Microstructures of unidirectionally solidified Al-Co alloys made by a melt spinner were investigated. In this work, commercially pure a aluminum-cobalt alloys with compositions on the cobalt-rich side of the eutectic point were solidified vertically under the conditions of controlled crystal growth rate (R) and temperature gradientf G). The eutectic microstructure was varied according to the growth conditionl (G/R ratio). When G/R ration was lager than 8.5x10³℃/㎠/sec, the lamellar structure was formed, when G/R raton was smaller than 8.5x10³℃ /㎠/sec, the colony structure was formed. It was found that the interlamellar spacing(λ²) was depedent on the growth rate(R) through the relationship, λ² · R=constant.

This paper was written to develop a de-snowing algorithm that can be used for autonomous driving technology in a snowy environment. To apply the de-snowing algorithm to autonomous driving technology, it is necessary to ensure a fast computation speed. Also, it should be possible to visually remove snow particles while preserving image quality. To implement this, we analyzed the computation speed of the state-of-the-art noise removal algorithms in consideration of the computation speed required in the autonomous driving object detection research field. Besides, considering the approach of the noise removal algorithm, an approach that can guarantee noise removal performance under various environmental conditions was set as a target. As a result, a model-driven image de-snowing algorithm was proposed. We designed the algorithm to take advantage of the GPU hardware power in terms of speed. Concerning accuracy, a filter of the Hampel concept that can determine whether the target pixel is noisy was applied. Through a filter, pixels that are not noise are preserved to ensure image quality, and noise can be removed by replacing pixels from a reference frame.
극한환경에서 적외선 카메라의 객체 탐지를 위한 딥러닝 기반 데이터 증강 방법에 관한 연구

Recently, in-depth studies on sensors of autonomous vehicles have been conducted. In particular, the trend to pursue only camera-based autonomous driving is progressing. Studies on object detection using IR (Infrared) cameras is essential in overcoming the limitations of the VIS (Visible) camera environment. Deep learning-based object detection technology requires sufficient data, and data augmentation can make the object detection network more robust and improve performance. In this paper, a method to increase the performance of object detection by generating and learning a highresolution image of an infrared dataset, based on a data augmentation method based on a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) was studied. We collected data from VIS and IR cameras under severe conditions such as snowfall, fog, and heavy rain. The infrared data images from KAIST were used for data learning and verification. We confirmed that the proposed data augmentation method improved the object detection performance, by applying generated dataset to various object detection networks. Based on the study results, we plan on developing object detection technology using only cameras, by creating IR datasets from numerous VIS camera data to be secured in the future and fusion with VIS cameras.

Several cloned animals have been produced using somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) and have interested in producing the transgenic cloned animals to date. But still its efficiency was low due to a number of reasons, such as sub-optimal culture condition, aberrant gene expression and nuclear reprogramming. The purpose of this study was to analyze gene expression pattern in in vitro fertilized (IVF) or SCNT pre-implantation embryos. IVF- or SCNTembryos were cultured in media supplemented with different proteins (FBS and BSA) or energy sources (glucose or fructose). Blastocysts from IVF or SCNT were analyzed using semi-quantitative RT-PCR in terms of developmentor metabolic-related genes. Culture medium supplemented different proteins or energy sources had affected on the expression of developmental or metabolic genes in the SCNT blastocysts.

N/A The structures and mechanical property of the unidirectionally solidified Al-Co eutectic alloy were investigated. Al-Co eutectic alloy was unidirectionally solidified with growth rates(R) between 1 cm/hr and 10 cm/hr in the induction furnace maintaining the thermal gradient (G) at solid-liquid interface, 32℃/cm. The eutectic microstructure was varied with the growth condition(GIR ratio). When the G/R ratio was larger than 8.5×10³℃/cm²/sec, a lamellar structure was formed, But the GIR ratio was smaller than 8.5 ×10³℃/cm²/sec, a colony structure was formed. It was found that the interlamellar spacing(λ) was dependent on the growth rate(R) with the relationship, λ²·R = constant. The microhardness of this eutectic alloy increased with increase in the growth rate
적외선 객체 탐지 성능 향상을 위한 데이터 증강 방법 적용

최근 자율주행차의 센서들에 대한 깊이 있는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 오직 카메라 기반의 자율주행을 추구하는 트렌드가 진행되고 있으며, VIS (Visible) 카메라의 환경에 대한 한계를 극복하기 위해 IR (Infrared) 카메라를 활용한 객체 탐지에 대한 연구는 반드시 필요하다. 딥러닝 기반의 객체 탐지 기술은 충분한 데이터를 필요로 하며, 데이터 증강은 객체 탐지 네트워크를 더 견고하게 성능을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 GAN (Generative Adversarial Network)을 기반으로 하는 데이터 증강 방법을 기반으로 적외선 데이터셋의 고해상도 이미지를 생성하고 학습하여 객체 탐지의 성능을 높일 수 있는 방법을 연구를 진행하였다. 데이터의 학습과 검증을 위해 강설, 안개, 폭우 등의 악기상에서 VIS 카메라와 IR 카메라의 데이터를 수집하였으며, FLIR 사의 적외선 데이터 이미지를 활용하였다. 생성된 데이터셋을 활용하여 다양한 객체탐지 네트워크에 적용하여 객체탐지 성능이 향상 된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 앞으로도 확보될 수많은 VIS 카메라 데이터를 IR 데이터셋으로 생성하고, VIS 카메라와 퓨전하여 오직 카메라만을 활용한 객체 탐지 기술을 발전시킬 예정이다. 궁극적으로 IR 카메라의 장점을 활용하여 자율주행차 영역만이 아닌 군용 감시 무기체계와 산업용 센서 등에 적용할 수 있는 범용적인 카메라 기반의 탐지 기술을 기대할 수 있다.
시지각 프로그램이 경직성 뇌성마비 아동의 글씨 쓰기 명료도와 시지각 능력에 미치는 영향

Purpose: This study intends to investigate if visual perception training program has influence on writing intelligibility and visual perception ability of the children who have spastic cerebral palsy. Methods: The subjects were 12 children of 4-8 years old. Classifying them into 2 groups - cerebral palsy children group(6) and normal children group(6), visual perception training program was conducted to the cerebral palsy children group twice a week for 4 weeks. Korean alphabet writing test and Korean-version development test on visual perception(DTVP-2) were used for the test. Result: First, the cerebral palsy children group had significantly lower scores on visual perception than the normal children group. Second, Two groups didn`t show significantly difference between before and after the visual perception training program. Third, The normal children group significantly increased at three parts without the visual perception training program. Forth, The cerebral palsy children group significantly increased at the only a part after the visual perception training program Conclusion: For the visual perception ability improvement of cerebral palsy children, it is necessary to systematic and continued intervention. And the study about the effect of the visual perception training program application according to by type characteristic of the cerebral palsy child wishes to proceed.
