The purpose of this study is the effects of aquarobics exercise on physical strength, BMI, and WHR of elderly women and to provide basic data of fitness program for elderly women. For statistical analysis, we used SPSS 20 to calculate the mean and standard deviation, and the two-way ANOVA was performed by repeated measures in order to verify the mean difference by group and time. For interaction effect analysis, we performed one-way ANOVA by time and group and correspondence t-test by time and group. The significance level was set at p<.05. The result obtain. First, Significant differences were found in upper extremity muscle function(p<.05), lower extremity muscle function(p<.05), and cardiopulmonary endurance(p<.01). second, There was a significant difference in body fat percentage(p<.01). third, There was a significant difference in waist to height ratio(p<.001). Through this study, aquarobics exercise will bring about positive changes in the physical strength, body fat precentage and WHR of the elderly.

The purpose of this study is to research the effect of pilates mat exercise on balance of the very elderly, to provide the basic data for the exercise prescription for the very elderly. For the subject of this study, we selected the elderly who had no experience in participating in a planned exercise program for a year, and can receive the pilates mat exercise group class among female seniors aged 75 years or older who were living in G city, we set 15 elderly among total 30 as exercise group, 15 elderly as control group. This program was conducted three times a week for 60 minutes for 12 weeks. The data was processed by using the SPSS 18.0 program. The mean and standard deviation were calculated and tabulated. The significance level was set to .05. There was a significant difference in balance between forward and rearward on dynamic balance, but there was no significant difference between left and right. There was also a significant difference in the static balance. 12-week pilates mat exercise applied in this study partially increased or decreased balance of the elderly, but it will have a positive effect through continuous exercise.

The purpose of this study was to find out about the effects of short-term Kettlebell exercise on the Foot pressure and Leg muscle of the elderly in order to prevent injuries such as physical activity of the elderly due to rapid aging society. The study was conducted 3 times a week for 6 weeks on local elderly women aged 65 or older. Kettlebell weights ranging from 4 to 8 kg were used for Kettlebell deadlifts as well as Kettlebell double arm swings, which are appropriate weights for female beginners. It is important to note that all participants were under minimal physical strain and if at any point the exercise had caused them too much pain, it was stopped immediately. The same number of sets (a total of five sets) was set for each exercise. The rest time between sets were applied to allow breathing to return. The test was performed to observe the static foot pressure distribution. The legs were spread over the Gaitveiw plate with shoulder width and stable posture, and the gaze was kept for 10 seconds while gazing at the front. Left, Right, Forefoot, and Rearfoot were measured as static low pressure test items. For the Leg muscle test of the participant, the lower core function test (measurement of standing on the chair) was performed. The results of the application of the Kettlebell movement are as follows. The Leg muscle test showed that exercise group showed more significant difference than control group(p<.001). Foot pressure test showed no significant difference(p>.05). These results suggest that short-term kettle-bell motion is an effective exercise for women of the elderly, and that for the Foot pressure it is necessary to verify more clearly the effects through additional re-measurements.

The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of active core exercise on spine deformation, and functional movement in lower-grade and higher-grade elementary school students. Out of 56 students in an elementary school located in K City, 46 were selected to be the subjects of this study. We measured their body types with a Body style and functional movement with Functional Movement Screen (FMS). As a method of exercise, trunk stabilization-centered strengthening exercise was conducted using Togus and Form rollers as the active core exercise for eight weeks. Therefore, as for body type analysis, both of subjects showed significant improvement in loft and right balance of body. as for analysis of FMS, shoulders showed significant improvement after the exercise and from the results of the active straight leg raise after active core exercise. Thus, active core stabilization can be realized to have influence on body balance and exercise ability.

In this study, we conducted a study to find out the effects of the Kettle Bell movement on the elderly"s walking functions in order to prevent injuries such as falls caused by a rapidly aging society. The study was conducted on women aged 65 and older living in D-wide area. The subject"s walk function testing was done using the OptoGait, Microgate S.r.l. Italy. The results of applying the Kettle Bell movement are as follows. The walk function test showed no statistically significant differences in all measures (p>.001), but a numerical difference was found in the exercise group. These results suggest that exercise with Kettlebell needs to be further validated through additional remeasurements for the walking functions of older women.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the positive effects of Pilates mat-exercise for 12 weeks on senior fitness test and reaction time of senior citizens in their 75 or up in G city, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the results are like below. First, out of items of senior fitness test, the upper extremity function, lower extremity function, balance, flexibility, and coordination showed significant differences(P<.05). Second, regarding the reaction time, the exercise group showed statistically significant differences before/after exercise(P<.05). Based on the positive effects of Pilates mat-exercise on fitness test of senior citizens in their 75 or up, this study is expected to provide basic data of exercise prescription for senior citizens, on top of preventing falling accidents.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of four-week gluteus medius strengthening exercise on the isokinetic lumbar muscular function in female college students who have a chronic low back pain. A total of thirty female college students who have a chronic back pain were randomly assigned to exercise (N=15) and control (N=15) groups. After isokinetic lumbar muscular function measurement, the participants were asked to do sixty-minute work out three times a week for four-week. By using SPSS 18.0 program, the average and the standard deviation obtained from each group were put into a chart, and two-way ANOVA by repeated measure was conducted to verify differences between two groups and the measuring points. In addition, to analyze the interaction effects, paired sample t test and independent sample t test were conducted in each group with significance level 0.5. For the function of lumbar muscle, flexor value and %BW of peak torques were no significant difference in both groups (p>.05), also both extensors Value and %BW were increased in an exercise group (each p<.001, p<.001), but not in a control group (each p>.05, p>.05).
