Guoli Zhao,Yanyan Li,Xiaolong Kang,Liang Huang,Peng Li,Jinghang Zhou,Yuangang Shi 아세아·태평양축산학회 2019 Animal Bioscience Vol.32 No.1

Objective: In this study, the transcriptome profile of cow experiencing miscarriage during peri-implantation was investigated. Methods: Total transcriptomes were checked by RNA sequencing, and the analyzed by bioinformatics methods, the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were analysed with hierarchical clustering and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis. Results: The results suggested that serum progesterone levels were significantly decreased in cows that miscarried as compared to the pregnant cows at 18, 21, 33, 39, and 51 days after artificial insemination. The RNA sequencing results suggested that 32, 176, 5, 10, and 2 DEGs were identified in the pregnant cows and miscarried cows at 18, 21, 33, 39, and 51 d after artificial insemination. And 15, 101, 1, 2, and 2 DEGs were upregulated, and 17, 74, 4, and 8 DEGs were downregulated in the cows in the pregnant and miscarriage groups, respectively at 18, 21, 33, and 39, but no gene was downregulated at 51 d after artificial insemination. These DEGs were distributed to 13, 20, 3, 6, and 20 pathways, and some pathway essential for pregnancy, such as cell adhesion molecules, tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway and PI3K-Akt signaling pathway. Conclusion: This analysis has identified several genes and related pathways crucial for pregnancy and miscarriage in cows, as well as these genes supply molecular markers to predict the miscarriage in cows.

        Li Jiang,Junaid Ali Syed,Guoli Zhang,Yujie Ma,Jun Ma,Hongbin Lu,Xiangkang Meng 한국공업화학회 2019 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.80 No.-

The enhanced corrosion resistance with sustained conductivity are the prerequisites of stainless steelbipolar plates for practical application in proton exchange membrane fuel cell. Herein, we prepare aconductive polypyrrole-graphene oxide/polypyrrole-camphorsulfonic acid bilayer composite coating(PPY-GO/PPY-CSA) on 304 stainless steel bipolar plate by electrodeposition method. The electrochemicaltests are conducted in the simulated bipolar plates working environment, the potentiostatic polarizationresults imply that the PPY-GO/PPY-CSA composite coating offers stable corrosion resistance with lowpotentiostatic corrosion current density in comparison with the PPY-GO coating. The correspondingelectrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements reveal that the PPY-GO/PPY-CSA compositecoating exhibits satisfactory conductivity and displays sustained anodic protection effect with superioranticorrosion performance during the 696 h of immersion. The excellent corrosion protection ability ofthe PPY-GO/PPY-CSA composite coating owing to its good adhesion strength, compact structure, satisfactory conductivity as well as the synergetic interaction between the two layers of the coating.

Antidepressant-like effect of ginsenoside Rb1 on potentiating synaptic plasticity via the miR-134emediated BDNF signaling pathway in a mouse model of chronic stress-induced depression

        Guoli Wang,Tianyue An,Cong Lei,Xiaofeng Zhu,Li Yang,Lianxue Zhang,Ronghua Zhang 고려인삼학회 2022 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.46 No.3

Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)etropomyosin-related kinase B (TrkB) plays acritical role in the pathogenesis of depression by modulating synaptic structural remodeling and functional transmission. Previously, we have demonstrated that the ginsenoside Rb1 (Rb1) presents a novelantidepressant-like effect via BDNFeTrkB signaling in the hippocampus of chronic unpredictable mildstress (CUMS)-exposed mice. However, the underlying mechanism through which Rb1 counteractsstress-induced aberrant hippocampal synaptic plasticity via BDNFeTrkB signaling remains elusive. Methods: We focused on hippocampal microRNAs (miRNAs) that could directly bind to BDNF and areregulated by Rb1 to explore the possible synaptic plasticity-dependent mechanism of Rb1, which affordsprotection against CUMS-induced depression-like effects. Results: Herein, we observed that brain-specific miRNA-134 (miR-134) could directly bind to BDNF 30UTRand was markedly downregulated by Rb1 in the hippocampus of CUMS-exposed mice. Furthermore, thehippocampusetargeted miR-134 overexpression substantially blocked the antidepressant-like effects ofRb1 during behavioral tests, attenuating the effects on neuronal nuclei-immunoreactive neurons, thedensity of dendritic spines, synaptic ultrastructure, long-term potentiation, and expression of synapseassociated proteins and BDNFeTrkB signaling proteins in the hippocampus of CUMS-exposed mice. Conclusion: These data provide strong evidence that Rb1 rescued CUMS-induced depression-like effectsby modulating hippocampal synaptic plasticity via the miR-134-mediated BDNF signaling pathway.

The rheological behavior of collagen dispersion/poly(vinyl alcohol) blends

Lai, Guoli,Du, Zongliang,Li, Guoying The Korean Society of Rheology 2007 Korea-Australia rheology journal Vol.19 No.2

Blends of collagen dispersion (COL) with poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) in different weight ratios were investigated by oscillatory rheometry, Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. It was found that even with 80% of PVA, the COL/PVA blends behaved more like collagen dispersion than pure PVA solution in the dynamic thermal and frequency processing, for instance, a dominant elastic appearance (G'>G"), a similar shear thinning behavior and the thermal denaturation below $40^{\circ}C$. However, influence on the blend behaviour by PVA was noticeable, for instance, an increase of dynamic denaturation temperature, the decreasing intensity of amide I, II and III bands as well as the diminishing irregular pores on the surface of blends. The interaction between collagen and PVA could be observed, especially at the regions with low content or high content of PVA.

