데이터 보강을 위한 데이터 통합기법에 관한 연구

데이터마이닝에서 가장 중요한 요소 중 하나는 마이닝에 사용될 데이터의 질이다. 질 높은 데이터를 바탕으로 마이닝이 수행될 때, 데이터마이닝의 잠재적 가치는 증대될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 지식발견 과정 중 데이터의 질을 향상시키기 위한 한 단계인 데이터 보강을 위해 데이터 통합 기법을 제안하고, 모의실험을 통해 제안된 알고리즘의 효율성을 비교하였다. 실험결과 제안된 알고리즘이 데이터 통합의 성능을 향상시킴을 알 수 있었다. One of the best important thing in data mining process is the quality of data used. When we perform the mining on data with excellent quality, the potential value of data mining can be improved. In this paper, we propose the data fusion technique for data enrichment that one phase can improve data quality in KDD process. We attempted to add k-NN technique to the regression technique, to improve performance of fusion technique through reduction of the loss of information. Simulations were performed to compare the proposed data fusion technique with the regression technique. As a result, the newly proposed data fusion technique is characterized with low MSE in continuous fusion variables.

A Study on Imputation using Adjusted Cohen Method

Many studies have been done to develop procedures to deal with missing values. Most common method is to reassign the other values to the missing data. The purpose of our study is to suggest adjusted Cohen methods and to compare the efficiency of them with other methods through a simulation study. The adjusted Cohen methods use an auxiliary variable to arrange ranking of the variable with missing values. It leads to a reduced mean square error(MSE) compared with the Cohen method.

초산모와 경산모의 모성역할 자신감에 대한 영향요인 비교

본 연구는 산욕 초기 초산모와 경산모를 대상으로 일반적 특성, 자존감, 사회적 지지, 분만 전 태아애착, 모성역할 자신감과의 관계를 확인하고 모성역할 자신감에 대한 영향요인을 확인함으로써 모성역할 자신감을 증진시키는 데 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도하였다. 연구 결과 초산모의 모성역할 자신감의 영향요인은 사회적 지지, 자존감, 분만형태였으며 경산모의 모성역할 자신감에 영향요인은 아기의 성별, 분만 전 태아애착 정도, 교육수준으로 나타났다. 따라서 초산모와 경산모의 모성역할 자신감을 향상시키기 위해서는 인구사회학적 요인 및 산과적 요인과 아울러 분만 전 태아애착 정도, 자존감, 사회적 지지를 고려한 간호중재 프로그램이 개발되어야함을 시사한다.

A Study on Split Variable Selection Using Transformation of Variables in Decision Trees

In decision tree analysis, C4.5 and CART algorithm have some problems of computational complexity and bias on variable selection. But QUEST algorithm solves these problems by dividing the step of variable selection and split point selection. When input variables are continuous, QUEST algorithm uses ANOVA F-test under the assumption of normality and homogeneity of variances. In this paper, we investigate the influence of violation of normality assumption and effect of the transformation of variables in the QUEST algorithm. In the simulation study, we obtained the empirical powers of variable selection and the empirical bias of variable selection after transformation of variables having various type of underlying distributions.

A study on the scoring method of the ordinal variable

The main characteristic of the ordinal scale is that its categories have a logically or continuously ordered relationship to each other. A continuous type permits measuring degrees of differences among categories. Also, the specific amount of differences is important. In this paper we consider the scoring method using a dummy variable based on distance among categories.

