        도덕교육으로서의 스포츠의 과제

        Despite many physical educators and coaches attempt to teach sportsmanship or ethical behavior we couldn't make sure that they've had a chance of moral behavior and making ethical decision. Historically many physical educators have believed that sport teaches positive values such as teamwork, ethical conduct and fairness. But the field of education in our society seek to good fitness, good score and winning without sport spirits. The education emphasize that technique and skill is absolute. In this study, I have an intent to express the tasks of sport as a moral education. First of all, we should understand what the moral principle is meaning, how each person defines morality and how this interpretation affects our values in sport contexts. Second, we should be aware of the good of sport that most valued. Teachers, students, coaches and athletes are remembered not only for their achievements their game together. Third, we have to aware that sport behaviors are consistent with our moral values. Fourth, we should know the established values of the morality depends on our moral attitude. So sport, like life, should provides ample opportunities to demonstrate one's moral value as a internal value of sport. In sport, each person has numerous chances to choose between good and bad and to experience internal value of sport to demonstrate virtuous amoral behaviors. 인간은 교육되어야 하는 유일한 존재이며 한 인격체로 완성되어가는 존재이다. 교육의 목적은 미완성적인 인간을 바람직한 전인으로 이끄는데 있으며 동시에 사회적인 인간관계 안에서 인간됨을 성취할 수 있다. 사회적인 인간관계 안에서 성숙된다는 것은 인간적인 도리와 규범들의 도덕적 행위를 실천할 수 있는 도덕교육의 중요성을 의미한다. 이는 교육의 본질과 관련되며, 스포츠의 내재적 가치를 성취할 수 있는 방법임을 알 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 스포츠에서의 도덕교육이 왜 중요한가를 반성해보고 도덕교육으로 실현될 수 있는 앞으로의 과제를 언급하는 것에 그 목적을 두었다. 즉, 인간에게 왜 도덕교육이 필요한가를 살펴보고, 다음으로는 스포츠 교육에서 얼마나 도덕성이 성취되고 있는가를 비판하였다. 마지막으로 도덕교육으로서의 스포츠의 역할을 살펴보았다. 일반적으로 스포츠가 도덕적 가치들을 가르친다는 동의하고 있다. 그러나 스포츠에서 나타나는 비도덕적인 행위들의 현상들은 이와 같은 동의를 거부하게 한다. 만약 스포츠가 도덕적 가치들을 가지고 있지 않다면 스포츠의 내재적 가치를 부정하는 것이고 이는 본질적으로 스포츠의 가치에 위배되는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 여기서 중요한 문제는 스포츠에 내재하고 있는 도덕성을 어떻게 경기하고, 가르치고, 실행하느냐의 도덕교육의 방법적인 문제로 귀결될 수 있다. 결론적으로 제시되는 도덕교육으로서의 스포츠의 과제는 도덕교육을 위한 방안을 통하여 가능할 것이다. 첫째는 도덕적인 행위를 무조건적으로 수용하기 이전에 도덕적 원리들을 이해해야 한다는 것이고, 둘째는 스포츠를 한다는 것은 타인과의 도덕성을 전제로 하여 이루어질 때 더욱 좋은 스포츠를 경험할 수 있다는 사실을 인식하는 것이다. 셋째는 스포츠를 행하기 위한 규칙들을 단순히 암기하고 기능을 습득하기 이전에 인격체로서 자율적인 가치판단의 주체자임을 인식해야 한다는 것이다. 그리고 마지막으로 스포츠의 내재적 가치들을 실천할 수 있는 기회로서 도덕적인 마음가짐와 태도를 형성할 수 있는 프로그램의 계발을 강조하였다.

        인문 · 사회과학편 : 사르트르(J. P. Sartre)의 실존주의적(實存主義的) 체육관(體育館)에 관한 고찰

        J.P. Sartre is the representative philosopher of existentialim and one of the most influential thinker in 20 th century. His thought has been widespread throughout the world.In this paper Sartre’s existentialism is regarded as giving the basis of philosophy of physical education. Special attention is given to as follows : ① Sartre’s theory of mind and body relationship : ② the definition of existence ; ③ the human situation projected into the absolute nothing and responsibility.As shown above, Sartre’s theory can easily applicate the philosophy of physical education. According to Sartre, sports activity must alwary concentrate the self-realization and self-expression of the player himself. All of players must keep in mind their existential situation so throgh the game the game they may reach at the highest point of self-realization.

