      • Facile synthesis of nickel-based coordination polymer and nickel oxide microparticles employed for urea biosensor

        Nickel-based coordination polymer particles (NiCPPs) were successfully synthesized through a facile two-step-heating process under the assistance of monodentate ligands functioning as modulators. High degree of morphological uniformity and size controllability of NiCPPs based on the variety of modulators were confirmed by SEM images. The resultant coordination polymer particles were then calcinated at a controlled temperature to produce nickel oxide particles (NiOs) with high degree of crystallinity. The BET data of the corresponding nickel oxide particles, moreover, shows a high specific surface area of 100 m2/g. The as-prepared NiO microparticles were successfully deposited onto an indium tin oxide (ITO) employed as electrodes for urea sensor. The prepared electrode achieves an excellent urea sensitivity and linear relationship between current and urea concentrations with short response time.

        기업 보안에서의 ESG경영과 재무성과에 관한 연구

        With increases of interests in corporate’s social responsibility, Korean Government presents new Korean-style evaluation items of ESG indicators emphasizing environment, social, and governance. New guideline recommends to evaluate various ESG activities of companies, such as information security and personal information protection issues included in social evaluation items. Many companies are making significant investments in activities to raise the ESG indicators. In order for corporate investment in ESG activities to be sustainable, it must also have a positive effect on corporate performance. This study analyzed the impact of companies' ESG investment activities on corporate performance in consideration of the social and economic environment that is gradually recovering after COVID_19. 기업의 사회적 책임에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 환경(Environment), 사회(Social), 지배구조(Governance)를 강조하는 ESG 지표의 한국형 평가항목들이 새로이 제시되었다. 정보보안과 개인정보 보호 문제가 사회적 평가항목에 포함되는 등 기업의 다양한 ESG 활동이 평가되고 있으며, 개별 기업은 해당 지표를 높이기 위한 활동에상당한 투자를 진행하고 있다. 기업의 ESG 활동에 대한 투자가 지속 가능하기 위해서는 해당 투자의 결과가 ESG 지표의 향상에 그치는 것이 아니라 기업의 실적에도긍정적인 영향으로 나타나야만 할 것이다. 본 연구는 COVID_19 이후 점차 회복되고 있는 사회적, 경제적 환경을 고려하여 기업의 ESG 투자 활동이 기업 실적에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다.

        지리정보시스템(GIS) 및 존재인구를 이용한 초미세먼지(PM2.5) 노출평가

        Background: The concentration of air pollutants as measured by the Air Quality Monitoring System (AQMS) is not an accurate population exposure level since actual human activities and temporal and spatial variability need to be considered. Therefore, to increase the accuracy of exposure assessment, the population should be considered. However, it is difficult to obtain population data due to limitations such as personal information. Objectives: The existing population defined in this study is the number of people in each region's grid. The purpose is to provide a methodology for evaluating exposure to PM2.5 through existing population data provided by the National Geographic Information Institute. Methods: The selected study period was from October 26 to October 28, 2021. Using PM2.5 concentration data measured at the Sensor-based Air Monitoring Station (SAMS) installed in Guro-gu and Wonju-si, the concentration for each grid was estimated by applying inverse distance weights through QGIS version 3.22. Considering the existing population, population-weighted average concentration (PWAC) was calculated and the exposure level of the population was compared by region. Results: The outdoor PM2.5 concentration as measured through the SAMS was high in Wonju-si on all three days. Wonju-si showed an average 22% higher PWAC than Guro-gu. As a result of comparing the PWAC and outdoor PM2.5 concentration by region, the PWAC in Guro-gu was 1~2% higher than the observed value, but it was almost the same. Conversely, observations of Wonju-si were 10.1%, 11.3%, and 8.2% higher than PWAC. Conclusions: It is expected that the Geographic Information System (GIS) method and the existing population will be used to evaluate the exposure level of a population with a narrow activity radius in further research. In addition, based on this study, it is judged that research on exposure to environmental pollutants and risk assessment methods should be expanded.

