        The study on Uredinales of Korea was initiated by P. Hennings in 1899. After that abundant works were done by Naohide Hiratsuka. And Seiya Ito, P. & H. Sydow, K. Nakata, S. Takimoto, A.L. Jaczewsk, V. L. Komarov, W.A. Tranzschel and others also engaged in the research on this field. Since 1956 the author has collected the specimen in South Korea, chiefly around Prov. Kangwon, among which are found 12 species 4 genera of rusts and 22 species of additional hosts all unrecorded from Korea. The author has described in the paper 220 species 32 genera 3 families of rusts in Korea, including those collected, by this author. This works, it must be added, owe much to the literatures of Dr. Naohide Hiratsuka, Prof. of Tokyo University of Education. The author express his hearty thanks to him.

        해양심층수 관련 국내 특허출원 동향

        Deep sea water exists at depths of over 200m under the sea. As no sunlight reaches it, photosynthesis does not take place within it, and it contains no organic matter. In addition, its temperature is maintained at a stable low level throughout the year, so it does not get mixed with the sea water on the surface. It contains a large amount of nutritious salts, whose cleanness is maintained. It is a marine resource that has matured for a long period of time. Research into deep sea water, which started in the 1970s, has been made around the whole world, including the USA and Japan. In Korea, research has been active in this area since 2000. As there has been a good amount of research into industrial applications for deep sea water, since 1993, patents for the relevant technologies have been applied. This paper intends to provide a resource to researchers of deep sea water, by summarizing of all domestic deep sea water-related patents applied with Korean Intellectual Property Office from 1993 to 2008. This research was conducted using a computer and KIPRIS Database owned by the Korea Institute of Patent Information. `Deep sea water` was used as the search keyword. A total of 222 Korean patents relating to deep sea water have been registered on the basis of IPC. Of these, 126 patents relate to the manufacturing and the treatment of foods, foodstuffs, or non-alcoholic beverages(A23L), while 50 patents relate to the production for medical, dental, or cosmetic purposes(A61K). 38 patents relate to water purification, treatment of wastewater, sewage and sludge(C02F), while 8 patents relate to fishery and farming(A01K). In summary, it was found that studies for the practical use of deep sea water have been conducted in relation to the manufacturing and the treatment of foods, foodstuffs, beverages, and cosmetics.

        총설 : 해양심층수의 특성과 이용 및 국내외 연구현황

        Deep sea water is found more than 200 m under the surface. As no sunlight reaches, no photosynthesis takes place, and it has very little organic matter or bacteria. In addition, deep sea water maintains a consistently low temperature throughout the year, and it does not mix with the water found closer to the surface, which means that its cleanliness is preserved. It is a long-term mature sea water resource that is rich in minerals. This paper examined the physical characteristics and the uses of deep sea water, a subject that has been attracting a great deal of public attention recently, together with the current status of domestic research into it and the direction of research in the USA and Japan, focusing on the existing literature. The aim of this paper was to provide are source to researchers in the field. Since the 1970s, scientists around the world have recognized the importance of deep sea water, and have been conducting research into it. In the USA, deep sea water has been researched with the view of its application to cooling, alternative energy, farming, and the development of new materials. In Japan, about 10 local self-governing bodies are currently promoting research and business relating to deep sea water, which has resulted in a number of products that have been released to the market. In Korea, the ministry of land transport and marine affairs has been studying deep sea water since 2000, and full-scale national R&D projects have been performed by 24 organizations, including KORDI, through industrial/academic cooperation. Large companies are participating in deep sea water research projects in several ways. A study of data foundusing NDSL relating to domestic studies of deep sea water found 50 theses, 177 domestic patents, 6 analyses, 2 reports, and 2 etc. in other areas.

        사료내 가용라이신의 측정 및 응용에 관한 연구;쥐의 Slope - Ratio Assay 에 의한 가용라이신의 측정

        Available lysine values in protein feedstuffs were determined by rat bioassay (RBA) using the slope-ratio method. Slope-ratios were calculated by regression analysis of carcass weight gain according to percent of lysine supplied by the test protein feedstuff(RBA-A), live weight gain according to percent of lysine supplied by the test protein feedstuff(RBA-B), carctrss weight gain according to the amount of lysine intake from the test protein feedstuff(RBA-C), live weight gain according to the amount of lysine intake from the test protein feedstuff(RBAD), FCR(carcass weight gainfeedj according to percent of lysine supplied by the test protein feedstuff(RBA-E) and FCR(live weight gain/feed) according to percent of lysine supplied by the test protein feedstuff(RBA-F). Average lysine availability as detemlined by various RBA methods was highest in fish meal(133.0%), followed by can gluten(108.0%), soybean meal(97.9%), canola meal(83.9%), meat and bone meal(68.0%), cottonseed meal (58.7%), rapeseed meal(30.7%) and leather meal(15.9%). Lysine availabilities based on lysine intake(RBA-C, D) and live weight gain(RBA-B, D) tended to be higher than those haled on percent of lysine(RBA-A, B) and carcass weight gain(RBA-A. C), respectively. Lysine availability based on live weight gain had a higher correlation with chemically determined lysine availability than that based on carcass weight gain. FDNB(1-fluoro-2, 4-dinitrobenzene) available lysine showed a higher correlation with available lysine as determined by RBA than TNBS(2, 4, 6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid) availahle lysine did.

