The deposition behavior and structural and magnetic properties of electroless Co-B and Co-Fe-B deposits, as well as the amorphous ribbon substrates, were investigated. These Co-based alloy deposits exhibited characteristic polycrystalline structures and surface morphology and magnetic properties that were dependent on the type of amorphous substrates. The catalytic activity sequence of the amorphous ribbon electrodes for anodic oxidation of DMAB was estimated from the current density-potential curve in the anodic partial electrolytic bath that did not contain the metal ions. Both the deposition rate and potential in the initial region were obtained in order of the catalytic activity, depending on the alloy compositions of the substrates. The deposition rate linearly varied against the deposition time. The initial deposition potential may have also determined the structural and magnetic properties of the deposit based on the thickness of ${\mu}m$ order. Furthermore, a basic study of the electroless deposition processes on an amorphous ribbon substrate has been carried out in connection with the structural and magnetic properties of the deposits.

Effects of annealing on the dielectric properties and microstructures of thin tantalum oxide film(25nm) deposited on p-type Si substrate with rf reactive magnetron sputtering were investigated. The leakage current density was remarkably reduced from $10^-8$ to $10^-12$ A/$\mum^2$at the electric field of 2MV/cm after rapid thermal annealing(RTA) in $O_2$at $1000^{\circ}C$, while little leakage reduction was observed after furnace annealing in $O_2$ at $500^{\circ}C$. The structural changes of thin tantalum oxide film after annealing were examined using high resolution electron microscope(HREM). The results of HREM show that substantial reduction in the leakage current density after the RTA in $O_2$ can be attributed to crystallization and reoxidation of the thin amorphous tantalum oxide film.

An autonomous driving system based on a precise digital map is developed. The system is implemented to the Hyundai's Tucsan fuel cell car, which has a camera, smart cruise control (SCC) and Blind spot detection (BSD) radars, 4-Layer LiDARs, and a standard GPS module. The precise digital map has various information such as lanes, speed bumps, crosswalks and land marks, etc. They can be distinguished as lane-level. The system fuses sensed data around the vehicle for localization and estimates the vehicle's location in the precise map. Objects around the vehicle are detected by the sensor fusion system. Collision threat assessment is performed by detecting dangerous vehicles on the precise map. When an obstacle is on the driving path, the system estimates time to collision and slow down the speed. The vehicle has driven autonomously in the Hyundai-Kia Namyang Research Center.

A computer program has been developed to analyze easily the Kikuchi pattern which is useful in obtaining the crystallographic data of materials. This program can simulate the Kikuchi patterns for 14 Bravais lattice by using the matrix algebra. Convenient menu system was also added to enhance the applications of the program. That is, by varying the tilting angle, camera length (RADIUS) and $S_{max}$ in the menu, various Kikuchi patterns can be obtained. The simulated patterns, then, can be compared with the experimentally-obtained Kikuchi pattern to examine validity of simulation.
