Vol.36 No.1

This study is to analyze the impact of virtualization technologies, which is core technology of cloud computing, on outsourcing performance. Several frontier cases utilizing the technology are summarized in terms of quantitative and qualitative performance changes. In general, the overall experiences from the cases are positive for adopting the new technology, even though still not definitive. Virtualization technology is expected to be a critical element to guide direction for IT outsourcing services

Vol.1999 No.-

The study has been performed to estimate the Quantity of ground water recharge using the DAWAST model for water balance analysis in the Youngsan & Sumjin watersheds. The mean safe yield of ground water is annually 41.3mm, corresponding to 85 X 106 m3 at the Naju station in the Youngsan watershed, and 76.6mm corresponding to 343 x 106 m3 at the Songjung station in the Sumjin watershed. It is remarkable because safe yield of ground water are estimated 44 to 64% less than the quantities estimated in the other researches.

This study suggests the reason and solutions of misjudgment byg iving cases on Summer Games in 2012 . This Summer Games is often called Misjudgment Olympics due to quite a number of misjudgments and SouthKorea got attention by them which everybody tries to avoid. Ikt ept some athletes out of the final race andloses chances of getting a Gold medal and passive response couldn`t reverse the misjudgment. So we realizedIt is necessary to have a manual of the ways of handle it next time it takes place again as well as training to improveskill for the Olympics. Another way to reduce misjudgments is apply to every game not the few gamesand increase the number of referees. The goal of this study ihsa ving wills and coming up with the best way sto solve the problems so that misjudgments are never occurred again.

Vol.18 No.1

The residents in each of the local administrative unit made their own judgments and decisions on every public issue in the name of the local residents, while continuing to take a various collective actions in order to make accomplishments of their opinions by appeals petitions, establishments of and actions through organizations, multiple and aggressive meeting in public etc in their own regions. The purposes of these collective actions were firstly to break through the interruptions and controls from the colonial regime so that they might be able to deal with a variety of public issues which happened in each of local regions on their own, and to protect their own judgments and opinions or to stick to their own alternative plans from the colonial regime which tried to accomplish its agendas by overwhelming resources and forceful measures. There were always intensity and antagonism between the local residents and the colonial regime on the common public interests even when the collective actions of the local residents and the attitude of the colonial regime looked like moderate because each party intended to get the best out of the common public interests from each of their positions and concerns. The existing studies on the collective actions of the local residents in the colonial Korea overgeneralized each case, but failed to acquire the overall views on this issue. Moreover, as shown in the debate on the `colonial modernity`, they stayed within abstract and theoretical stage being unable to acquire substantiation. In order to overcome this limitation, this study attempts to suggest a theoretic-analytical framework about the collective actions of the local societies, based on the brief summary in the national level, which can be accepted as a socio-historical phenomenon in the colonial period. The collective actions of the local residents in the colonial period can be analyzed in three levels within a framework of `political publicity` which commonly appeared in 1950~60s: publicity related to governmental public interest; publicity related to `common good for society` or `social ethics`; publicity as process itself (debate and careful consideration, confrontation and negotiation, direct participation of residents or development of representative organization etc). These three levels, corresponding to the dynamics between the colonial regime, the local elites, and the local residents(the masses), revealed themselves in the process of systematization through the collective actions of the local residents. The aforementioned three levels of perspectives were linked intricately and intensely to the collective actions of the local residents in the colonial period, above all the other periods. Through this experience, the residents in all the regions of colonial Korea were consisting of the substantial experiences about `democracy`, `citizenship`, `politics` and `modern` social norms`. This theoretical design will prepare the way for a fundamental reconsideration on the theory of `colonial publicity` or `colonial modernity` both of which were stagnant by realistic compromise despite an escaping notion of the confrontation, not to mention of nationalistic or class struggle perspectives which have been traditional frameworks of understanding of Korean modern history as well as of `colonial modernization` theory which stands contrary to the former two.