        체육에 있어서 스포츠 내재성의 활용가능성에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to consider the physical education connected with the contents of the intrinsic character in sport. I approach the physical education with a definitive situation to present a practical possibility. These results of this study are as follow. The physical education have realized the human - education through play, sport, dance, gymnastics and recreation. Sport is a style - conception be composed of physical education. But I knew that the competition in the intrinsic character took with the representative character of the physical education. I could ascertain that the competitive character is, the same as, the physical education and that is the essential existence of it. The peak experience have gone through a process of competitive activities. It experienced the peak - ecstasy sensation to a performer. Be caused by the peak experience, I knew that it is be the best a teaching materials in the physical education. I could ascertain that the process of self - actualization connected the pleasure, joy and blessedness in sport activities. they make us undergo a peak - psychological ecstasy feeling and satisfaction be impossible in the extrinsic character of sport. In case of apply to physical education them, I could be understand that these get to a higher educational results than them now. If we were to make into one the intrinsic and the extrinsic character, I could knew that we could accomplish a upward and a desirable the changeable possibility in physical education Therefore, there have difficulties to be theorization, figuration and numeration the intrinsic characters in sport now. But, if we were to do study continuously with the intrinsic and extrinsic character of sport from now. we could expect to greate innovatory change - possibility in physical education, in future. 체육은 놀이, 스포츠, 무용, 체조 그리고 레크리에이션 등으로 구성되어된 교재를 통하여 인간교육을 실현하고 있다. 여기서 스포츠는 체육을 구성하는 하나의 종개념이지만 그 내재성인 경쟁성으로 볼 때, 대표성을 지니고 있음을 알게 되었다. 경쟁성은 곧 체육을 대표하는 본질적 실재임도 확인할 수 있었다. 이 경쟁활동 과정 속에서 비의도적으로 경험하게 되는 소위 ‘극정적 경험’이라는 것은 운동 수행자에게 극도의 희열감을 경험하게 함으로서 기존 체육의 외재성에서 찾을 수 없는 훌륭한 교재가 될 수 있음을 알게 되었다. 스포츠에서의 쾌락과 희락 그리고 열락으로 이어지는 자아실현 과정을 확인함으로서 이것들은 기존, 스포츠의 외재성에서는 불가능한 극도의 심리적인 희열감과 만족감을 체험할 수 있기에 체육교육에 적용할 경우, 현재보다 한층 더 높은 교육결과를 얻을 수 있으리라 기대된다. 더욱이 이 내재성과 기존의 외재성의 내용들을 잘 조화시킬 때, 체육교육에 어떤 상향적이고 바람직한 변화 가능성을 성취할 수 있다는 사실도 알게 되었다. 따라서 스포츠에 존재하는 이 내재성을 현재로서는 구체적으로 이론화, 형상화, 수치화하기에는 다소 어려움이 있지만 지금부터 지속적으로 스포츠의 내재성을 기존의 외재성과 함께 연구하여 그 결과내용을 적용시켜 나간다면 앞으로 체육교육에 큰 혁신적 변화가 일어날 것으로 기대된다. 그러므로 체육에서의 스포츠 내재성에 대한 활용 가능성은 매우 크며 시급히 적용되고 활용되어져야만 한다.

        퇴행성관절염 여성노인의 수중운동이 통증 감소와 우울에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 8weeks' water exercise on female elderly degenerative arthritis's pain and depression The subjects of this study were 40 female degenerative arthritis whose age are over 60. All subjects participated in water exercise program 2times a week, and for 60 minutes each. The water exercise program consists of walking, jogging and jumping in shallow and deep water. Before and after 8 weeks' water exercise program, pain(Visual Analogue Scale) and depression(Geriatric Depression Scale) w m measured. The statistical methods employed in this study were Friedman's ANOVA by ranks. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Before and after 8 weeks water exercise program, there is significant differences in pain (p<.01) 2. Between pre test of first water exercise program and pre test of last water exercise program, there is significant differences in pain.(p<.05) 3. Between post test of first water exercise program and post test of last water exercise program, there is no significant differences in pain. 4. Before and after 8 weeks' water exercise program, there is no significant differences in depression. In conclusion, the following points were drawn. Because water exercise is low or no impact exercise, water exercise reduce the pain of articulation loaded by exercise on the ground. Therefore water exercise can be regarded as an efficient and safe exercise for the elderly and degenerative arthritis.

