A crude urinary protein concentrate was prepared by treating human urine with amrnonium sulfate, and was found to be active in hydrolyzing the synthetic substrate, r-glutamyl-p-nitroanilide. The hydrolytic activity of the urine enzyme was most efficient at pH 8.5 in tris buffer in the presence of glycylglycine as a r-glutamyl acceptor. L-Glutamine and L-methionine also acted as a r-glutamyl acceptor, but L-glutamic acid, L-arginine, glycine, L-valine, L-aspartic acid, and L-homoserine inhibited the enzyme, suggesting that these amino acids do not act as r-glutamyl acceptors. The enzyme was markedly inhibited by bromosulfophthalein, oxidized glutathione, and by L-serine in the presence of borate, the inhibition being more marked than is the cage with human serum and rat kidney enzymes. L mike rat kidney enzymes, the urine enzyme did not show phosphate-independent and maleate-stimulated glutaminase activity. The urinary enzyme activity was not correlated with the serum enzyme activity in various disease entities such as liver disease, kidney and urinary tract infections, and others.

A bioequivalence study of the Loxipen tablets (Dae Wha Pharmaceutical Co., Korea) to the Loxonin tablets (Dong Hwa Pharmaceutical Co., Korea), formulations of sodium loxoprofen anhydrous 60㎎, was conducted. Sixteen healthy Korean male subjects received each formulation at the dose of 60㎎ as sodium loxoprofen anhydrous in a 2×2 crossover study. There was a 2-week washout period between the dose. Plasma concentrations of loxoprofen were monitored by an HPLC method for over a period of 6 h after each administration. AUC (area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to infinity) was calculated by the linear trapezoidal and extrapolation method. C_(max) (maximum plasma drug concentration) and T_(max) (time to reach C_(max)) were compiled from the plasma drug concentration-time data. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) revealed that there are no differences in AUC, C_(max) and T_(max) between the formulations. The apparent differences between the formulations in these parameters were all far less than 20% (i.e., 5.88, 7.81 and 6.09% for AUC, C_(max) and T_(max), respectively). Minimum detectable differences (%) at α=0.1 and 1-β=0.8 were all less than 20% difference in these parameters between the formulations were all over 0.8 (i.e., 15.81, 13.13 and 19.85 for AUC, C_(max) and T_(max), respectively). The 90% confidence intervals for these parameters were also within ±20% (i.e., -16.52∼4.77, -16.65∼1.02 and -19.45∼7.28% for AUC, C_(max) and T_(max), respectively). These results satisfy the bioequivalence criteria of the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) guidelines (No. 98-51). Therefore, these results indicate that the 2 formulations of loxoprofen are bioequivalent and, thus, may be prescribed interchangeably.

This study examines the behavior of online agricultural content consumption by looking at the case of FARM board which launched its service in April 2017 through Korea s biggest web portal Naver . The FARM board is Korea s largest agricultural content platform in size, which has surpassed 1.3 million followers as of July 2017. The average number of visitors per day is around 150,000. Looking at the FARM board, this study seeks to identify the main target audience group and identify the preference of agriculture contents consumed by the target audience. The study found that 30-49 year-old women were most interested in subscribing to FARM board. They recorded 43.68 percent of the total user population. Content most widely consumed were topics related to consumer foods. This study proposes strategies which can effectively promote agriculture policies that can be applied by public agencies such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affair and Rural Development Administration and so on. Individual farmers and business entities can also utilize online contents to explore strategies for more efficient marketing of their Goods ans services. The research utilizes many in-depth analysis and survey results conducted by FARM Board as well as in-depth interviews of 15 people including current farmers.