        피부미용 관련 건강기능식품 국내 특허 등록현황

        피부미용은 피부의 신진대사 및 생리활성을 촉진시키고 영양공급을 통해 건강하고 아름다운 피부를 관리하는 행위이며, 피부에 직접적인 처리를 하는 화장품과 식품을 섭취함으로써 주름 개선을 비롯한 피부미용 효과를 얻으려는 건강기능식품이 이러한 목적에 사용되고 있다. 피부미용 관련 건강기능식품은 피부를 구성하고 있는 표피, 진피, 피하조직을 유지하고, 나이에 따른 내인성 노화, 자외선에의해 유발되는 외인성 노화를 개선하는 데 유효한 기능성식품이다. 피부미용 관련 건강기능식품 분야는 크게 발전하고 있는 기능성 화장품에 비해 관심이나 연구가 적은 편이지만, 표피의 개선으로는 한계가 있기 때문에 식품을 통한 섭취로 진피층을 유지함으로써 피부미용을 개선하는 이 분야는 관련 연구와 기술개발이 활성화 되어 관련 특허들이 출원되어 다양한 분야의 실용화가 진행될 것으로 기대된다. 우리나라는 선진국에 비해 늦게 피부미용 관련 건강기능식품 연구가 시작되었으며, 산업적으로 실용화 하기 위한 연구도 함께 진행되어 관련 기술에 대한 특허가 활발하게 출원되고 있다. 본 연구는 최근 관심이 집중되고 있는 피부미용 관련 건강기능식품에 관련된 특허기술에 대해 정리함으로써 관련분야의 연구자들에게 작은 도움이 되고자 2011년까지 대한민국 특허청에 출원 등록된 국내 특허를 한국특허 정보원이 소장한 KIPRIS 데이터베이스를 이용하여 검색의 키워드는 ``피부미용, 건강기능식품``으로 검색하여 정리하였다. 피부미용 관련 건강기능식품이 주로 이용되는 산업분야는 식품, 식료품, 음료, 관련분야에서 활발하게 특허출원이 되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 검색된 특허는 총 1,120건으로 많은 특허들이 출원되었으나, 최종적으로 등록된 특허는 370편이었으며, 산업분야별 출원 등록건수를 보면 식품 식료품 또는 비알코올성 음료 그 조제 또는 처리분야(A23L)가 135건으로 가장 많았고, 다음으로 식물 의약품 및 화장품관련 기술분야(A61K)가 112건, 미생물 또는 효소에 관련된 분야(C12N)가 63건, 이종원자고리 화합물 분야 (C07D)가 44건, 원예 또는 해조재배 임업 분야(A01G)에서 16건 순이었다. 이중에서 기구, 장치, 화장품류를 제외하고 중요하다고 판단되는 각 분야의 중요한 등록특허들을 선별하여 149편을 게재하였다. Proper skin care promotes good metabolism and the biological activity of skin, helps maintain the skin in a healthy and beautiful state when combined with nutritional nourishment. Health functional foods are being used for the purpose of enhancing efficient skin care. Health functional foods related to skin care maintain the epidermis, dermal fibroblast layer and subcutaneous tissue that form the skin. Efficient functional foods alleviate the signs of endogenous aging that come with getting older and exogenous aging caused by sunlight. Even though the field of skin care related to health functional foods has received less attention and been the subject of less research compared to functional cosmetics which are developing widely, this area of skin care that maintains and improves the layer of dermal fibroblast through the intake of food, is expected to progress with the commercialization of products in many fields when the related technical research development is galvanized and the related patents are applied for. Research into health functional foods related to skin care in Korea started rather late in comparison to other advanced countries where patents for relevant techniques have been applied for since 1990`s together with research conducted on how they might be used for practical purposes. This study used the key words ``skin care, health functional food`` to search for Korean patents that have been applied for at the Korean Intellectual Property Office from 1983 to 2011 using the KIPRIS database, in order to help researchers in the related fields by organizing the patented formulas for health functional foods for skin care which have gained attention recently. According to the number of registrations in each industry field, the total number of patents was 1,120 we screened the major patents among them, the field with the largest number was food foodstuff non-alcoholic beverage and preparation or treatment(A23L) with 135, then natural plant medicine & medical supplies and cosmetics(A61K) with 112, microorganisms or enzymes(C12N) with 63, heterocyclic compounds(C07D) with 44, horticulture or cultivation of sea weeds, forestry(A01G) 16 times, listed from the highest to the lowest number of applications. It has been revealed that food, foodstuff, non-alcoholic beverage and preparation or treatment (A23L) was the industry field where the most patents for health functional foods related to skin care were registered.
