        코스닥 상장 제조업과 서비스업 기업의 디자인 활용 인식에 대한 연구

        This study aims to investigate how perspectives on design utilization impact on corporation performance. In detail, this paper intends to identify perspectives of manufacturing and service corporations listed on KOSDAQ, and how their perspectives’ impact on corporate growth and the operation of design departments. 654 manufacturing corporations and 181 service corporations listed on the KOSDAQ were categorized. Then, content analysis was undertaken after collecting data regarding perspectives on design utilization from corporate websites and disclosure materials. Along with this, information was gathered on total sales (2014~2014), numbers of employees, operation of design departments. From the results of the analysis (t-test, chi square test, logit regression and multiple regression), and a comparison of manufacturing and service corporations, Theme 1 (customer-centred design), scoring in service corporations, and Theme 2 (cultural development for design), scoring in manufacturing corporations, were comparatively higher. Even though service corporations account for a higher proportion of the operation of a design department, corporations in both industries accounted for a low rate of operation for design departments. This implies that they perceive design as an external function.

        그래픽디자인 보호를 위한 디자인보호법 문헌연구 - 성립요건과 등록요건을 중심으로 -

        In this study, it is determined that the `design definition` of the design field does not include the design definition of graphic design. From a design specialist`s perspective, it seeks ways to add opinions to the Design Protection Act. Through the research on literature studies and precedents, the goal of this study is drawing a conclusion of the difference between actual graphic design and `design definition` in terms of application at a trial, as well as proposing what elements need to be considered. Firstly, to do so, elements that compose of the definition of graphic design are reasoned out through the coding for qualitative research on the last five years of graphic design related literatures. Seven elements in total are applied to the frame that defines graphic design is structured. The subject of content analysis is 34 cases related to two dimensional graphic design. Lastly, interviews that deal with experts` views on the content of the study and the outcome of analysis is conducted. Through the analysis of this study, it is found that the `design definition`` of the design field does not include `functionality` and `professionality.` In other words, the following awareness needs to be raised: (1) graphic design is not limited to products by which it is applied, and (2) it is one independent professional filed of design.

        반려동물 사별에 따른 지속비애 예방을 위한 서비스 디자인 제안

        As the number of households raising pets continues to increase, the need for bereavement preparation, which inevitably comes with pet ownership, has emerged. However, there is a lack of services to support this need. Therefore, this study aims to propose a service that assists pet owners in their proper mourning process through systematic bereavement preparation and prevents the experience of prolonged grief. Through literature research, the characteristics of the grieving process, prolonged grief, and the factors influencing prolonged grief when a pet is lost were analyzed. In-depth interviews were conducted with individuals who have experienced the loss of a pet to analyze the stages of grief and identify their main needs. Based on the analysis of these interviews, service concepts and core features were derived, proposing four key functionalities: ‘Recording daily life with your pet’, ‘Engaging in interactive activities with your pet’, ‘Recalling memories with your pet’, and ‘Writing a letter to your pet’. The service concept and core functions were validated through feedback from pet owners, confirming the necessity of the service and identifying areas for improvement. This study is significant in its integration of the pre- and post-grief experiences of pet owners, providing systematic bereavement preparation to facilitate an appropriate mourning process and prevent prolonged grief. Building on the direction of the study to offer a more fundamental solution to the loss and prolonged grief experienced by pet owners after the loss of a pet, we hope for the continued development of diverse services in the future.

        커뮤니티 디자인을 통한 문화 관광 형 전통시장의 활성화를 위한 기초조사 : 경동시장을 중심으로

        정부지원 육성사업의 일환인 전통시장 활성화 지원 사업은 시설 현대화사업의 예산이 월등하게 높은 비중으로 추진 되었지만 하드웨어적인 시설기반만으로는 전통시장의 근본적인 경쟁력 강화에 한계가 있다고 한다. 조사 자료에 의하면 지원 대상으로 선정된 전통시장들의 직접적인 활성화 영향이나 매출의 성과는 미흡하다는 평가를 받고 있다. 이러한 전통시장에 대한 현대화 시설의 지원과 같이 특정시설이나 유통기능 개선만으로 상권의 활성화로 연결되기 어렵다는 결과를 산출하고 있다. 본 연구는 소프트웨어적인 개발의 변화가 지속적인 경쟁력 강화에 도움이 될 것이라는 관점에서 접근하였다. 시장과 주변상권에 대한 기반 인프라를 구축 할 수 있는 커뮤니티 디자인의 활용으로 관계 확장을 한다면 지역사회의 사업 확장으로 지역경제의 활성화까지 기대 해 볼 수 있다. 본론에서는 현재 정부 지원 사업인 문화 관광 형 시장육성사업을 확대하여 전통시장 주변 환경의 역사와 문화 콘텐츠를 개발하고 연계 할 수 있는 방안을 모색 하고 조사, 연구 하였다. 시장과 지역의 특색을 개발 할 수 있도록 지역주민과 전문가의 참여는 새로운 관계의 확장으로 이어지며, 지역사회사업의 특성화를 높이고 효과를 극대화 할 수 있다. 시범적으로 경동시장을 조사 대상으로 선정하여 소비자 의식조사를 현장에서 설문조사로 실시하였다. 이러한 커뮤니티 디자인을 통한 경제 환경과 문화 환경의 결합은 전통시장의 활성화와 지역 재생에 활력까지 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대 해 본다. The government-sponsored support project for revitalizing the traditional market, which is part of the government-funded land project, has been pushed for with an unusually high percentage of the facility modernization project, but the hardware infrastructure alone has limited the fundamental competitiveness of the traditional market. Traditional markets selected for support or sales performance is assessed to be insufficient, and the result is that improvement in specific facilities or distribution functions alone, such as support of modern facilities for traditional markets, will not be possible. This study approached from the point of view that a change in software development would help to strengthen the continuous competitiveness. If we expand our relationship by utilizing a community design that can build an infrastructure for the market and its surrounding businesses, we will look forward to the revitalization of the local economy by expanding the business of the community. The main paper explored and researched ways to develop and link the history and cultural contents of the environment surrounding traditional markets by expanding the market development project, which is currently a government-funded project. In order to develop market and regional characteristics, the participation of local residents and experts leads to the expansion of new relationships, and can enhance the characterization of local company business and maximize the effect. As a pilot, the Gyeongdong Market was selected as the target for the survey and the consumer awareness survey for cultural and tourism was conducted as a field survey. It is hoped that this combination of economic and cultural environments through community design will energize local regeneration.

