Byoung-Kyun Shim(심병균),Woo-Song Lee(이우송),In-Man Park(박인만),Won-Jun hwang(황원준),Won-Il Kim(김원일) 한국산업융합학회 2014 한국산업융합학회 논문집 Vol.17 No.1
The focus of this paper is the designing a flexible three fingered hand system with 16 D.O.F for dynamic manipulation with an intelligent controller, and to build a useful database for dynamic manipulation based on the experimental results. The weight of the hand module is only 0.7 kg, but flexible motion and powerful grasping are possible. To achieve such a dynamic motion in a robotic hand, we have developed a flexible fingered hand with a control system incorporating image recognition system in which we deal with the problems of not only accuracy and range of motion but also the flexibility of hand. The fingers are arranged so as to grasp both circular and prismatic objects. In order to achieve the light mechanism, we reduced the number of joints and fingers as much as possible. We used three fingers, which is the minimum number to achieve a stable grasp.

Won Kyung Jeon,Bo Kyung Yoo,Yeong Eun Kim,Sun Ok Park,Eun-Joo Hahn,Kee-Yoeup Paek,Byoung Seob Ko 한국식품과학회 2008 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.17 No.6
Present study investigated the effects of the 70% ethanol extracts of tissue-cultured mountain ginseng (TCMG), Korean red ginseng (KRG), and Panax ginseng (PG) on agonist-induced platelet aggregation and activation in human whole blood. The IC?? values for TCMG, KRG, and PG were 1.159, 3.695, and 4.978 ㎎/㎖ for collagen-induced aggregation, 0.820, 2.030, and 4.743 ㎎/㎖ for arachidonic acid-induced aggregation, and 1.070, 2.617, and 2.954 ㎎/㎖ for ADPinduced aggregation, respectively. Also, this study assessed the effects of the most active extract, TCMG, on markers of platelet activation by determining receptor expression on platelet membranes in healthy subjects, including expression of GPIIb/IIIa-like (PAC-1) and P-selectin (CD62), by flow cytometry. A significant decrease in PAC-1 expression (p=0.018) was observed in the presence of TCMG. These results show that TCMG has potent anti-platelet activity.

Byoung-Kyun Shim(심병균),Woo-Song Lee(이우송),In-Man Park(박인만),Won-Jun hwang(황원준),Young-Sik Choi(최영식) 한국산업융합학회 2014 한국산업융합학회 논문집 Vol.17 No.1
This paper proposes a new approach to the designed of visual feedback control system based on visual servoing method. The main focus of this paper is presented how it is effective to use many features for improving the accuracy of the visual feedback control of industrial articulated robot for assembling and inspection of parts. Some rank conditions, which relate the image Jacobian, and the control performance are derived. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features. The effectiveness of redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a SCARA type robot(FARA) made in samsung electronics company.
Effects of Dietary Turmeric Powder on Laying Performance and Egg Qualities in Laying Hens
Park, Sang-Sul,Kim, Jin-Man,Kim, Eun-Jib,Kim, Hee-Sung,An, Byoung-Ki,Kang, Chang-Won The Korean Society of Poultry Science 2012 韓國家禽學會誌 Vol.39 No.1
This experiment was conducted to investigate the dietary effects of turmeric powder (TP) on laying performances, egg qualities and its transfer into eggs. A total of two hundred, 60-wk-old, Lohmann Brown layers were divided into 4 groups, placed in to 5 replicates per group (10 layers each) and fed each one of four diets containing 0% TP (control), 0.10, 0.25 or 0.50% TP, respectively, for 7 wks. Egg production in the all groups fed diets containing TP were significantly higher than that in control (P<0.05). No differences in feed intakes, egg and eggshell qualities were observed among the treatments, but Roche color fan number (yolk color) in group fed diet with 0.5% TP was significantly higher than in control (P<0.05). In the groups fed diets containing TP, Haugh units after 2 wk of storage were significantly higher than that of control (P<0.05). The curcumin content of egg yolk in the groups fed diet containing 0.50% TP was significantly higher than those in the other groups (P<0.05). The cholesterol levels of egg yolk were not influenced by dietary TP. It was concluded that dietary TP was effective in improving laying performance and internal egg qualities. TP can be also used as a feed additive for the production of value-enhanced eggs with increased yolk color and curcumin content.

Mangostenone F (MF) is a natural xanthone isolated from Garcinia mangostana. However, little is known about the biological activities of MF. This study was designed to investigate the anti-infl ammatory effect and underlying molecular mechanisms of MF in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages. MF dose-dependently inhibited the production of NO, iNOS, and pro-infl ammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β) in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages. Moreover, MF decreased the NF-κB luciferase activity and NF-κB DNA binding capacity in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages. Furthermore, MF suppressed the NF-κB activation by inhibiting the degradation of IκBα and nuclear translocation of p65 subunit of NF-κB. In addition, MF attenuated the AP-1 luciferase activity and phosphorylation of ERK, JNK, and p38 MAP kinases. Taken together, these results suggest that the anti-infl ammatory effect of MF is associated with the suppression of NO production and iNOS expression through the down-regulation of NF-κB activation and MAPK signaling pathway in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages.