        여성의 체성분 ( Body Composition ) 분석

        The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for exercise prescription, weight control and standard amount of body fat among Korean women with age 19 or above. For the purpose, we analysed the body composition of 430 female aged between 19 and 65 who live in Seoul metropolitan area and carry out normal daily life. For the measurement, we used $quot;Inbody 2.0$quot; made by Biospace Corporation(Seoul, Korea) which uses BIA as its measurement mechanism. In statistical analyses, we used SAS and calculated mean, maximum, minimum and standard deviation of the body composition variables for each age group. The significance of the difference between each age groups was tested via General Linear Models Procedure and a follow-up test using T tests(LSD)for each variables was added to this procedure. In both tests, a significance level of 5%(confidence level 95%) was adopted. The body composition variables used in this study consis of weight(kg), body fat mass(kg), muscle mass(kg), percent body fat(%), fat distribution and BMI. The body composition variables were used to assess the nutritive condition(protein, fat, mineral) and the upper - lower balance & right left balance. The analysis of body composition revealed that women in their 50s or older contained relatively high percentage of body fat and especially showed greater fat component in their abdomen. However, most women in their 20s turned out to be underweight in both fat, lean body mass and muscle mass. On the other hand. 27.9 percent of the subject were overweight. Noteworthy is the fact that 20.0 percent of the subject showed to have absolutely excessive amount of fat whereas much higher 50.5 percent have excessive ratio of $quot;fat/body weight$quot;. This indicates that lo body fat is a better scale to measure obesity. Without any change in body weight, the obesity may vary according to the proportion of body fat. Unless people do not exercise, they may lose their muscle with ageing(Foster Burns., S. Boyd(1999)., Travis, Shirley., All, Anita. C., Bernard, Marie(1999)). Therefore, those who do not exercise but are able to maintain their weight need to check their body composition to prevent obesity. The muscle component seems to vary with age. The under-muscle type who has less muscle compared to their body weight could be found mainly among the female in their 20s. Among the subject in their 30s, many turned out to be proportionate overweight, which implies that they have excessive amount of fat and may run into a health problem. Among the subject in their 20s frequently found is the under-muscle type and, furthermore, the under-muscle cases are rather evenly divided among underweight, normal weight and overweight. Also, among the proportionate type, the frequency of underweight were roughly similar to that of overweight. All these imply that we ought to throughly examine the reason of the complex phenomena so that we can properly teach the female on health, exercise and life style and prescribe exact fitness therapy for them(Girandola, R. N.,1976). The nutritious condition of the subject revealed that the female in their 20s has excessive fat in the body but lacks protein, which seems to have stemmed from a wrong diet. More importantly, we can find the deficiency in inorganic substance among the subject in their 50s or older. From this, the possibility of osteoporosis might be inferred. Out of the subject in their 20s, both lower limb infirmity and upper limb infirmity could be found and, in addition, unbalanced development between left and right side of the body was discovered. For these people, we need to identify the reason of infirmity or imbalance so that we can prescribe right fitness therapy. The finding of the study rings the alarm to the health of the female in their 20s. We need to throughly examine the factors that affect their health.

        여대생의 체격, 체력, 체성분과의 관계

        The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between different health-related physical fitness elements. Subjects were approximately 400 freshmen volunteers from a major women`s university in Korea. The variables in this study were: muscle strength, muscle endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, body composition, Each of the different physical fitness elements were compared individually to each of the other factors. There were various correlations between body composition and other factors. Surprisingly, the relationship between muscle mass and muscle strength was relatively weak. Body circumference possessed a relatively strong relationship to both fat mass and abdominal fat percentage, as expected. In the case of physical capability, flexibility proved to be unrelated to other factors including inter-limb flexibility. Flexibility in one limb didn`t guarantee flexibility on the other. There was a strong relationship between muscle strength in different areas of the body. Muscle endurance proved to be unrelated when performing push-ups or sit-ups. Overall, there was no relationship shown between muscle strength, flexibility, muscle endurance, or cardiovascular endurance.
