Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) package, test its application and evaluate students' recognition of the effectiveness of PBL in nursing colleges. Method: Thirteen steps were used in the process developing the PBL package. After its application, the first questionnaire for self-evaluation and satisfaction with PBL class was given to 94 nursing students in December, 2005. To further evaluate the students' recognition of the effectiveness of PBL, a second questionnaire was given to 83 nursing students out of the 96 in May, 2007 after clinical practice. Data analysis was conducted using means with standard deviation. Results: The results of students' self-evaluation showed high achievement in learning outcome and process using the PBL method. Also, they expressed satisfaction with the subject management, the lecturer and their peers after the PBL class. Students recognized that the PBL class had positive effectiveness in clinical practice and wanted more PBL classes and the inclusion of complex cases from well designed packages. Conclusion: PBL class could be considered as an opportunity to fortify student nurses' abilities to adjust to the real clinical situation.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to find out the factors which were related to the stress among 2nd years high school students in Geoje, Korea. Methods: The subjects were 660 high school students. Data were collected by selfreported questionnaires from March to April, 2007. Data were analyzed by an SPSS WIN 12.0 program with mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The mean score of total stress was 1.93±0.51 and self concept was 2.54±0.32 of full score 4.00. There has been found a significant negative correlation between stress and self concept. There were significant differences of stress scores in the variables of academical class, recognized health condition, experience of smoking, family form, harmony of family, father's job, level of father's smoking and drinking, level of mother's smoking and drinking, level of school life, number of friends who smoked, drank alcohol, did drugs, and number of punished friends. The harmony of family, self concept and level of school life were identified as significant variables affecting stress. Conclusions: It is recommended to develop programs for helping improve self concept and promote harmony in family in order to decrease stress among high school students.
지역복지계획수립과정에서의 지역사회복지협의체 민ㆍ관 협력 역할에 대한 인식연구

본 연구는 지역사회복지계획 수립과정에서의 지역사회복지협의체의 민ㆍ관 협력 역할에 대한 민간과 공공의 인식에 대한 연구이다. 이를 위해 전국 시ㆍ군ㆍ구 지역사회복지계획의 담당공무원과 민간위원 450명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 협의체의 민ㆍ관 협력 역할은 협력수준, 공동의사결정, 공동사업수행 등 3개의 하위요인으로 나누어 분석하였다. 분석결과 하위요인 협력수준에서는 두 집단 간에 유미한 차이는 나타나지 않았으나, 하위요인 공동의사결정과 공동사업수행에서는 두 집단 간에 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 지역별로는 군ㆍ구 지역에 비해 시단위에서 유의미한 차이가 많이 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여 민ㆍ관 협력을 통한 지역사회복지협의체 활성화를 위한 정책적 함의를 제시하였다. This study was to explore the perception of the public-private partnership role of community social welfare organization in community welfare planning. Data were obtained from 450 members of the organization. The public-private partnership consisted of three dimensions. The finding of this study showed the significant differences between the public and the private members' perception of mutual decision-making and cooperative working. The members of the organization in the cities had more significant differences than others. According to the result, several alternatives were suggested for the activation of community social welfare organization based on the public-private partnership.

Purpose: The study investigated factors related to the smoking behavior among 639 high school students in Geoje, Korea. Methods: Data collected by self-reported questionnaires was analyzed by the SPSS WIN 14.0 program with Chi-test, t-test, and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: Smoking behavior differed by gender (p=.002), school type (p=.001), experience with alcohol consumption (p=.005), family harmony (p=.003), father"s smoking (p=.001), academic achievement (p=.010), self-esteem (p=.010), stress (p=.004), and attitude to smoking (p=.0001). Smoking behavior was significantly associated with gender (odds ratio (OR)=0.66, 95% confidence interval (CI)=0.46-0.95), school type (OR=1.52, 95% CI=1.03-2.23), experience with alcohol consumption (OR=0.56, 95%CI=0.39-0.82), academic achievement (OR=1.98, 95%CI=1.20-3.29), attitude to smoking (OR=0.76, 95%CI=0.69-0.84) and father"s smoking (OR=1.59, 95%CI=1.11-2.29). Conclusion: Anti-smoking programs for high school students should especially consider those at higher risk (males in vocational high school with no drinking experience of drinking, lower academic achievement, favorable attitude to smoking, and whose fathers smoke). Community efforts to reduce adult smoking would be advantageous.
