      • U-City 시스템 도입에 따른 탄소배출량 저감 효과 분석

        Since $CO_2$ emissions are recognized as the biggest contribution to climate change, the needs and international efforts for $CO_2$ emissions reduction are increasing. The developed countries are driving strategies to boost green industry as a new growth engine. Following this global trend, based on the ongoing U-City project as a new city model, it is required to analyze the changes of $CO_2$ emissions in U-City to identify its potential for reducing carbon dioxide emissions. This study aims at identifying the potential and effects on $CO_2$ reduction by analyzing the level of $CO_2$ emissions before and after introducing U-City. Bundang-Gu, Seongnam-City & Ilsan-Gu, Goyang-City among Phase I new tow ns were selected as model cities before introducing U-City and Dongtan-Dong, Hwaseong-City as a model city after introducing U-City. The result showed 30% reduction of $CO_2$ emissions in the comparison of tw o models. 기후변화의 원인 중 탄소배출이 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 있어 탄소배출 감소의 필요성이 전 세계적으로 제기되고 탄소배출을 감소하기 위한 국제적 움직임이 가속화되고 있다. 선진국들은 녹색산업을 신성장동력 산업으로 활용하는 전략을 추진 중이며 탄소저감형도시(low carbon city)에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 현재 우리나라에서 진행되고 있는 U-City 사업에 대하여 U-City 도입 이전 도시와 U-City 도입 도시의 탄소배출량 변화를 분석하여 이산화탄소 저감효과에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 U-City 도입 이전과 도입 이후의 이산화탄소 발생량을 비교, 분석하여 U-City 도입에 따른 탄소저감 효과를 정량화하고자 하였다. U-City 도입이전의 도시는 1기 신도시 중에 성남시 분당구와 고양시 일산구를 대상으로 하였으며, U-City 도입이후의 도시로는 화성동탄 U-City를 선정하여 비교한 결과 탄소배출량이 30%정도 줄어든 것으로 결과가 도출되었다.

        수평 구조의 MOS-controlled Thyristor에서 채널 길이 및 불순물 농도에 의한 Anode 전류 특성

        The latch-up current and switching characteristics of MOS-Controlled Thyristor(MCT) are studied with variation of the channel length and impurity concentration. The proposed MCT power device has the lateral structure and P-epitaxial layer in substrate. Two dimensional MEDICI simulator is used to study the latch-up current and forward voltage-drop from the characteristics of I-V and the switching characteristics with variation of impurity concentration. The channel length and impurity concentration of the proposed MCT power device show the strong affect on the anode current and turn-off time. The increase of impurity concentration in P and N channels is found to give the increase of latch-up current and forward voltage-drop.

        It is very important, if necessary, to remotely monitor and control the body conditions and behavior of livestock as well as the environment of stall using ubiquitous ict, in order to improve the health and productivity of livestock. With the aim of developing a stall management system, this study investigated users' needs, analyzed them to design systems, developed a web-system and an app for stall management, then applied them to a test-bed. The use of the app developed will make it easy for livestock farmers to easily monitor and control environment of stall using their smartphones and allow them to take care of stall more efficiently.

        『오늘을 잡아라』에 나타난 수직적 초월

        Lucien Goldmann's theory of the novel is very close to that of Rene Girard. For Goldmann, the novel is the story of a search for authentic values in a degraded mode, in a degraded society, and this degradation is expressed through the mediatization, the reduction of authentic values to the implicit level and their disappearance as manifest realities. This structure of the novel corresponds to the structure of the degraded society. I tried to analyze Bellow's novel Seize the Day in the light of Goldmann's theory of the novel structure. The protagonist Wilhelm wants to be a man who will realize the 'American dream', such as Gloria Swanson, Charlton Heston, John Rockfeller, Henry Ford. They are the mediators of desire like Amadis in Don Quixote. The degradation of the fictional world, the progress of the ontological sickness, and the increase of metaphysical desire are expressed in mediatization that increases the distance between metaphysical desire and authentic search, the search for vertical transcendence. In a funeral ceremony, Wilhelm gives up his degraded search, and discovers authenticity or vertical transcendence. The end of the novel is a turning point for vertical transcendence because he converts to a new self from the old self. This means he finds his true self which Dr. Tamkin calls the 'true soul', the opposite of the 'pretender soul'. Authentic value or true self, does not mean the value that the critic or the reader regards as authentic, but that which, without being manifestly present in the novel, organizes itself in accordance with an implicit mode its world as a whole. Wilhelm feels transcendental epiphany when he goes on the subway. It is the same as Emerson's thought. So we can say the true self is the self as a part of the whole.

