically analyzed and discussed. The obtained results are vital towards future applications of racetrack memory devices and magnetic logic gates.

( Nguyen Hoang Loc ),( Hoang Tan Quang ),( Nguyen Bao Hung ),( Nguyen Duc Huy ),( Truong Thi Bich Phuong ),( Tran Thi Thu Ha ) 한국균학회 2011 韓國菌學會誌 Vol.39 No.3
Four Trichoderma strains (CH2, SH16, PQ34, and TN42) were isolated from soil samples collected from Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces in Vietnam. The strains exhibited high chitinolytic secretion. Strain PQ34 formed the largest zone of chitinase-mediated clearance (> 4 cm in diameter) in agar containing 1% (w/v) colloidal chitin. Analysis of the internal transcribed spacer regions of these strains indicated that they were Trichoderma asperellum. The molecular weights of the chitinases were approximately 42 kDa. Chitinase genes (chi42) of T. asperellum strains TN42, CH2, SH16, and PQ34 were 98~99% homologous to the ech42 gene of T. harzianum CB-Pin-01 (accession No. DQ166036). The deduced amino acid sequences of both T. asperellum strains SH16 and TN42 shared 100% similarity.

Species belonging to the Vernonia (Asteraceae), the largest genus in the tribe Vernonieae (consisting of about 1,000 species), are widely used in food and medicine. These plants are rich sources of bioactive sesquiterpene lactones and steroid saponins, likely including many as yet undiscovered chemical components. A phytochemical investigation resulted in the separation of three new stigmastane-type steroidal saponins (1 – 3), designated as vernogratiosides A–C, from whole plants of V. gratiosa. Their structures were elucidated based on infrared spectroscopy (IR), one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (2D NMR), high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), and electronic circular dichroism analyses (ECD), as well as chemical reactivity. Molecular docking analysis of representative saponins with αglucosidase inhibitory activity was performed. Additionally, the intended substances were tested for their ability to inhibit α-glucosidase activity in a laboratory setting. The results suggested that stigmastane-type steroidal saponins from V. gratiosa are promising candidate antidiabetic agents.
Screening and Production of Manganese Peroxidase from Fusarium sp. on Residue Materials
( Nguyen Duc Huy ),( Nguyen Thi Thanh Tien ),( Le Thi Huyen ),( Hoang Tan Quang ),( Truong Quy Tung ),( Nguyen Ngoc Luong ),( Seung-moon Park ) 한국균학회 2017 Mycobiology Vol.45 No.1
In this study, we report the manganese peroxidase production ability from a Fusarium sp. strain using an inexpensive medium of agriculture residues of either rice straw or wood chips as carbon source. The highest manganese peroxidase activity on rice straw medium and on wood chips was 1.76 U/mL by day 9 and 1.91 U/mL by day 12, respectively.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of yeast extract (YE) and salicylic acid (SA) on the expression of curcuminoid-biosynthesis genes (CzDCS and CURS1-3), and accumulation of curcumin in Curcuma zedoaria cell cultures. The results showed that, in cells treated with YE or SA, the expression levels of curcuminoid genes were 1.14- to 3.64-fold higher than the control (untreated cells), in which the YE exhibited a stronger effect in comparison with SA. Curcumin accumulation also tended to be similar to gene expression, curcumin contents in YE- or SA-treated cells were 1.61- to 2.53-fold higher than the control. The SA treatment at the fifth day of culture stimulated the curcumin accumulation and expression in all four genes compared to that at the beginning. While the YE treatments gave different results, the CzCURS1 and CzCURS3 genes were expressed strongly in cells that were treated at the beginning. However, the CzDCS and CzCURS2 genes showed the opposite expression pattern, they were activated strongly in the treatments at day five of the culture. However, the content of curcumin reached its maximum value on the fifth day of culture in all investigations.
Argyreia gyrobracteata Traiperm & Chitchak (Convolvulaceae): A new record to the flora of Vietnam
Binh Duc TRAN,Bach The TRAN,Do Van Hai,Quang Hong BUI,Son Hoang DOAN,Han Ngoc LE,Thuy Thu NGUYEN,엄상미 한국식물분류학회 2020 식물 분류학회지 Vol.50 No.3
Argyreia gyrobracteata Traiperm & Chitchak (Convolvulaceae) is newly recorded in Vietnam. It is similar to A. mekongensis Gagnep & Courch in having a white campanulate corolla but differs from that species by having whitish surface of the abaxial leaf, narrowly lanceolate or linear-oblong, curly, rolled up the bract with a longer length of the petiole and a shorter pedicel. It was previously known only in Thailand, but was recently found in Lam Dong Province, Vietnam, for the first time. The present study provides a detailed description, colorful photos and the distribution of the species. Furthermore, a comparison of the diagnostic characters between this species and a related species in Vietnam, A. mekongensis Gagnep & Courch, is provided.
Experimental study on mechanical behaviors of injection molded PC/PMMA blends
Van Thanh Hoang,Quang Bang Tao,Bich-Tram Truong-Le,Minh Sang Tran,Duc Binh Luu 대한기계학회 2021 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.35 No.9
Mechanical property is one of the quite important factors of optical articles. Most of pure plastics materials are rarely found to have both high strength and toughness. The paper aims to investigate mechanical properties of polymethyl methacrylate and polycarbonate (PC/PMMA) blends by means of injection molding process and optimization technique. In this study, four factors including composition, packing pressure, melt temperature, and cooling time are taken into account. Experimental results show that the composition is found as the most significant factor for improving the mechanical properties of PC/PMMA blends with confidence level of 95 %. Meanwhile, melt temperature and cooling time are also the most significant parameters for enhancing impact strength with 95 % confidence level. In addition, the mechanical properties of the PC/PMMA plastics composites have been enhanced significantly. Specifically, average tensile yield strength, impact strength, and average elongation are 76.5 MPa, 7429.5 J/m 2 , and 17.5 mm, respectively.
