The value of information (VOI) is the value of additional information, as a quantitative estimate which presents the result as a monetary value. The VOI helps to make decisions under uncertainty. The importance of VOI is growing due to the increase of early market approval of new technologies. The theoretical framework of VOI is based on the Bayesian decision theory. VOI analysis estimates the expected costs associated with making a wrong decision due to uncertainty. This implies that a new information is more valuable when a VOI is large. There are parametric and nonparametric methods to estimate VOIs and non-parametric methods are commonly used. To estimate VOI, a non-parametric method calculates the difference of potential values between decision with perfect information and decision under uncertainty. The decision to conduct a new research is made when the population VOI estimate is larger than the expected cost of conducting the additional research. There are three key measurements in VOI. The expected value of perfect information (EVPI) is perfect information for the whole parameters, the expected value of perfect parameter information (EVPPI) is perfect information for a parameter or a set of parameters, and the expected value of sample information (EVSI) provides information of new study design. VOI analysis may require a lot of computational time but efficient software programs have been introduced.
미분과 확률 단원에 대한 고등학교 문·이과 특성 학생들의 특정 연구

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the characteristics of high school students in the Liberal Arts and Natural Science departments. In particular, we shall focus on their perceptions about the contents of Differentiation and Probability. For this purpose, we investigate the perception of 150 second-year high school students in Cheong-ju using a survey method. The survey results show that high school students in Liberal Arts department tend to have more positive view about the Probability, and negative view about the Differentiation. In contrast, those in Natural Science department tend to favor the Differentiation over the Probability. Second, we compare and analyze the factors that influence the different perceptions of students in these two departments. We classify these factors into four categories: motivation for learning, understanding of the concepts, learning process, and academic performance. The results show that understanding of the concept and the learning process have the biggest impact on the perception of students. Compared to students in Natural Science department, those in Liberal Arts department favor the concrete and empirical concepts over the abstract concepts. On the other hand, students in the Natural Science department are good at processing abstract concepts and conceptualizing ideas at the high level.

By developing the gantry automation system to improve the productivity of fuel filter manufacturing process based on information and communication technology. The monitoring system of manufacturing process plays an important role in analyzing the defective parts as well as improving the production yield rate. The experimental results of 3 months with 10000 samples validate that the error rate is decreased from 0.65 % to 0.45 %. Also, the defect of raw material is decreased via monitoring of material tools which can notify the time for replacement and accurate insertion of raw materials to the loader. The productivity is increased by reducing the process time from 94.7 sec to 78.8 sec per raw material through comparing the whole manufacturing courses : from inserting of raw material to outcome of product. The process time is decreased by 20.2 % by automation of inserting and outcome course. Moreover, safety of worker as well as reduction of transfer time are highly related with increase of productivity.

본 연구는 소형 차량용 보링 부품 공정에서 기계적인 에러를 체크하기 위한 품질 체크용 모니터링 시스템을 개발한다. 기계적인 에러 해석을 통해 자동화 모니터링 및 실제 절단경로의 공간위치를 설정하여 설계한다. 제조공정 제품의 오차를 모니터하기 위해 제품의 인지왜곡, 죄임 에러, 기계공구의 회전과 운동에러의 반경회전과 같이 보링 품질에 영향을 미치는 다수 파라미터 요소들을 발굴한다. 생산품질을 입증하기 위해 IT 융합에 기반한 공정 에러율을 분석하고 분석데이터를 메모리에 저장하는 품질체크알고리즘을 제안한다. 따라서 불량 생산 제품을 감지함으로써, 생산 코스트와 베어링의 손실을 줄일 수 있다.

옷 입은 상태에서도 협소한 회음부 공간에 제품을 위치시켜 부담 없이 저주파자극치료를 할 수 있는 배변배뇨장애 치료용 스마트 헬스케어 시스템을 개발한다. 이 시스템은 사용자 골반저근의 수축력을 감지하여 스마트폰 엔터테인먼트앱과 연동되도록 함으로써, 사용자가 거부감 없이 능동적 운동치료를 병행할 수 있는 배변배뇨장애 치료를 위한 스마트 헬스케어장치이다. 바이오피드백을 통한 운동 과정은 모니터링 할 수 있고, 측정된 데이터를 메모리에 저장함으로써 근육강화 훈련의 향상을 비교평가 할 수 있다. 또한 시제품의 전자파 방사 및 성능에 관한 시험을 통해 안전성을 확보한다.

By developing the method of vacuum infusion construction on based on the boat manufacturing convergence system, which can be obtained for the safety and quality advancement of the boat. Especially, the precise mixing rate of resinoid and curingagent to inject in an inner ship and deck at short time is very important, which are the best fundamental conditions to decide the stronger boat in the water. So, in this paper, we propose the method of the vacuum infusion construction that applicable for the optimal condition to make a strengthen boat bottom by several components. This one can solve the post deformability of the strengthen structure and can control the precise mixing rate of resinoid and curingagent to the resinoid fluidity and flowing rate per time. Clinical trials and studies clearly establish the link between dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease(CHD). Lowering serum cholesterol levels has been shown to decrease the mortality and morbidity to CHD. The objective of this study was to evaluate drug use of hypolipidemic agents by NCEP Ⅱ guideline and to assess difference of efficacy among patient groups by CHD risk level by treatment group. In this retrospective study, patients taking hypolipidemic agent for at least 3 months were included among the adult patients with dyslipidemia who received hypolipidemic agent for the first time between June 1, 1999 and March 31, 2000. Evaluated agents were simvastatin, lovastatin, gemfibrozil, fenofibrate and acipimox. The effect on change of LDL cholesterol among groups by CHD risk level was not significant(p=0.1). Effect on lipid changes between simvastatin and lovastatin was not significant for LDL-C, HDL-C and TG(p=0.9, p=0.06, p=0.89, respectively). Effect on lipid changes between gemfibrozil and fenofibrate was not significant for LDL, HDL and TG(p=0.89, p=0.15, p=0.39, respectively).
