Thermochemical 2-step methane reforming, involving the reduction of metal oxide with methane to produce syn-gas and the oxidation of the reduced metal oxide with water to produce pure hydrogen, was investigated on ferrite-based metal oxide mediums and WO_{3}/ZrO_{2}. Thermochemical 2-step methane reforming were accomplished at 900 ?C(syn-gas production step) and 800 ?C(water-splitting step). In syn-gas production step, it appeared carbon deposition on metal oxides with increasing react ion time. Various mediums showed the different starting point of carbon deposition each other. To minimize the carbon deposition, the reaction time was controlled before the starting point of carbon deposition. As a result, CO_{x} were not evolved in water-splitting step, Among the various metal oxides, Mn-ferrite/ZrO_{2} showed high reactivity, proper H_{2}/CO ratio, high selectivity of undesired CO_{2} and high evolution of H_{2}.

The objective of this work was to study the properties of purification of two liquid phase for exclusion of impurities in each phase. The experiments for process variables were carried out in the temperature range(H_{2}SO_{4} phase: 413{sim}513 K, HI_{x} phase: 353{sim}453 K) and in the N_{2} flow rate range(H_{2}SO_{4}, HI_{x} phase: 50{sim}200 mL/min). As the results, it is appeared that the principles of H_{2}SO_{4} phase purification was due to stripping, evaporation and reverse bunsen reaction and HI_{x} phase purification was due to stripping and reverse bunsen reaction. In purification of H_{2}SO_{4} phase, the concentration rate of H_{2}SO_{4} phase was controled by temperature but the temperature had few effects on yield of H_{2}SO_{4}. In purification of HI_{x} phase, we observed products of side reactions(H_{2}S, S) over 433 K. The purity of HI_{x} phase was increased with increasing N_{2} flow rate because impurites were decreased with increasing conversion of reverse reaction.
다구찌 실험계획법을 이용한 지역난방 절수형 배관 시스템에 관한 연구

In order to develop an efficient and accurate design of the mixing chamber, the well known Tagucchi method was applied into the water-saving district heating pipe system. Design parameters were the length of the mixing chamber, the diameter of the vertical pipe in the chamber, the inlet temperature of the hot water into the mixing chamber, and the location of the hot water inlet of the mixing chamber. Accomplishing the Tagucchi method, L18 orthogonal array table was used for the four different design parameters. Based on the experimental results with the value of the maximum SN ratio for the minimum ready time of the district heating pipe system together with the circulation of the saved residual water from the house, the optimum design values were successfully found and the trends of the each design parameter were also graphically obtained. With the effective design method of this study in hands, other different types of designing tasks of the efficient water-saving district heating pipe system can be easily achieved without any difficulties.

Objective: To evaluate the abnormality of protein S in patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion due to antiphospholipid syndrome. Material and Method: Antigen and activity of protein S were analyzed by enzyme immunoassay and clotting method, respectively. Results: Of 18 patients with antiphospholipid syndrome, 4 patients were found to have no abnormality of protein S. There were 14 cases of protein S abnormality. Among them, there were 8 cases of type 1, 1 case of type 2, and 5 cases of type 3 protein S deficiency. Conclusion: So in the workup of patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion due to antiphospholipid syndrome, the evaluation for protein S is required.

We investigated hydrogen storage and production properties using redox system of iron oxide(Fe_{3}O_{4} + 4H_{2} {leftrightarrows} 3Fe + 4H_{2}O) modified with rhodium, ceria and zirconia under atmospheric pressure. Reduction of iron oxide with hydrogen(hydrogen storage) and re-oxidation of reduced iron oxide with steam(hydrogen evolution) was carried out using a temperature programmed reaction(TPR) technique. On the temperature programmed studies, the effects of amounts of cerium and zirconium on the re-oxidation rate of partial reduced iron oxides were increased with increasing metal additives amount, but the rhodium amount showed little effect on the re-oxidation rate. On the thermal studies, the re-oxidation rates were enhanced with increasing temperature(300 ?C < 350 ?C).

This studies examined the combined effects of normobaric hypoxic breathing and heat exposure during leg cycling at 6° Head Down Tilt (HDT) on thermoregulatory, body fluid, and metabolic responses. Ten healthy men (23±2 yrs, 69±6 ㎏, 174±5 ㎝) participated in three experimental sessions; 1) breathing normal air in ambient temperature (23.7±0.5℃) (N21), 2) breathing normal air in heat (38.8±0.5℃) (H21), and 3) breathing 13% oxygen in heat (H13). In each session, subjects rested for 30 min followed by leg cycling at 50~60% of VO2max for 30 min, then recovered 30 min while maintaining HDT throughout. Blood oxygen saturation was lower in H13 (77%) than N21 (98%) and H21 (97%). Subjects lost 0.1±0.2, 0.8±0.3, and 0.6±0.2 ㎏ in N21, H21, and H13, respectively (P<0.05). During exercise in all sessions, blood pressure was elevated for about 10 ㎜Hg than resting state, but not statistically significant. Minute ventilation was not changed within trials and between conditions (P>0.05). During H21 and H13, rectal, skin, and body temperature as well as heart rate were significantly higher than N21 (P<0.05). No differences were found between conditions in hemoglobin, plasma protein, plasma osmolality, and aldosterone, and blood electrolytes including, sodium, potassium, and chloride. However, blood lactate was significantly higher at 30 min of exercise in H13 than other two conditions (P<0.05) while no other marginal differences were noticed in metabolic parameters such as glucose, creatine phosphokinase and lactate dehydrogenase. Based on the results, heat exposure resulted in marginal body temperature changes and body fluid loss, while did not induce any changes of metabolic responses. Hypoxic effect was evidence in H13 conditions showing anaerobic metabolism during exercise in heat while maintaining HDT.
성별차이에 따른 스피드 스케이트 최대하 운동시 심박수 반응 비교

이 연구는 남녀 엘리트 스피드 스케이트 선수를 대상으로 안정시 심박수, 그리고 최대강도의 70%의 훈련 중 심박수와 회복기 심박수를 비교하는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서 남자 7명, 그리고 여자 6명의 엘리트 스피드 스케이트 선수가 참여하였으며, 안정시 심박수는 1회를 측정하였으며, 훈련 중 총 10 구간, 그리고 회복기 총 6 구간의 심박수를 10초 단위로 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 획득하였다. 안정시 심박수는 성별에 따라 유의한 차이가 없었다. 또한 각 시기별 훈련 중 심박수와 심박수증가율도 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 회복시 심박수와 심박수 감소율도 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이와 같은 결과는 남녀 엘리트 스피드 스케이트선수에서의 안정시, 운동시 그리고 회복시 심박수 반응이 유사하다는 것을 의미한다. The aim of the present study was to compared heart rate at resting, during exercise and recovery in male and female elite speed skaters. Seven male and six female athletes were participated in this study. Resting heart rate was measured by 1 time. Heart rate during exercise and heart rate recovery was divided into 10 seconds and was measured 10 times and 6 times, respectively. Results of this study were as follows. In resting heart rate was no significant difference in male and female speed skaters. Both the heart rate and the increasing rate during exercise at each periods were also no significant differences in male and female speed skaters. There was no significant differences in both heart rate recovery and recovery rate from exercise between male and female speed skaters. These results indicate that heart rate responses were similar between male and females elite speed skaters at rest, during exercise and recovery from exercise.
