“좋은 사회과 수업”에 대한 초등교사들의 인식 -Focus Group Interview를 중심으로-

본 연구에서는 현장에서의 교사들의 좋은 사회과 수업에 대한 인식과 노력을 파악해 보고, ‘사회과 수업’에서 지향하고 있는 방향을 파악해보고자 하였다. 이에 교사들의 수업관을 분류한 뒤, 두 차례에 걸친 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(Focus group interview)를 실시하여 ‘좋은 사회과 수업’에 대한 교사들의 인식과 실제 운영 모습을 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 사회과 과목에 관심과 상대적으로 접해본 경험이 많은 A그룹과 비교적 관심과 경험이 적은 B그룹의 교사등 두 그룹의 초등학교 교사 8명을 선정하여 ‘좋은 사회과 수업’에 대한 인터뷰를 실시하고, 이를 녹취하여 전사하고 분석하였다. 그 결과로 드러난 초등 교사들의 인식과 구성방향은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 좋은 사회과 수업에 대한 관점의 차이는 수업 구성 및 교사의 자질에 관한 인식차이로 이어졌다. 둘째, 두 그룹 모두 교사의 열정과 적극성을 높게 평가하였다. 셋째, A그룹과 B그룹 모두 내용적인 측면의 접근 보다 교수학습 방법 적인 측면으로 수업에 점근하고 있었다. 넷째, 수업의 운영적인 측면에서 A그룹의 경우 교과서 밖의 시사적, 지역적 자료들을 적극적으로 재구성하고 있었으며, 학습자가 배우는 내용을 자신의 문제로 인식할 때 성공적인 수업으로 인식하고 있었으며, B그룹의 경우는 학습자의 적극적인 참여와 활동을 성공적인 수업에 중요한 요소로 보고 체험학습을 중요한 학습 방법으로 꼽았다. ‘좋은 사회과 수업은 문서화 된 교육과정으로 존재하는 것이 아니라 교사에 의해 재구성되어 실제화 된 것이며, 교사에 의해 재구성되어 실행된 교육과정을 통해 교실 상황 속에서 드러난 것임을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 현장 교사들의 목소리가 교육과정 개선에 더 반영되어야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study was to discuss how to direct a good social studies class from the teachers` point of view. In this study, after classifying teacher by type, the (Focus Group Interview) members interviewed in two rounds. This was to understand the difference between perception and reality in regards to how the social studies classes were run. Group A teachers had more experiences and a greater propensity towards social studies, whereas Group B were less interested in the subject and had fewer experiences in it. Each teacher was individually interviewed and results were recorded. The results are presented below. The differences in perspective, in regards to social study classes, were caused by teachers` views and skills on how to reconstruct the subject. Both groups showed a desire and enthusiasm towards the subject and teaching in general. They tried to focus on a methodological approach rather than a cognitive approach. Group A used a lot of materials from outside the classroom such as regional data, mass media, and electronic forms of communication. When they taught the students they found the successful classes were often the ones where the students showed how the material related to them. Group B reasoned that active participation in various activities was the main factor that led to a successful classroom experience. There are some valuable implications derived from this study. The term ‘the better social studies class’ is not written into the curriculum but is interpreted by the teacher and is influenced by the teachers` own points of view.

미용사의 교육훈련이 업무수행능력과 조직유효성에 미치는 영향

The curriculum and programs of hairdresser became systematic and principled because of the rapid change of the beauty industry. However, there are only few researches concerning how these curriculums and programs affect to the job performance and organizational effectiveness of hairdressers. Therefore, we classified the items consisting these curriculums and programs into educational training realization, necessity, job performance and orginational effectiveness. Based on this classification, we concluded that the positive attitude of trainees, which is caused by the professional training programs, tends to lead high achievement of job performance and organizational effectiveness. As the result, professional training programs are needed to improve job performance and orginizational effectiveness of the hairdresser. In the perspective that we classified, the development of varied professional training programs, detailedly segmented beauty skills, business educations and service educations are required to improve both of job performance and organizational effectiveness.
