A great deal of study for loss reduction of photovoltaic system is conducted currently. It is hard to distinct the fault of photovoltaic system with the naked eye. For that reason, it is essential to repair and maintain the PV system by monitoring the system. The fault of individual modules can cause the huge loss of the entire system because of the mismatch. Therefore, the method of diagnosing the PV array is necessary by measuring the multi-channel arrays simultaneously. In this paper, it is presented the method of measuring I-V curve of multi-channel arrays simultaneously by using the charge and discharge characteristics of capacitor. Generated DC power at PV arrays is charged and discharged at the capacitors in a moment. By measuring the charged voltage and current, it is possible to diagnose of performance of PV arrays.
MEAC를 적용한 HVDC Run-up SPS의 안정도향상 효과분석

In spite of continuous increase of electric power demand and new generation plants, it is very difficult to install new transmission line. Therefore, it comes to be difficult to operate the power system stable, so it is required to find another way to get new transmission capacity. Because HVDC transmission system installation is the one of the best option for us, we have undertake the HVDC project in mainland. Buckdangjin-Goduck HVDC project(500kV, 3GW) is currently under construction and Eastern Power HVDC project(500kV, 8GW) is under the study for technical specification. Both of them have the Run-up SPS function for taking action of 765kV Transmission line fault. The Run-up SPS function increases the active power output of the HVDC rapidly when the transmission line between the power plant and network is tripped, thereby preventing the generator from overspeed and improving the power system stability. In this paper, we propose MEAC(Modified Equal Area Criteria) method based on traditional EAC method to quantitatively evaluate the effect of the HVDC run-up SPS function on the power system stability improvement.

We report here an unusual case of pericardial tuberculoma that was misdiagnosed as thymic carcinoma on an imaging study. A 48-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of an anterior mediastinal mass. Computed tomography (CT) scans of the chest displayed cystic masses mimicking thymic carcinoma at the anterior mediastinum. Pericardiotomy and surgical drainage of the cystic masses were done, and pathologic examination of the excised pericardial specimen showed a chronic granulomatous inflammation with necrosis, compatible with tuberculosis. Acid-fast bacilli were also identified in the specimen. After treatment with anti-tuberculosis drugs and steroids, the patient showed clinical improvement. Although tuberculous pericarditis usually presents as pericardial effusion or constrictive pericarditis, it can also present as a pericardial mass mimicking thymic carcinoma on CT. Therefore, we suggest that tuberculous pericardial abscess should be included in the differential diagnosis of a mediastinal mass in Korea, with intermediate tuberculosis prevalence.

알루미늄 중독 환자들은 대부분 신부전 환자에서 보고되고 있으며 치료 역시 데페록사민이나 혈액투석 등 신부전에서의 치료를 중심으로 한다. 저자들은 정상 신기능 성인 환자에게서 알루미늄 방광세척술 후 방광파열과 동반하여 발생한 급성 알루미늄 뇌증 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이며 신부전 환자가 아니더라도 방광파열 등으로 다량의 알루미늄에 노출이 될 경우 혈중 알루미늄 수치가 급격히 상승할 위험성이 높기에 유의해야 할 것으로 생각된다. Acute aluminum intoxication is uncommon in clinical practice but can be fatal. Most cases have been reported in patients with decreased renal function, especially dialysis patients. We describe a case of acute aluminum encephalopathy with intraperitoneal bladder rupture following aluminum bladder irrigation in a patient with normal renal function. A 51-year-old woman with a radical hysterectomy and external irradiation therapy for cervical cancer 15 years earlier was admitted due to gross hematuria, An aluminum intravesical irrigation was performed. After 1 day of intravesical irrigation, abdominal pain and fever developed. Abdominal CT images demonstrated bladder perforation and peritonitis. An emergency laparotomy was performed. Operative findings showed a perforated dome of the bladder with gray colored peritoneal fluids. Two days after the operation, she complained of numbness and pain in the left side of her face. Acute aluminum encephalopathy was diagnosed after excluding infectious, rheumatological, and other vascular causes. She was treated with combined intravenous deferoxamine and hemodialysis.
