        사용후핵연료 습식저장 시설의 중대사고 안전성 검토

        지난 2011년 3월의 후쿠시마 원전 사고시 원자로 건물에서의 연쇄적인 수소폭발이 발생하였을 때 관계자들은 제1원전 4호기의 폭발에 더욱 놀랐었는데 이는 그 당시 4호기는 정기보수를 위하여 원자로내 모든 핵연료를 저장조에 보관중이었기 때문이다. 저장조내 냉각수 유실로 노심에서 옮겨진 핵연료가 공기 중에 노출되어 수소가 발생하고 임계가 도달하였다면 더욱 심각할 수도 있기 때문이었는데 다행히 추후에 양호한 냉각수 상태가 확인되어 우려할 상황을 피할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 후쿠시마 원전 사고를 계기로 국내 원자력 발전소내 핵연료 임시 저장시설의 안전성과 관련하여 중대사고 관점에서 검토해 보고자 한다. When the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident occurred in March of 2011, a hydrogen explosion in the reactor building at the 4th unit of Fukushima plants led to a big surprise because the full core of the unit 4 reactor had been moved and stored underwater at the spent nuclear fuel storage pool for periodic maintenance. It was because the possible criticality in the fuel storage pool by coolant loss may yield more severe situation than the similar accident happened inside the reactor vessel. Fortunately, it was assured to be evitable to an anxious situation by a look of water filled in the storage pool later. In the paper, the safety state of the spent fuel storage pool and rack structures of the domestic nuclear plants would be roughly reviewed and compared with the Fukushima plant case by engineering viewpoint of potential severe accidents.

        휴대폰용 일체형 음향 및 진동 발생장치 개발을 위한 연구

        The received signal of a mobile phone is normally sensed through two independent means which are the sound generation of a speaker and vibration generation of a vibration motor. As an improvement scheme to meet the consumer's demand on weight reduction and miniaturization of a mobile phone, the design and development of an integrated vibration and sound generating device are performed in this research. To this purpose, the optimal shapes of the voice coil. the permanent magnet and the vibration plate are designed, and the excitation force applied to the vibration system of the new device is estimated and verified through theoretical analyses, computer simulation, and experiments using an expanded model. In addition, vibration performance comparison of the device with the existing vibration motor is performed, and from the overall process, therefore, the method and procedure for the vibration performance analysis of the integrated vibration and sound generating device are established.

        가압경수형 원자력발전소 비고정식 고밀도 핵연료 저장대의 지진해석 방법에 대한 검토

        본 논문은 가압경수형 원자력발전소내 비고정식 고밀도 사용후 핵연료 저장대의 지진해석을 수행하기 위해 현재 사용되고 있는 해석방법을 검토하고 있다. 석기서는 영광 3, 4호기 및 울진 3, 4호기 계통설계 경험을 통해 한국원자력 연구소가 보유하게 된 해석 기술을 근거로 하여 해석과정과 모델방법 등을 논의하였다. 비고정식 사용후 핵연료 저장대의 해석은 냉각수에 의한 수력학적 커플링 효과, 핵연료와 중성자 흡수체 및 저장대 구조물 사이의 간극에 의한 충돌, 마찰효과, 그리고 강체 미끌어짐 및 기울어짐 등의 복잡한 현상들을 고려해야 한다. 이러한 모델링 변수들에 대하여 현재의 방법과 규제기관의 추천사항을 비교, 검토하였으며 해석방법 개선 및 최근의 기술적 관심사항들에 대하여 논의하였다.

      • 월성원전 핵연료 저장용량 확장용 내진안전성 해석방법 분석

        This paper describes seismic analysis method of spent fuel storage structures for Wolsung nuclear power plant. CANDU type storage have submerged structure with stacked fuel storage trays on the tray support on the pool bottom. Therefore, fluid dynamic effect should be considered in the seismic analysis. In the study, the overall procedure and how to handle the added mass effect in the analysis to closely simulate the earthquake behaviour are discussed. And a simple quasi-linear approach for analysing the nonlinear responses including tipping and sliding of the tray module assemblies. As a result, the seismic stability of the fuel storage structures turned out to be maintained in case of assumed capacity increase.

      • 중수로형 사용후핵연료 운반용기의 가상사고시 구조적 특성

        As the spent fuel shipping cask may cause serious effect on public and environment in case of leakage of its radioactive materials by accident, it is strictly treated in codes and standards to assure the structural safety during transportation. Not only under normal transportation but under hypothetical accident conditions, the cask is required to maintain the structural integrity. On the conceptual design purpose of PHWR type fuel shipping cask, the 9m free drop onto an unyielding horizontal surface and 1m free drop onto pin cases were evaluated as the model accidents in structural viewpoint in this study. To determine the position of drop impact orientation which causes maximum damage, comparative analyses on various positions were performed for the 9m drop, and an analysis assumed 1m drop onto a pin with horizontal position was done representatively. As a results, the structural integrity of the cask in hypothetical accident conditions is turned out to be maintained.

      • 가동원전의 주기적안전성평가를 위한 안전인자 및 요소 설정

        Periodic Safety Review(PSR) is a periodic and systematic review of 11 safety items for operating Nuclear Power Plant(NPP) according to IAEA's definition. From the discussion last December, Korean Nuclear Safety Committee had decided to initiate PSR implementation front a model application to Kori Unit 1 and to legislate PSR in this year. In this paper, the necessity and feasibility of domestic PSR application is confirmed through the investigation, comparison and review of PSR implementation and regulation status in foreign countries. And, detailed analysis of baseline guidelines of IAEA is performed to establish a skeleton of desirable safety review for Korean NPP. Our own objectives, scope and strategy of review for PSR are roughly set up from factor by factor analysis of PSR implementation experience in foreign countries and barkground of IAEA guidelines. The essential elements of review for each PSR safety factors are classified and proposed. The established scope of PSR may be revised by future discussions or comments between regulators, owners, professors and other party on this study.

        The purpose of the paper, considering the recent increasing trend of large earthquakes occurred in the world and their damage, is to re-establishment of the seismic design criteria based on the Industrial Safety and Health Law, to protect the facilities and equipment from earthquake, and to develop a standard that can prevent from industrial accidents at a reasonable level. Collection and review of the seismic requirements of the industrial structures and the seismic design practise of the structures in the developed countries are performed. Besides, collecting opinions through a couple of technical meetings with the relative user groups like certification /inspection agencies, manufacturing companies, engineers in structural engineering, etc. As a result, unified control of the national seismic requirements by a single concentrated administration is proposed for a consistent and efficient seismic design between the major industrial structures.

      • 건물내 라이프라인 배관의 내진성 향상을 위한 설계방법

        This paper emphasizer that seismic design of lifeline piping is necessary to avoid a secondary damage from earthquake like building fire. A large portion fo damage from the large historical earthquakes has been suffered surprisingly by post-earthquake fire. And it is well known that the fire had been caused by the failure of energy supply piping such as electricity pipes of gas pipes, of by the absence of rabid countermeasure system from failure of fire fighting equipment and water supply pipes. In this paper, it is discussed about a general seismic design method of building internal structure like lifeline piping and about a measure for reducing the seismic respones. As conclusions, it is proposed that lifeline piping should be simultaneously considered in the seismic design of building of importance for higher reliability.
