        To compare the configuration space in traditional gardens of Korea, China and Japan has important implications for understanding the differences and clarify the identity of our gardens and architecture. Korea, China, and Japan are all han-character culture country. Though they have very strong affinity on culture and thinking, the three gardens respectively show their own cultural characteristics of the countries. The most outstanding characteristic of a Korean garden is the composition well-attuned to nature, which not only respects the beautiful natural environment with high mountains and splendid streams but also incorporates the artificial. The Chinese garden is characterized by the epitomization of grand nature through imitation of natural scenes such as valleys, caves, and waterfalls, and creation of an environment that’s like an abode of immortality. What is characteristic of the Japanese garden is the emphasis on the beauty created through artificial composition of nature and artificial transformation of trees based on interpretation of nature from the perspective of Zen Buddhism. Specifically, it seeks an ideal combination of natural and artificial.

        Korean traditional house is a space that allows in communion with nature through the ambiguous internal and external boundary. The communion with nature can make people feel comfortable. Due to these advantages, Korean traditional house has an important meaning and value to the people. It is an important design issues in all of countries to reinvent modernized residential space containing the spirit of the Korean tradition. However, it does not support any suitable residential services to the modern people’s life style. Smart living with IT technology supports a better housing performance : lighting, ventilation and view based on Korean traditional window. From this point of view, the Korean traditional house is modernized by fusing the advantages of Korean traditional window and IT technologies. The purpose of this research is to develop an algorithm to control the various devices and windows (Deul-E-Yul-Gae) installed in the modernized Korean traditional house. In this research, we described the window open and close based on Arduino for comfort residential performance. This study attempted to derive ways of how to control indoor environment in modernized Korean traditional house. We emphasize that it can heal the body and spirit of residents with nature and provide the comfort residential performance.

        IT 기술을 활용한 독거노인 고독사 관리 서비스에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to suggest customized service for managing solitary death using lifelog of the elderly living alone. The use of the lifelog technology is due to the advantage of suggesting a personalized service by analyzing the current situation by searching the past experiences of the elderly living alone. The method of study is reviewing literature and previous studies and collecting and analyzing the lifelog information of elderly living alone. The results of the study are as follows. First, it examined the problem of solitary death of the elderly living alone and tried to grasp the problem of the service using the IT technology supported by the government. Second, the lifelog information of the elderly living alone A was collected for two weeks. And the daily patterns of elderly living alone were analyzed through lifelog interpretation. Third, we proposed and discussed the residents" personalized service for managing solitary death based on the lifelog of the elderly living alone. It is an advantage of this paper that it is possible to support customized services by analyzing the general behavior of the elderly living alone and the exceptional behavior in the housing. However, the limitation of this study is that it does not reflect more subjects with various characteristics.

        사회통합을 위한 도시 집합주택의 주거동 내 공유공간 계획특성에 관한 연구

        In order to overcome social exclusion and to integrate social housing, it is necessary to plan a communal space in urban collective housing so that residents can have belonging sense and community consciousness. In this study, it is necessary to consider the linkage between social integration and residential space, and to derive the characteristics of planning the collective housing for social integration. We analyzed the planning characteristics of MVRDV"s communal spaces of collective housing and suggested a method of planning communal spaces of urban collective housing for social integration. Urban density is an important tool and background for MVRDV"s design methodology. For this reason, MVRDV"s collective housing is selected as a case study in this study. As a result of case analysis, openness and connection characteristics should be considered by using various devices such as glass exterior, balcony, and void in planning the communal space in urban collective housing for social integration. However, since it has appeared in many cases, it can be criticized that the application of this is merely a logic. In other words, it is possible to suggest that we should actively introduce less accessible access. This problem should be solved through more case studies.

        고령자를 위한 부엌의 위험요소 관리 지능형 서비스

        To continue independent life in the elderly’s house, it is important for them to keep a familiar environment. However, safety hazards in the home have constantly increased due to dependence caused by aging of the elderly. Therefore, it is important to ensure safety of the elderly at home. Especially, there are many hazards in the kitchen such as fire, burns, suffocation, laceration, intrusion, gas accident, falls, energy waste, suffocation happened by food, excessive intake of calories/sodium, disease and memory loss. In above regards, this paper deals with hazards and smart services in the kitchen, according to the behavior of the elderly. This paper discusses on how to provide intelligent services to the elderly. This paper has suggested smart services of hazard management in the kitchen by three steps, based on the 12 derived smart services according to hazards: fire/gas accidents, external intrusion, fall/lacerations, health/illness. The smart services includes support fire/gas leak detection service, emergency call service, automatic ventilation service and emergency system service. In conclusion, this study argues that it should be provided according to the preferences of the elderly rather than all services required. Future research is required to develop control methods dealing with the elderly’s hazards and specific configuration of sensors and devices required.

