S3D 영화의 서사 기법에 관한 연구-<아바타>, <크리스마스 캐롤>, <드래곤 길들이기>, <코렐라인>을 중심으로

영화를 보면서 현실과 같은 감각을 느끼도록 고안된 것이 S3D 영화이다. 서사의 구성 요소인 공간적 배경, 캐릭터, 갈등 등에 ‘입체 값(depth)’이 매겨진 영화를 보면서 관객들은 ‘실재감(實在感, the presence)’을 느낀다. S3D 영화만이 갖는 서사적 특징으로 먼저 공감각의 극대화를 들 수 있다. 공간이 ‘여기’와 ‘저기’로 변화하고 확장된다. <아바타>와 <크리스마스 캐롤>, <드래곤 길들이기>, <코렐라인>을 보면 모두 ‘여기’와 ‘저기’라는 두 공간이 뚜렷하게 대비된다. 공감각의 극대화를 위한 또 다른 방법으로 ‘레이어’(layer)를 배치하고 구성해 놓은 것이다. <크리스마스 캐롤>의 오프닝 장면에 카메라가 하늘에서 도시를 부감하다가 속도의 완급과 앵글을 다양하게 조절하면서 건물과 거리의 인물들이 있는 도시 공간 내부로 이동한다. 이 장면에 레이어를 많이 둠으로써 관객으로 하여금 공감각을 느끼도록 한다. 그리고 등장인물이 공간 이동을 한다. <아바타>, <크리스마스 캐롤> 등에서 등장인물이 공간을 이동하는 장면이 나온다. 큰 터널을 지나 가 새로운 세계로 들어가는 모습은 새로운 세계로의 진입을 실감 있게 느끼도록 한다. 이와 같은 공간 설정과 공간 이동과 같은 서사적 구성이 관객에게 공감각을 주어 실재감을 갖게 한다. 인물 캐릭터를 형상화하는 데 있어서 선한 캐릭터는 ‘포지티브 시차’(positive parallax), 악한 캐릭터는 ‘네거티브 시차’(negative parallax)로 되어 있지만, 이것이 일반화되어 있지는 않다. 분명한 것은 선한 캐릭터와 악한 캐릭터의 ‘입체 값(depth)’은 서로 반대되도록 매겨 있다는 점이다. 그리고 한 캐릭터에 매겨진 입체 값이 서사 내에서 변화하지 않는다. 인물들이 갈등을 겪는 상황에서도 입체 값을 사용하였다. <드래곤 길들이기>는 하나의 플롯과 두 개의 서브플롯으로 구성되어 있다. 이때 메인플롯은 드래곤과 인간이 대립하는 ‘외적 갈등’이고, 서브플롯은 주인공 ‘히캅’이 자신의 신체적, 정신적 결함을 넘어서야 하는 ‘내적 갈등’이다. 이런 갈등 관계에 대해서도 입체 값을 서로 대비되도록 해 놓았다. 이것은 심리적 갈등을 감각적으로 느끼도록 하기 위해서다. S3D 영화가 현실과 같은 실재감을 갖도록 온갖 서사 구성 요소들을 사용하였고, 비 서사적인 색채나 사운드도 최대한 활용하였다. <아바타>처럼 지구인이 사는 곳이 기계와 비행선 소리와 같은 음향으로 되어 있는 데 비해 ‘나비 족’이 있는 세계는 새와 풀벌레 소리가 나는 자연의 음향으로 되어 있다. 이처럼 서로 대비되는 음향 및 사운드가 두 공간에 대한 인식을 감각적으로 느끼도록 해 놓았다. 본 연구는 서사를 중심으로 S3D 영화의 실재감을 규명한 점에서 의의가 있다. 입체 값이 서사의 구성 요소들에 사용되어 S3D 영화의 특징을 잘 드러냄을 알 수 있었다. S3D 영화란 어디까지나 잘 만들어진 스토리일 뿐만 아니라 몰입형 스토리텔링을 효과적으로 드러내는 영상 예술이라는 것을 잊지 말아야할 것이다. 본 연구가 향후 S3D 영화의 시나리오 창작에 도움을 주고, 촬영과 편집에도 사용될 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

]The world that he wants to show us in his literary works is writing. His writing embodies the yearning for his mother. As this meaning of 'Mother' is the ground and the origin of his existence, writing is the recognition of his existence. Thus, his writing is an organic body which is alive and breathe by itself. In other words, writing and his existence are in the same line. From modernism to translation to realism, in those moves and interrelation, he is always conscious of the fact that 'writing' is the recognition of his existence. To write under the physically extreme situation, that act itself proves and verifies that the writer's being is alive. Under the understanding of the fact that his writing is the reason for his being, the realism novels based on socialistic ideology and his support for the constitution of the North-Korean regime doesn't matter to him. Ethics intends to the truth and the permanency that never changes at all. Even though the color of his writing is red or blue, his will to write under those circumstances means his writing itself is the ultimate cause which he intends to in this world and that is the truth and the permanency never changed.

In patients with Tourette's syndrome, a tic occurs when Mu wave synchronization is broken. Conversely, when Mu wave synchronization is achieved, a tick does not occur. When the tic is suppressed, the cognitive control response process is changed, and if the neurofeedback training that adjusts the EEG frequency power is performed with the changed, the patient will be treated autonomously without artificially suppressing the tic. The results of the research test suggest that if the tic patient does not artificially synchronize mu waves in the premotor cortex (Frontal Cortical 3 site), and if EEG control is performed autonomously like neurofeedback training, as a result, tics do not occur. Cognitive control response processes are altered when a subject is inhibited from tics. By training the altered cognitive control with neurofeedback that modulates EEG frequency power, the patient can be treated autonomously without artificially suppressing the tic.Mu-wave synchronizationcan now be added to existing neurofeedback treatment protocols such as SMR reinforcement, theta-beta-wave imbalance correction, and alpha-wave reinforcement. This study will be used in follow-up studies and clinical trials to more scientifically verify the neurofeedback treatment protocol, a treatment for patients with Tourette's syndrome.

Yeom, Sang Seob is the writer who had spent his early life in Chosun dynasty which had been ruled by confucian customs and culture and also had experienced the modern culture in Japan where he had studied. In that experiences, his circumstances, facing the difference between feudalism and modernism made him concentrate on his existence. And even under the state when confrontation of the feudalism and modernism emerged as the realities of the nation should deal with, he couldn't help being in agony where he should be based on. Even though his usual life was operated by the confucian system which rooted in his early life, the modern science which he learnt in Japan made him deny and reject his ordinary life. Under the ironical situation, he had no choice but to worry about what he balanced himself of his existence. To overcome this hard situation, he put his step into the world of literature.
