Paraovarian cysts arise in the mesosalpinx, between the ovarian hilum and the fallopian tube. Clinical significance of paraovarian tumors is considerably less frequent than ovarian tumors, and malignant paraovarian lesions are exceedingly rare. Paraovarian carcinomas or borderline malignancy mostly occur in young women. Abdominal enlargement and pelvic pain are the usual complaints. Usually they have a capsule, are unilateral and are connected to the broad ligament. Little is known about the biological behavior of the paraovarian borderline malignancies, since these lesions are so rare. The appropriate therapy for this unusual lesion have not been fully defined. We had experienced a case of papillary serous adenocarcinoma of borderline malignancy and report this case with a brief review of literature.

목적: 자궁내막암 환자 98예의 임상병리학적 예후인자들과 생존율과의 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 1995년 1월부터 2000년 12월까지 고신대학교 복음병원 산부인과에서 자궁내막암으로 치료를 받은 98명의 환자의 의무 기록을 분석하였고 통계청 자료를 통해 환자의 생존 여부를 조사하였다. 각 예후인자와 생존율과의 관계에 대하여 단변량 분석을 시행하였고 이들 인자사이에는 다변량 분석을 시행하였다. 결과: 총 98예 자궁내막암 환자의 평균 연령은 Objective: This study was performed to evaluate the clinicopathologic prognostic factors and overall survival in patients with uterine endometrial cancer. 자궁의 평활근종은 가임기 여성의 가장 흔한 생식기 종양이나 자궁경부의 평활근종은 드문 것으로 알려져 있으며 대체로 크기가 작기 때문에 임상증상은 없는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 드물게 자궁경부근종에 크기가 큰 경우에는 비뇨기계의 문제를 일으키고 이차적인 변성을 초래하거나 월경과다가 동반되기도 한다. 자궁경부에 발생하는 평활근종은 크고 골반과 밀착되어 있는 경우 간혹 수술이 힘들고 요관이나 방광손상을 일으킬 수도 있으므로 주의해야 하나 환자의 나이, 임신, 악성화 변성 가능성과 본인의 자궁보전 의사 등을 고려하여 적절한 치료를 하면 될 것으로 사료된다. 최근 저자들은 월경과다를 동반한 거대 자궁경부근종 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. The leiomyoma of uterine body is the most common benign genital tumor in woman of reproductive age but occurs uncommonly in the uterine ecrvix. Cervical leiomyoma is rarely clinically significant except their complications including pressure effects on the bladder or ureter, degenerative phenomena and menorrhagia. Recently we experienced a case of leiomyoma arising in the endocervix and concomitant menorrhagia, so we report this case with a brief review of literature.

The antepartum death of one fetus in twin pregnancy is a rare obstetric complication. One fetal demise of twin pregnancy in the second or third trimester is an unusual and difficult problem in the management of pregnancy. It can be associated with an increased risk for mortality and morbidity in the remaining fetus and with maternal DIC(Disseminated intravascular coagulation). If one fetus in twin pregnancy died in uterus remote from term and another fetus did not, the dead fetus will be compressed between the uterine wall and the membrane of living fetus, becomes a fetus compress or fetus papyraceous. Concern for the surviving fetus after death of its co-twin is balanced between the risk of preterm birth and those involving exposure to events in uterus that may threaten its well-being. Recently we experienced a case of twin pregnancy complicated by the death of one fetus. We represent a case in diamnionic monochorionic twin pregnancy with a brief review of literatures.