의사결정나무에서 분리 변수 선택에 관한 연구

의사결정나무에서 분리 변수를 선택하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다. C4.5는 변수 선택에 있어 연속형 변수로의 변수 선택 편의가 심각하고, QUEST는 연속형 변수와 관련해서 정규성 가정이 위반될 경우 변수 선택력이 떨어진다. 본 논문에서는 통계적 로버스트 검정 알고리즘을 제안하고, 모의 실험을 통하여 C4.5, QUEST그러고 제안된 알고리즘의 효율성을 비교하였다. 실험 결과 제안된 알고리즘이 변수 선택 편의와 변수 선택력 측면에서 로버스트함을 알 수 있었다. It is very important to select a split variable in constructing the classification tree. The efficiency of a classification tree algorithm can be evaluated by the variable selection bias and the variable selection power. The C4.5 has largely biased variable selection due to the influence of many distinct values in variable selection and the QUEST has low variable selection power when a continuous predictor variable doesn't deviate from normal distribution. In this thesis, we propose the SRT algorithm which overcomes the drawback of the C4.5 and the QUEST. Simulations were performed to compare the SRT with the C4.5 and the QUEST. As a result, the SRT is characterized with low biased variable selection and robust variable selection power.

A Statistical Matching Method with k-NN and Regression

Statistical matching is a method of data integration for data sources that do not share the same units. It could produce rapidly lots of new information at low cost and decrease the response burden affecting the quality of data. This paper proposes a statistical matching technique combining k-NN (k-nearest neighborhood) and regression methods. We select k records in a donor file that have similarity in value with a specific observation of the common variable in a recipient file and estimate an imputation value for the recipient file, using regression modeling in the donor file. An empirical comparison study is conducted to show the properties of the proposed method.

2단계 로지스틱 회귀모형을 이용한 직무만족도와 이직행동에 관한 연구 - 대졸자 직업이동 경로조사 자료를 중심으로

근로자의 직무만족도는 이직의사와 높은 연관성을 갖고 이직의사는 이직행동에 영향을 주고 있는데 본 논문에서는 직무만족도가 이직행동에 영향을 주는가를 조사하였다. 이직행동에 영향을 주는 변인에 대한 실증적인 연구에서 이직행동을 종속변수로 하고 이직의사를 독립변인으로 모형화 하였을 때, 이직의사는 직무만족도, 급여, 근로형태 등의 다른 독립변수들과 높은 상관관계를 갖기 때문에 이직행동에 유의한 변인을 검출하는데 주의가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 한국고용정보원의 "대졸자 직업이동 경로조사"자료에서 이항 변수인 이직의사를 도구변수에 의해 확률값으로 추정하고 이를 이직행동 모형에 독립변인으로 대입하는 2단계 로지스틱 회귀모형을 사용함으로써 이직행동에 영향을 주는 유의한 요인을 검출하였다. Job satisfaction impacts on the turnover intention of employee, which affects the turnover behavior. This paper concerns with the impact of job satisfaction on the turn over behavior. Since turnover intention is highly correlated with job satisfaction, salary, employment status and etc, we should pay careful attention for modelling of those variables as independent variables and the turnover behavior as a dependent variable in the empirical study for the impact of factors on turnover behavior. We detect significant variables which effect the turnover behavior using 2-stage logistic regression inserting the turnover intention, an independent variable, with the chance estimates derived from the instrumental variables in Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey.

통계학과 발전방향에 대한 고찰 : 교직과정을 중심으로

현재 통계학과의 수가 급격히 감소하고 있으며 우수한 학생들의 유치가 매우 어려워지는 상황에서 본 연구에서는 통계학과의 발전방향에 대해 다양한 관점에서 연구해 보았다. 특히 외환부족 사태 이후 교직에 대한 선호도가 높아지고 또 7차 교육과정에서 통계 교육이 강화되는 시점에서 통계학에 대한 교직과정을 확대하는 방안 또한 알아보았다. 어느 하나 쉬운 것이 없지만 모두의 다양한 노력이 전제되어야만 더 나은 미래를 만들어 갈 수 있을 것이다. Present situation for statistics departments is in crisis in the view point of decreasing numbers of departments and difficulty in receiving good quality highschool graduate students. In this paper; we study the various ways of developing statistics department. Especially after the foreign exchange crisis in 1997, the preference for the teaching jobs in highschool is increasing drastically, the installment of teacher-training course is regraded as one of several crucial ways to get good highschool graduates and to complete with other majors at the same time.