        인구 유동에 따른 서울시 대기 중 초미세먼지 농도 변화 요인 분석 및 노출평가

        Background: People’s activities have been restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes in activity patterns may lead to a decrease in fine particulate matter (PM2.5) concentrations. Additionally, the level of population exposure to PM2.5 may be changed. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the impact of population movement and meteorological factors on the distribution of PM2.5 concentrations before and after the outbreak of COVID-19. Methods: The study area was Guro-gu in Seoul. The research period was selected as January to March 2020, a period of significant population movement changes caused by COVID-19. The evaluation of the dynamic population was conducted by calculating the absolute difference in population numbers between consecutive hours and comparing them to determine the daily average. Ambient PM2.5 concentrations were estimated for each grid using ordinary kriging in Python. For the population exposure assessment, the populationweighted average concentration was calculated by determining the indoor to outdoor population for each grid and applying the indoor to outdoor ratio to the ambient PM2.5 concentration. To assess the factors influencing changes in the ambient PM2.5 concentration, a statistical analysis was conducted, incorporating population mobility and meteorological factors. Results: Through statistical analysis, the correlation between ambient PM2.5 concentration and population movement was positive on both weekends and weekdays (r=0.71, r=0.266). The results confirmed that most of the relationships were positive, suggesting that a decrease in human activity can lead to a decrease in PM2.5 concentrations. In addition, when population-weighted concentration averages were calculated and the exposure level of the population group was compared before and after the COVID-19 outbreak, the proportion of people exceeding the air quality standard decreased by approximately 15.5%. Conclusions: Human activities can impact ambient concentrations of PM2.5, potentially altering the levels of PM2.5 exposure in the population.

        Research to prevent the spread of infectious diseases has become active recently in Korea, and the healthcare industry is growing in importance. Biosafety research facilities require air conditioning equipment that controls the flow of air artificially to prevent infectious agents from leaking out and affecting humans. Two methods for air conditioning systems, the CAV method and the VAV method, are both currently used in biosafety research facilities. In this study, we tried to identify the problems of the two air conditioning control methods and establish a system that can operate safely by generating pressure variables in a laboratory of a biosafety research facility operating the two air conditioning systems. Also a plan for improvements is suggested.

        접착제 취급 작업장 내 공기정화 설비를 이용한 휘발성 유기화합물 저감 평가

        Background: Exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can have acute and chronic health effects on human beings in general and in working environments. In particular, VOCs are often emitted in large quantities in industrial settings. In such circumstances, there is a need to improve the indoor air quality at workplaces. Objectives: The purposes of this study were to verify the effectiveness of air cleaning devices in workplaces and provide alternative solutions for improving working environments. Methods: Personal exposure and area level of VOCs for workers were evaluated in a car-part adhesive process before and after installing an air cleaning device with a TiO2-coated filter. Passive samplers and direct reading instruments were used to collect and analyze the VOCs, and the removal efficiency and improvement of air quality were evaluated. We also calculated the exposure index (EI) to assess the risk level in the workplace. Results: The removal efficiency for VOCs through the installation of the air cleaning device was approximately 26.9~69.0% as determined by the concentration levels before and after installation. The measured substances did not exceed the exposure limits for the work environment and the EI was less than 1. However, carcinogenic substances such as benzene, formaldehyde, carbon tetrachloride, and trichloroethylene were detected. Conclusions: The application of an air cleaning device can be a solution for controlling the indoor air quality in a workplace, particularly in cases where ventilation systems cannot be installed due to process limitations.

        IoT와 BLE 통신상의 형태보존암호 활용 및 최적화 구현 기법

        Bluetooth is the key technology in the wireless connection of many Internet of Things (IoT) devices, especially focusedon smartphones today. In addition, Bluetooth communication between the IoT device and the user is mainly performed viaBluetooth Low Energy (BLE), but as the Bluetooth technology gradually develops, the security vulnerability of the existingBLE is more prominent. Research on Bluetooth accessibility has been conducted steadily so far, but there is lack ofresearch for data protection in Bluetooth communication. Therefore, in this paper, when sending and receiving data in BLEcommunication between IoT and users, we propose effective methods for communicating with each other through the FormatPreserving Encryption Algorithm (FEA), not the plain text, and measures performance of FEA which is optimized inArduino and PC. 오늘날 스마트폰을 중심으로 많은 사물인터넷 (Internet of Things, IoT) 기기들이 무선으로 연결되는 데 있어서 빼놓을 수 없는 기술이 바로 블루투스이다. 또한, IoT 디바이스와 사용자 간에 블루투스 통신은 주로Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)를 통해서 이루어지는데, 블루투스 통신기술이 점차 발전함에 따라 기존 BLE의보안 취약점은 더욱 두드러질 것이다. 현재까지 블루투스 접근성에 대한 연구는 꾸준히 이뤄지고 있지만, 블루투스통신에서 데이터 보호에 대한 연구는 많이 부족하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IoT와 사용자 간 BLE 통신에서 데이터를 주고받을 때, 평문이 아닌 형태보존암호 (Format Preserving Encryption Algorithm, FEA)를 통해 암호문을 주고받으며 통신하기 위한 효과적 방법에 대해 제안하고, 최적화 구현한 형태보존암호에 대해 Arduino와 PC에서 직접 테스트하여 성능을 측정한다.