      • The Influence of Side‐Chain Position on the Optoelectronic Properties of a Red‐Emitting Conjugated Polymer

        Lu, Li Ping,Finlayson, Chris E.,Kabra, Dinesh,Albert‐,Seifried, Sebastian,Song, Myoung Hoon,Havenith, Remco W. A.,Tu, Guoli,Huck, Wilhelm T. S.,Friend, Richard H. WILEY‐VCH Verlag 2013 Macromolecular chemistry and physics Vol.214 No.9

Abstract

A study of the organic semiconductor F8TBT is presented, directly comparing a conventional form (F8TBT‐out) with a form with varied alkyl side‐chain position (F8TBT‐in), in terms of optical properties and device performance in light‐emitting‐diodes (LEDs). Computational simulations of the side‐chain position with respect to the TBT unit reveal geometrical differences between F8TBT‐out and F8TBT‐in. π–π conjugation on the backbone of F8TBT‐in is interrupted by a distortion of the benzothiadiazole ring, leading to a blue‐shift of the absorption spectrum and increased photoluminescence quantum efficiency. Both conventional and hybrid LEDs demonstrate that devices with F8TBT‐in show improved performance, as compared to F8TBT‐out, illustrating how tuning the optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers by varying the placement of side chains has an important role in device optimization.

Effects of exposure to trace pyriproxyfen on the intestinal bacterial diversity and immune signal pathways of silkworm (Bombyx mori) larvae

        Lu Qingyu,Li Guoli,Lan Huangli,Yu Dongliang,Yin Xingcan,Yang Wenqi,Yang Zehao,He Chunhui,Mo Danmei,Xu Kaizun 한국응용곤충학회 2022 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.25 No.2

Silkworm (Bombyx mori) is a widely used lepidopteran model insect. Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator (IGR) that can be used to control pests such as lepidoptera and diptera, and there is no research about its in fluence on the intestinal bacterial diversity and immune signal pathway of non-target lepidopteran insect larvae. In this study, we treated fifth-instar silkworms with trace pyriproxyfen (10 − 4 mg/L). The results showed that the abundance and diversity of silkworm larvae intestinal flora at the level of phylum, class, order, family and genus were all changed. The function prediction result showed that the functional changes mainly focused on tran scription, amino acid transport and metabolism, carbohydrate transport and metabolism, signal transduction mechanisms, energy production and conversion et al. after exposure to trace pyriproxyfen. Furthermore, qRTPCR results showed that trace pyriproxyfen exposure activated the transcriptions of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) genes regulated by Toll and IMD pathways. This research can lay the foundation for the study on the resistance of lepidopteran insects to pyriproxyfen and other juvenile hormone pesticides.

Torque Modelling and Validation for a Spherical Motor with Stepped Permanent Magnets

        Jingxiong He,Guoli Li,Rui Zhou,Qunjing Wang,Yuanzhong Qiao 대한전기학회 2020 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.15 No.6

A spherical motor is an electromagnetic device with multi-degree-of-freedom motion. Three-dimensional (3-D) magnetic fi eld analysis and torque analysis are needed for the design, optimization and control of the motor. Presently, these analyses are carried out by the fi nite-element method (FEM) with a large amount of calculation and time consumption. An analytical method (AM) can reduced the computational burden of the FEM without sacrifi ce of the accuracy. A stepped permanent magnet (PM) can obtain a large range of the magnetic fi eld while eff ectively saving PM materials. However, its special structure causes diffi culties in analytical modelling. This paper presents an AM for the 3-D magnetic fi eld and torque of a permanent magnet spherical motor with stepped PMs. The analytical model of the 3-D magnetic fi eld of the stepped PM is derived based on the loop current method, and the electromagnetic force of the stator coil is calculated based on the Lorentz force method. Thus the 3-D magnetic fi eld and torque can be calculated effi ciently with reasonable accuracy. The analytical model is verifi ed by the FEM and experimental tests. The test results confi rm the high accuracy of the developed model.

Robust Adaptive Sliding‑Mode Control for Permanent Magnet Spherical Actuator with Uncertainty Using Dynamic Surface Approach

        Yan Wen,Guoli Li,Qunjing Wang,Xiwen Guo 대한전기학회 2019 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.14 No.6

This paper presents a position tracking control method for a three degree-of-freedom permanent magnet spherical actuator (PMSA). The control method is designed based on a dynamic model of the PMSA with uncertainties including modelling errors and external disturbance. Sliding-mode surface are adopted to restrain and eliminate the efect of external disturbances. To compensate modelling errors, an adaptive law is employed to estimate unknown model parameters so that model information can be updated in real time. By the use of dynamic surface approach, three frst-order flters are introduced to avoid the explosion of derivative terms caused by traditional adaptive backstepping approach. The stability of the closed-loop system using the proposed controller is confrmed through Lyapunov theorem. The test bench consisted of the prototype of PMSA, the host computer, the current controller and the orientation detection device is established for experiments. Simulation and experimental results are provided to validate efectiveness of the proposed method.
