Purpose: This study was done to evaluate the relationship of stress, coping skill, suicide risk, and suicidal ideation according to treatment phases in patients hospitalized with schizophrenia. Methods: Participants, 111 patients hospi-talized with schizophrenia, were selected from three psychiatric hospitals in G province. Data were collected from March 5 to April 15, 2016 and analyzed using t-test, x<sup>2</sup> test, Fisher`s exact test, Pearson correlation coefficient, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe`s test analysis with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: Based on NOSIE-30, the treatment phases were divided into Beginning, Intermediate, and Completion stages. Patients in the Intermediate stage showed a higher stress level (F=5.13, p=.007) and active coping skills (F=6.70, p=.002) than patients in other stages. They also showed the highest suicide risk (F=7.42, p=.001), and the patients in the beginning stage had the highest suicidal ideation (F=20.20, p<.001. There were significant relationships between study variables at each stage. Conclusion: The findings from this study show differences in levels of stress, coping skill, suicide risk, and suicidal ideation according to treatment phases and indicate the need to develop suitable nursing intervention pro-grams according to patients` treatment phases.

The magneto-transport properties of an individual single crystalline Bi nanowire grown by a spontaneous growth method are reported. A four-terminal device based on an individual 400-nm-diameter nanowire was successfully fabricated using a plasma etching technique that removed an oxide layer that had formed on the surface of the nanowire. Large transverse ordinary magnetoresistance (1401%) and negative longitudinal ordinary magnetoresistance (-38%) were measured at 2 K. It was observed that the period of Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations in transverse geometry was $0.074^{T-1}$, $0.16^{T-1}$ and $0.77^{T-1}$, which is in good agreement with those of bulk Bi. However, it was found that the period of SdH oscillation in longitudinal geometry is $0.24^{T-1}$, which is larger than the value of $0.16^{T-1}$ reported for bulk Bi. The deviation is attributable to the spatial confinement arising from scattering at the nanowire surface boundary.

This paper presents a study of the microstructure and mechanical properties of commercial high-hardness armor (HHA) steels tempered at different temperatures. Although the as-received specimens of all the steels exhibit a tempered martensite structure with lath type morphology, the A steel, which has the smallest carbon content, had the lowest hardness due to reduced solid solution hardening and larger lath thickness, irrespective of tempering conditions. As the tempering temperature increases, the hardness of the steels steadily decreases because dislocation density decreases and the lath thickness of martensite increases due to recovery and over-aging effects. When the variations in hardness plotted as a function of tempering temperature are compared with the hardness of the as-received specimens, it seems that the B steel, which has the highest yield and tensile strengths, is fabricated by quenching, while the other steels are fabricated by quenching and tempering. On the other hand, the impact properties of the steels are affected by specimen orientation and test temperature as well as microstructure. Based on these results, the effect of tempering on the microstructure and mechanical properties of commercial high-hardness armor steels is discussed.

For an enhanced thermoelectric performance, one-dimensional heterostructure nanowires were created that consisted of aBi core and Te shell. The structure was fabricated by depositing Te in-situ onto a Bi nanowire grown by our unique OFF-ON (on-film formation of nanowires) method. After examining a cross-sectional TEM image, it was found that diffusive interface was formed between Bi and Te. Selected area electron diffraction revealed that the crystallinity of the Te shell was some what lower compared to the highly single-crystalline Bi core. The Bi-Te core/shell nanowires can be a smart structure that suppresses phonon transport by several scattering mechanisms, making the OFF-ON method the simplest way to realize that structure.