        스타트업에서의 디자인 역할 인식과 활용에 관한 연구

        Currently, there has been an increased awareness of the value of design due to a success of a startup company of which one of the co-founders used to be a designer. Therefore, this study was intended to explore a level of awareness of design among startup CEOs or employees and the current situations of design utilization according to their awareness. Furthermore, I suggest possible implications on how to foster and utilize design in startups through investigating what specific elements affect design utilization. As methods of this study, questionnaire was composed in two parts into the design awareness and utilization based on previous literature. Surveys were carried out targeting startup CEOs and its employees. As a result, it turned out that among a number of elements on startups` awareness there was the highest awareness of design`s roles, while the lowest awareness was on design innovation. In the case of utilization, overall, design was not being practically utilized despite the relatively higher design minds among CEOs. Moreover, it was seen that CEO`s design mind-sets affected his/her whole startup company according to a regression analysis conducted to examine a level of design awareness and affecting factors to design utilization.

        사용성 향상을 위한 공공 신고앱 긴급신고버튼 분석 - 어포던스 이론 측면에서 -

        Since people seeking a faster lifestyle and use of smart phones have been increasing, the government has also launched various report apps as a countermeasure for safety accidents. However, most report button's usability is low and this interferes with prompt report. In this situation, it is necessary to study for the report button which induces a user's correct action. Focusing on the emergency report button, this study explains which elements help the user quickly recognize and press the button in terms of affordance theory. First, we classify the elements of the button into a cognitive and a physical affordance. And then, we draw out important points of each element through related preceding thesis and established a framework for emergency report button design. We analyzed seven cases of public report app with the framework. Specifically choosing one of them(119 report app), we developed the button design by reflecting the problem and improvement plan through usability test of five UI·UX experts. We measured the execution time and the number of errors for existing button and improved button, and finally verified through T-test for 40 people to prove if the improved button affects actual usability improvement and proved the improvement.

        사회적 메시지 광고에서 모델 이미지 타입이 수용자 성별에 따른 감정이입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 생물학적 성과 사회심리적 성을 조절변수로 -

        This study aims to investigate whether the model image of gender as an image element in the product advertisement with social message has empathy and interaction effect depending on gender of audience. For this study, the gender and the number of models in photographs, two of which are the main factors, affecting the empathy of the audience were selected as the independent variables among the numerous visual image elements included in the print advertisement. A survey was also conducted on empathy with sex (defined by biology) and gender (defined by socio-psychological) as the moderating variables. To sum up, it would be effective to create print ads featuring male and female models separately in order to increase the level of empathy in consumers via social message. It can be also deduced that the appearance of multiple models would be effective to increase the empathy level in male audiences. This study is meaningful to attempt to investigate visual image elements of print ads and to quantify consumer`s feelings regarding design.

        서비스디자인 활용에 관한 내용분석 연구 - 한국과 영국의 뉴스 기사를 중심으로 -

        Background Service design has grown rapidly over a short period of time as countries and businesses begin to recognize the importance of the ‘Making service from the economy', and its utilization categories are also becoming highly diverse. Consideration of user and human-centric values as a result of the development of the service is also being expressed across society, industry and the public sector. It is necessary to consider and study the actual phenomena in this process of change objectively, and to suggest implications for future developments. Therefore, this study aims to identify the utilization category of domestic service design by analyzing the contents of service design used in news articles that recorded the fact objectively, and to expand it with a comparison with British news articles. Methods This study examines and compares the content of articles on the use of service design in the U.K. and Korea considered highly developed countries to explore the use of 'service design' in both industrial and public design areas. For analysis of the contents of the article, news articles were collected on the utilization of the service design from 2010 to 2016, when the service design started to be activated in Korea and in the United Kingdom. The contents of the service design use article were analyzed to extract the details of the use cases that are published in the report and the details of the application, approach, introduction, plans, and new processes according to the topic of news. Result According to a local article, the utilization of service designs is relatively higher in industry than in public design. Frequency was also measured high in manufacturing and education sectors. In a qualitative comparison of the news content, the Korean articles tend to explain the importance of the final product itself, but the British articles show the importance of the use of the service design in its products. Conclusion Among the sub-categories in the field of public design, articles on health, welfare and social participation are relatively more limited in the use of domestic service design. Consequently, it is necessary to develop a service design case in the field of public design. In addition, in case of considering domestic part, it is necessary to study the expanded role of the service design in making values and experiences, rather than focusing on a product, and how to communicate its usability.