        원작(소설)에 대한 영화의 스토리변형의 득실 - 소설과 영화, Of Mice and Men의 경우 -

        John Steinbeck’s novel Of Mice and Men is regarded as one of the greatest American novels and is loved by readers. The novel is the story of two young poor workers, George and Lenni, who work on California ranches in the 1930’s, during the Great Depression. The protagonist George kills Lennie with a pistol after accidently choking Curly’s wife to death. George’s intention was to save Lennie from Curly and the ranch workers’ lynch mob. The problem from a moral standpoint is that George goes somewhere with a worker to “eat something” immediately after killing Lennie and he does not receive any punishment from society. Of Mice and Men was successfully adapted into a movie of the same name in 1939 and is considered a Hollywood classic. However, the movie does not perfectly reflect the original story of the novel. While the movie was successful, thanks at least in part to the changes, John Steinbeck’s nonteleological thinking in the novel disappears completely in the movie, as it is replaced by cause and effect. In addition, there is another notable story modification. Lennie carries a dead bird instead of a dead mouse in his pocket. This perverts Steinbeck’s intention and the theme of the novel. Accordingly, we can say that story modifications of an adapted screenplay have both positive and negative functions. (Mokwon University)

        논문 : 『에덴의 동쪽』에 나타난 선악과 자유의지의 문제

        John steinbeck`s novels have been classified generally as ``naturalistic`` by many critics. However, he deals with the themes of good and evil, and free will in East of Eden, by quoting the Biblical story of Cain and Abel as a prototype for the novel, which is against American literary naturalism. Even though he quotes the Bible, he does not follow traditional Christian doctrine. Adam and Lee negate universal ethics and norm by justifying Cain`s murder, for they claim that God favored Abel by accepting Abel`s worship and rejecting Cain`s. Readers are told that Adam`s father, Cyrus, refused to love Adam and Adam in turn refused to love his son Cal. Parents`refusal to love their sons causes them to be alienated from their home and society, and it offers the opportunity for the sons to justify their sins and crimes. The situational ethics structure makes the border between good and evil hazy. Steinbeck seems to raise an objection to the concept of good and evil in East of Eden like in of Mice and Men. It is likely to be criticised because it blurs the border between good and evil. However, it means that Steinbeck accepts the fact that man can do good or evil and that he avoids a naturalistic and non-teleological position. It is a great step forward in his work. A discourse on ``timshell`` which means "thou mayest rule over him" in the Old Testament has special significance in East of Eden. Chinese Lee finds ``timshell`` originated from Hebrew and has a meaning of free will. Adam said to Cal, ``timshell`` before he drew his last breath. It means that Cal is a man with free will. Even if Steinbeck described the last scene with the issue of free will, he does not completely abandon non-teleological position. He still sticks to the characterization of Cathy as a monster. To conclude, East of Eden is a turning point leading to drama of ``consciousness``, which deals with man having free will.

        LANDSAT-5 TM 영상의 대기보정에 따른 클래스별 화소값 분포 변화 비교

        우리나라는 황사발생 빈도가 증가하고 특히 하절기에 강우 및 구름 발생이 잦아 위성원격탐사영상의 대기보정처리를 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 대기보정 전후의 클래스별 화소값 분포 변화를 비교하여 대기보정이 영상화소분류에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실험에 사용된 영상은 LANDSAT-5 TM이고, 대기보정 모듈로는 상용 소프트웨어인 ATCOR, FLMSH와 인터넷에 공개된 COST 모델 3가지를 적용하였다. 실험 결과, 건물밀집지역 영역에서 클래스 분리도가 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. Due to increasing frequency of yellow dust, not to mention high rate of precipitation and cloud formation in summer season of Korea, atmospheric correction of satellite remote sensing is necessary. This research analyzes the effect of atmospheric correction has on imagery classification by comparing DN distribution before and after atmospheric correction. The image used in the research is LANDSAT-5 TM. As for atmospheric correction module, commercial product ATCOR, FLAASH as well as COST model released on the internet, were used. The result of experiment shows that class separability increased in building areas.
