초등학교 저학년 사회과를 위한 '읽기' 교수-학습모형의 개발에 관한 연구

The constructivism already had enormous influence on education in Korea. But, when we think on constructivistic viewpoint, practical study about reading skill which is very important in social studies education is still in an early stage. Moreover, some researches point out that elementary school students'(1st-3rd grade) defects in reading will cause the long-term negative effects. Thus, this paper will suggest some guidelines for developing teaching-learning model proper to students' in elementary school, and present one example of that. 구성주의적 교육관은 이미 우리 교육계 전반에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 그러나, 구성주의적 관점에서 생각했을 때, 사회과교육에서 매우 중요한 읽기기능에 관한 실천적 연구는 아직 초보적인 수준이다. 더욱이 초등학교 저학년에서의 읽기기능의 부실은 장기적인 영향을 줄 수 있다는 점이 지적되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 아동들의 인지발달단계에 적합한 사회과 ‘읽기’ 교수-학습모형을 개발하기 위한 원칙들을 제안하고, 실제 교수-학습 모형의 사례를 제시하였다.
사회과 기능영역 학습방법 개선에 관한 연구: 전략적 읽기를 중심으로

What social studies education can give students who live in the era of information? There are many answers for this question and the most persuasive one is to raise higher-order thinking. It is constructed by subordinate factors such as inquiry, decision making, creative thinking, critical thinking and meta-cognition. Since a lot of information can be delivered by letter in the classroom and the process of understanding is completely accomplished by the language, the core of understanding can be said reading. Reading can be examined from two typical points of view; one is functionalism and the other is newly emerging constructivism. From the view of functionalism, reading is simple skill, since it can be achieved by repeated drills. On the other hand, viewed in constructivism, reading is process of reconstruction of meaning by readers and how to construct meaning gets at the heart of training the reading ability. That is to say, it can be claimed that teaming learning strategy can elevate the reading ability more effectively than any other method. In this paper, it will be inspected theoretically that from the point of constructivism, reading is more efficient than other conventional teaching method and then strategic reading teaching method will be suggested.
사회과 교원연수 개선방안에 관한 연구: 원격연수를 중심으로

Coming over the era of information, introduction of `distance education for teachers` has been in actuality rather than assignment in the educational world. For all that, workshops of various kinds for teachers of social studies education have been pointed out mistakes over again, and a reform measure has been made very slow progress. Accordingly, researches of established scheme for better in-service teacher education are put together in this study and more realistic reform measure based on an investigation of teachers` view who had joined in-service teacher education program was inquired closely. As a result, it has been confirmed that lectures of those of teaching field, workshops for skill(rather than knowledge), criterion referenced evaluation should be considered preferentially and a concrete plan for improvement is suggested.