        행위자 기반 모델을 활용한 노인요양시설의 피난 시뮬레이션 개발에 관한 연구

        The elderly nursing homes are vulnerable to evacuation in emergency situations such as fires. In elderly nursing homes, it is impossible for many elderly people to evacuate voluntarily without the help of staff. Therefore, it is very important to guide employees’ behaviors when evacuating. The micro simulation models are an alternative to represent the dynamics of pedestrians and their interactions between themselves and the environment. Agent-based simulation models have been used successfully to represent emergency evacuation. The purpose of this study is to develop an agent-based simulation model for evacuation that reflects the characteristics and behavior of occupants in elderly nursing homes. In this study, an agent-based evacuation simulation model was developed using AnyLogic software. The proposed simulation model was implemented as the behavioral logic of evacuating with the help of staff, considering the elderly who cannot evacuate themselves due to the characteristics of evacuation in elderly nursing homes. The agent-based evacuation simulation model proposed in this research reflects the specific role and behavior of the agent in the system, so it differs from the existing model in the process of interaction between occupants and group formation. This model can evaluate evacuation safety, and it is possible to propose an efficient evacuation behavior guideline by comparing and analyzing the conditions of various evacuation scenarios as a simulation model.

      • Trigger Point 자침 및 한방치료로 호전된 중풍후유증 환자의 견비통 치험 3례 보고

        This study was performed to investigate the effectiveness of trigger point needling and oriental medical treatment to shoulder pain patients in stroke sequelae with three aspects of pain and range of motion, muscle strength. Trigger point needling was applied to 3 patients on supraspinatus, infraspinatus, deltoid, subscapularis muscle. For evaluating treatment, visual analog scale(VAS), passive range of motion(PROM), muscle strength evaluation(MSE) were checked. After treatment, VAS score of 1 cases were decreased. PROM of 1 case was improved and MSE of 2 cases were improved slightly. These results suggest that trigger point needling and oriental medical treatment were effective on shoulder pain patients in stroke sequelae and it is necessary to research more case with shoulder pain in stroke sequelae.

        관원(關元)(CV4)에 온통구(溫筒灸)를 시술한 야뇨(夜尿) 환아(患兒) 5례 보고

        Objectives This study to investigate the effect of oriental medical treatment including moxa bucket moxibustion on children with nocturnal enuresis. Methods We treated five cases of enuretic children with oriental medical treatment like moxa bucket moxibustion on Gwanwon(CV4) at every cases and acupuncture, TDP, herbal medicine at some cases. To investigate relapse, we followed up by telephone at least about 3 months after the end of the therapy. Results After the treatment, the number of enuresis before and after the treatment were compared. The number was decreased by 67% or more all cases. Conclusions According to the result, oriental medical treatment including moxa bucket moxibustion is considered to be effective on the nocturnal enuresis and further study is needed with more cases.

        스테로이드제제 부작용을 동반한 만성 족부 한포진 치험 1례

        Backgrounds : Pompholyx is a distinctive reaction pattern presenting as symmetric vesicular hand and foot dermatitis. Other than acute symptoms like itching and vesicles, chronic changes with scaling, fissure and pain may follow. As patients are treated by steroid for a long period, it tends to present side effects after quitting steroid treatment. Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the effect of carbon arc lamp therapy and oriental medical therapy that venesection therapy, ointments and herbal medicine on chronic plantar pompholyx including steroids side effects. Methods : We treated one case of chronic plantar pompholyx which had continued about 10 years, including steroids side effects with venesection therapy, carbon arc lamp therapy, ointments and herbal medicine. To evaluate the results of this treatment, we categorized symptoms into six items which are vesicles, itching, fissures, pain, erosions and scales. Results : Except mild itching, vesicles and scales in a small area, all the symptoms were subsided. Conclusions : It is considered that various kinds of oriental medical therapy including carbon arc lamp therapy could replace steroid therapy which has many side effects.

        노화 단계별 고령자 행위 패턴 기반 부엌의 지능형 서비스 패턴

        The elderly feel discomfort in the kitchen due to aging. To solve these problems, this study suggests smart service patterns considering the aging steps of the elderly in the kitchen. Behavior pattern of the elderly is important to suggest these smart service patterns. Therefore, the suggested service patterns based on the behavior patterns of the elderly in the kitchen are classified by the period of independence, semi-dependence, and fully dependence. In period of full independence, the smart services of the kitchen are needed in more types and dependency. The results of this study were as follows ; 1)The service pattern of SV1 is Fire/gas leak detection→temperature/humidity control→healthcare/emergency system→convenience service. This pattern is aimed at solving potential problems that may occur during cook and having a meal. 2)The service pattern of SV4 is temperature/humidity control→lighting control→healthcare, medical examination→emergency call→smart mirror→remote conversation service. This pattern offers entertainment and leisure for the elderly individuals in order to relieve loneliness. 3)The service pattern of SV6 is emergency system→heating water/ventilation control→smart furniture→healthcare, medical examination→emergency call→temperature/humidity/lighting control→remote control/time. This pattern offers healthcare and controls the interior environmental conditions. This study implies a new perspective to design smart kitchen that would encompass security, healthy, convenience for the elderly.
