The changes in morphological adaptation of tomato plants between aeroponics and nutrient film technique (NFT) were investigated in order to clarify the characteristics of two different hydroponic systems. The root development judged by the amount of root hairs and the diameter of secondary roots was better in the aeroponics than in the NFT. The anatomical observation also indicated that root cap, epidermis and cortical layer were thicker, and number of cell layers in the cortex was more, and the zone of cell division was longer in the roots grown in the NFT. Also, the intercellular space in the roots grown in the aeroponics were larger than those grown in the NFT.

The study was conducted to investigate the culturing method for soft―ening of ginger by regulating the temperature and shading under various tre―atments; black polyethylene film tunnel, transparent polyethylene film tunnel with straw mat covering , transparent polyethylene film tunnel with cloth mat covering, transparent polyethlene film tunnel with chaff mulching. The results are following ; 1. The effects of retaining warmth and shading were higher in the black polyethylene film tunnel and transparent polyethylene film tunnel with cl-oth mat covering than others, and there was 100% shading effect in the la-tter. 2. The degree of softening was increased in order of transparent polyethyle-ne film tunnel with cloth mat covering, black polyethylene film tunnel and transparent polyetlene film tunnel with straw mat covering. 3. There was a tendency to increase a yields in the transparent polyeth-ylene film tunnel with cloth mat covering because the high, width and de-velopment of plant were greater than the other treatments.

To investigate the role of dopamine receptors and possible involvement of brain opiate system in the apomorphine-induced rotational behavior of the substantia nigra-lesioned rats with 6-hydroxydopamine, affects of morphine and naloxone on the action of docpamine agonist or antagonist were examined. Rats were primed with apomorphine after denervation. 1. Apomorphine elicited dose-dependent contralateral cilcling behavior. Maximum development of supersensitivity to apomorphine was observed 4 weeks after denervation in apomorphine-primed rat. The ratatory effect of apomorphine was enhanced by subcutaneous morphine, but diminished by naloxone. 2. A selective D1 agonist, SKF 38393 or a selective D2 agonist LY 171555 induced rotatory behavior of substantia nigra-lesioned rats. Rotatory effect of subcutaneous SKF 38393 was not affected by morphine and naloxone, but the effect of subcutaneous SKF 38393 was potentiated by morphine and dinimished by naloxone. 3. Subcutaneous SCH 23390 or sulpiride decreased the rotatory effect of apomorphine. Naloxone potentiated this effect of SCH 23390, but did not affect the effect of sulpiride. 4. Administration of morphine into ipsilateral caudate nucleus potentiated the rotatory effect of SKF 38393 and LY 171555, while ipsilateral treatment of naloxone did not affect the effect of SKF 38393, but diminished the action of LY 171555. Otherwise, contralateral injection of naloxone did now affect the effect of SKF 38393, but potentiated the action of LY 171555. 5. Chronic administration of naloxone increased the rotatory effects of apormorphine, SKF 38393 and LY 171555. Abrupt withdrawal of the drug potentiated the effect of apomorphine. From the above results, it is suggested that the rotatory effect of apomorphine is due to both the activation of dopamine D1 and D2 receptor, which are party moduated by brain opiate system.
剝皮와 6-Benzyladenine 處理가 사과나무 富士品種의 新梢發育에 미치는 影響

The experiment has been conducted to determine on optimum concentration of 6-benzyladenine and time of scoring in the sprouting and shoot growth of apple variety 'Fuji'. the two year old trees were used for this experiment. The results are as follows ; 1. The sprouting on apple stem was induced by scoring made at any time of the season tested. 2. 6-benzyladenine induced the bud burst on apple stem. The most effective concentration of 6-benzyladenine was 500 ppm. 3. 6-benzyladenine induced the bud burst more effectively when it was applied to 9∼10 bud on the main stem than it was applied to only 3 buds. 4. The shoot growth was vest when the scoring was made scoring was made on April 3 than it was made on June 3 or on August 3. 5. There was a tendency that the higher concentration of 6-benzyladenine inhibited the growth of shoots bursted out of scored buds. On the other hand, 6-benzyladenine stimulated the growth of shoots on the stem when scoring was not made, however,the effect of shoot growth induction 6-benzyladenine was not comparable to that by scoring.
