A comparative study on rumen bacterial and protozoal population and fungal zoospores in cattle (Brahman$\times$Native) and swamp buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) was conducted. Forty animals, twenty of each, with same sex and similar age which were raised under similar condition in the Northeast of Thailand, were used. Rumen digesta were sampled immediately post slaughtering for total microscopic counts of bacteria, protozoa and fungal zoospores. It was found that total bacterial population were higher in swamp buffalo that those in cattle (1.6 vs $1.36{\times}10^{8}cells/ml$) having more population of cocci, rods and ovals. Lower rumen protozoal pupulation in swamp buffalo with lower numbers of Holotrichs and Entodiniomorphs were found as compared to those in cattle. Significant higher fungal zoospore counts were in swamp buffalo than those in cattle being 7.30 and $3.78{\times}10^6$, respectively. Study under electron microscope, revealed Anaeromyces sp. with acuminate apex were more predominant in the rumen of swamp buffalo. With these findings, cattle and swamp buffaloes showing differences in rumen bacterial, protozoal population and fungal zoospore counts, offer new additional information as why swamp buffaloes exhibit conditionally better than cattle especially during long dry season without green grass.

Various nondestructive prospecting method were applied to detect the flaw of concrete structure, but the satisfactory result could not be obtained, yet. Fracture and cavities existing concrete structure will have a bad effect on physical and mechanical characteristic of concrete. This study deal with detection of flaws using seismic first arrival and various inversion method in theoretical model. And ultrasonic seismic method is tried to experimental model to detect fracture and cavity.

Seismic reflection method is applied to detect shallow location of limestone in Chechon area. The data using hammer source is compared with that of weight drop. Small size hammer and weight-drop are used as energy source and 100Hz geophones are used for data aquisition. Data processing is conducted utilizing the available processing technique of "Geobit", which is seismic data processing software developed by KIGAM. The result of above data processing, the velocity of topsoil layer is 1,250m/sec. The velocity of this area is higher than other area because loading trucks pass this area and make this layer compact. And in limestone area, hammer is proposed to energy source instead of weight drop because the energy propagates the layer very well.

In 1970's, the analysis of shallow substructure was the interests of geological engineering and environmental problems. And seismic refraction method was applied to detect those structures. From 1980's, digital electric industry is rapidly developed and high resolution prospecting equipment is supplied. And seismic reflection method is applied to achieve various data gathering and analysis. In this study, geophysical prospecting method is applied to calculate the basic data of limestone yield production. Seismic shallow reflection method is used to detect the depth of bedrock and electrical resistivity method is used to detect of limestone layer boundary.

When LC filter is connected parallel to the Active Power Filter, a problem of the resonance between the Active Power Filter(AF) and LC filter often arises. In this paper, deadbeat control of Hybrid Active Power Filter using Disturbance-observer is introduced to solve this problem. By the estimation of the harmonics disturbance using proposed disturbance observer, the compensation characteristics of the AF is improved and the resonant current is suppressed. The validity of proposed disturbance observer is verified from simulation results using PSIM.

The garden remains located in Yonggang-dong, Gyeogju-city is presumed to have been a part of a royal villa in the Unified Shilla and has a pond garden and waterscape-focused stucture. The pond garden seems to have had a pond island which must have been connected to the garden with a bridge. The small architectural sites were also found in the east and southeast part of the pond garden. In particular, it was partially confirmed that there was a stream in the southeast site. In the garden structure, the characteristics found in the plan of the pond garden were as follows: (1) The pond garden The shore edging of the pond garden keeps a certain distance from the shore of the pond island and has and organic relationship with it. It expands in slow curves and takes the overall shape of a square on the plane. The reinforcing stone wall lying along the shore is made of natural and split stones piled almost perpendicularly and thus has the cubic effects. The relatively simple structure of the shore edging contributes to the smooth and natural view of the pond garden. (2) The pond island The pond island is composed of the shore with serious winding and the varied shore with protruding parts on the plane level. Its reinforcing stone wall is built of natural and split stones, and its building techniques are also diverse. ①The embankment of a square shape intended for a bridge shows a cubic and practical composition that is just right for the straight-lined part of the shore. ②Rough split stones are spread in the entire shore, which is considered to have depicted the rough scenery of the gravel field adjacent to the water surface. ③The stone structure along the shore is not built of piles of lying stone pieces but of standing ones, which seems to be emphasized along with the protruding line of shore edging. ④It’s very unique for ornamental stones to be placed in the stone-filled ground. ⑤The shore has the topsoil composed of sand and gravels exposed, which is regarded as an attempt to bring the very natural waterscape out of the shore. ⑥There are rows of very high sense of formation to produce a natural waterscape with the stone arrangement under water. ⑦There are ornamental stones at the bottom of the pond garden, They are small pieces of stone arranged in groups over a certain area and thus contribute to the naturalness of the waterscape. ⑧The ornamental stones are standing in the stone-spread ground. This technique was adopted to emphasize the superior beauty of them.
Detection and Characterization of Extracellular Phospholipase A Activity in Human Amniotic Fluid

Extracellular phospholipase A₂ activity has been identified in human amniotic fluid. This enzyme required Ca^(2+) ion and exhibited bimodal pH optimum at pH 7.0 and 9.0. The phospholipase hydrolyzed 1-acyl-2-[1-^(14)C]arachidonoylphosphatidylethanolamine to form only [^(14)C]arachidonic acid indicating that the enzyme had phospholipase "A₂" activity. Ionic and non-ionic detergents caused loss of enzymatic activity. This phospholipase A₂ was recognized, in part, by a monoclonal antibody raised against phospholipase A₂ from human synovial fluid. This finding suggests that our enzyme is an another type of an extracellular phospholipase A₂ which may not belong to the 14 KDa group Ⅱ phospholipase A₂ family.
