Urinary B2-microglobulin Q4-MG) was measured and compared the correlation between that and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) or tubular reabsorption of phos- phate (TRP$gt; in 72 patients with various renal diseases who were admitted to Hanyang University Hospital from January 1984 to March 1986. As a control group, the urinary B2-MG and GFR and TRP in 24 patients hospitalized due to other diseases (exclude known renal diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases and malignancies) during the same period were also measured. The results were as follows: 1) The mean levels of urinary B2-MG were 225.4±41. 7 mg/24 hr in acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis, 192.7±36.6 pg/24 hr in nephrotic syndrome, and 241. 5±59.4 pg/24 hr in urinary tract infection which were markedly increased over that of control group (90.1±10. 1 pg/24 hr), (p=0.003, 0.003 and 0.012, respectively). 2) The GFR and TRP were not significant difference between renal diseases and control groups. 3) The urinary B2-MG levels enal diseases and control groups were not correlated with GFR or TRP.
정보통신산업 수출 및 해외진출전략 : 이동전화부문을 주심으로 Focusing on Mobile Telephony

This paper is aimed at providing policy direction to facilitate export and overseas market entrance, centered on Korea's mobile telephony sector. Despite the increased opportunities to make new inroads in the overseas mobile telephony markets after the enforcement of the WTO Agreement on Basic Telecommunications, Korea's progress in export and overseas market entry has been insignificant. It is observed that the main obstacles for expanding exports of system and equipment are the excessive royalty for using the CDMA source technology, the reduction of export price, and the lack of export financing support. In addition, the shortage of overseas business experiences and poor ability of mobilizing investment resources deter Korea's service providers from participating in the foreign mobile telephone services market. Paper shows that early development of source technology, and diversifying products and regions for export are necessary for export increase in system and equipment. More aggressive perception on overseas businesses is a prerequisite for promoting overseas market entrance. It proposes that service providers go with equipment manufacturers in making successful overseas market entrances. The government needs bolstering export and overseas market entrance through export financing scheme which can activate buyers' credit.
제동용 Safety Gear 소재의 마찰마모특성에 관한 연구

The full hardened steel and the carburized steel have been used for the safety gear break material by the domestic elevator manufacturers. The properties of major significance for its performance are the characteristics of wear and friction of constituent material. Thus, sliding wear test has been conducted using a pin-on disc tester to compare these two properties between the full hardened steel and the carburized steel. The results show that the characteristics of wear and friction of the full hardened steel is preferred to that of the carburized steel. This fact may be due to the acceleration of the oxidative wear in the full hardened steel.
직접소입형 60kgf/㎟급 건축용강의 기계적성질에 미치는 공정변수의 영향

To develop the 60kgf/㎟ tensile strength class steels for building application, the effects of processing parameters on the mechanical properties of directly quenched and tempered(DQT) steels were studied in 0.12C-1.45Mn-0.2Cu-0.2Ni-0.2Mo-0.04V steel. The various conditions for DQT process were applied, and the mechanical properties were evaluated for all the specimens. Mo was considered to be very effective in increasing the resistance to decrease of strength by tempering heat treatment heat treatment. With increasing finish rolling temperature(FRT), the amount of ferrite after direct quenching decreased, and when a FRT was 940℃ the microstructure was fully comprised of bainite. The reason why hardenability of steel increased with increasing FRT was conjectured that a large amount of solutes was dissolved in austenite and the austenite grain size was comparatively large. When the DQT process with 4℃/sec cooling and 600℃ tempering was applied to the steel, the specification of 60kgf/㎟ tensile strength class steels for building application was satisfied.

This is a statistical analysis based on the data of medicolegal autopsies so called unusual death, brought to this institute by all of law enforcement agencies in Korea during the year of 1997. This report aims to reveal the facts on various causes of unusual death in Korea. Followings are the summary of results, 1. The total numbers of autopsy made for the unusual deaths were 2,128 cases, among them 1,497 cases were males and 631 cases were females. 2. Violent deaths were 1,321 cases (62.1%), natural deaths were 705 cases (33.1%), and unknown cases were 102(4.85). 3. For deaths due to injuries, blunt object Injuries were the leading ahead, 472 cases(22.2%) and sharp object injuries were 198 cases(9.3%). 4. Asphyxial deaths were 287 cases(13.5%), and drowning were 108 cases(5.1%) showing the biggest number among the asphyxial deaths. 5. Deaths by fire or burning were 114 cases(5.4%), and deaths by scalding were 8 cases. Deaths due to hypothermia were 24 cases(1.1%). 6. Deaths due to electrocution were 19 cases and 18 cases were male. 7. There were 3 cases for death due to starvation. 8. Infanticide were 17 cases, 0.8 percent of the total number. 9. The natural deaths were 705 cases(33.1%) and the death due to the disease of the cardiovascular system was taking the most of the total number with 374 cases. 10. For the death due to intoxication, 132 cases (6.2%) were recorded and the biggest number among these was CO intoxication. 11. Cause of death unknown due to negative autopsy and to the severe decomposition of the body were 102 cases, 4.8 percents of the total number.

석류석과 사방휘석의 평형관계를 20-45kb, $975-1400^{\circ}C$, FMAS시스템에서 상호역반응 실험을 통해서 연구하였으며 반응 촉매제로써 사용한 PbO와 0.55 $PbF_2$의 혼합물은 매우 효과적이었다. Fe-Mg의 교환반응은 이 실험온도, 압력범위 내에서는 조성성분의 영향을 받지 않는다. 실험결과와 석류석의 혼합 모델을 사용한 석류석-사방휘석의 지질온도계는 다음과 같다. $$T^{\circ}C=(1971+11.91P(Kb)+1510(X_{Ca}+X_{Mn})^{Gt}/(lnK_D+0.96)-273$$. Equilibrium relations between garnet and orthopyroxene have been investigated by reversal experiments in the range of 20-45Kb and $975-1400^{\circ}C$ in the $FeO-MgO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$(FMAS) system. A mixture of PbO with about 55 mol per cent $PbF_2$ was used as a flux and proved very effective. The Fe-Mg exchange reaction seems to have little or no compositional dependence at these conditions. Combination of the experimental results with the garnet mixing model of Ganguly and Saxena(1984) yields the following geothermometric expression for the common natural assemblages that can be represented essentially within the system $FeO-MgO-CaO-MnO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$. $$T^{\circ}C=(1971+11.91P(Kb)+1510(X_{Ca}+X_{Mn})^{Gt}/(lnK_D+0.96)-273$$.
