Vertical pumps are structurally weak in terms of vibration because of installed heavy motor on top of the pumps in form of cantilever. So high vibration on top of the pumps can occur with low vibration in the bottom. These vibration problems experienced very frequently. Majority of studies have been related to the unbalance of rotating parts or structural resonance. In this paper, we introduce an unusual case, vibration variation caused by VPF(Vane Passing Frequency) according to water level.

일부 사회복지시설 종사자의 구강건강상태에 따른 구강건강관련 삶의 질

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the influencing factors of oral health-related quality of life in social workers. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 240 social workers in Gwangju by convenience sampling method. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(age, monthly salary, smoking, alcohol consumption) and systemic health condition(systemic diseases, medication, oral health status, and stress). The factors associated with oral health-related quality of life included skin dryness, eye dryness, lip dryness, and nasal dryness. The subjective dry mouth consisted of 6 questions measured by visual analogue scale(VAS). Cronbach``s alpha was 0.868 in the study. The data were analyzed for t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The oral health-related quality of life in social workers varied by age, oral health status, stress status, and halitosis. The oral health-related quality of life had positive correlations with the subjective perception of dry mouth and whole body dry symptoms. The health status(в=-0.410) had the influence on the oral health-related quality of life, nasal dryness(в=0.230), age(в=0.189), and halitosis (в=0.162) in order. Conclusions: The oral health-related quality of life was closely related to the health status and nasal dryness. It is necessary to develop the quality of life improvement programs including oral health prevention and care program in the social workers.

지역사회 노인의 구강건강(GOHAI)과 주관적 기억감퇴(SMCQ)의 관련성 연구

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate whether there was a connection between oral health and memory loss in elderly individuals with no abnormalities in their daily lives and to identify factors affecting memory loss. Methods: This study aimed to identify an association between the Geriatric Oral Health Assessment Index and Subjective Memory Complaints for the elderly individuals living in the community. Results: The results of analyzing the oral health assessment according to the general characteristics of the study participants revealed that with increase in age, income (p=0.05) and oral health of the elderly living alone decreased compared to those living together in the family (p=0.05). Moreover, the lower the income (p=0.05), the higher was the memory loss for the elderly living alone than for the elderly living together with their family (p=0.05). Conclusions: The study identified a link between oral health of the elderly and subjective memory loss and observed that oral health, cohabitation, and income level were related to subjective memory loss. Therefore, oral health should be considered as a predictor of memory loss for the elderly.

시판 일부 주류가 치아법랑질에 미치는 영향

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the change in surface microhardness of sound enamel of bovine teeth due to commercial alcoholic drinks. Methods: The experiment group comprised of wines, makgeollis, and beers with low pH, while distilled water was used as the control. The two experiment groups were administered soju having the highest (SojuH) and lowest (SojuL) pH. Drinking wines were classified into 2 groups: agitated (wine A) and nonagitated (wine NA) wines. The pH values, buffering capacity, and concentrations of fluorine, calcium, and phosphorus of both the wine groups were measured. Eighty-four bovine specimens were divided into seven groups (N=12) and were immersed for 1, 3, 5, 10, 30, 60, and 120 min, respectively. The surface microhardness was measured using a microhardness tester before and after treatment with each alcoholic drink. After 120 min, the enamel surface was examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The statistical methods used in this study were one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and repeated-measure ANOVA. Results: The differences in the surface microhardness (△VHN) values obtained before and after treatment for 120 min were statistically significant among groups. Makgeolli, wine A, and wine NA significantly eroded the enamel after 120 min. However, sojuH and sojuL had an effect similar to that of distilled water, which was used in the control group. Beer caused slight enamel erosion. SEM images revealed that makgeolli, wine A, and wine NA caused significant erosion of the enamel surface, while beer caused slight erosion. SEM observation results were similar to those obtained after surface microhardness evaluation. Conclusions: The study findings suggest that alcoholic drinks, such as makgeolli and wine, with organic acids and a pH value less than 4.0 can cause tooth enamel erosion. Therefore, alcoholic drinks with low pH values and organic acid composition should not be retained for long periods in the mouth.

고압 다단펌프 축계 진동 특성 고찰

This paper presents numerical analysis result of rotor-bearing system of a multi-stage high pressure pump. Especially resonance possibility, stability and damping factor are estimated for a selected commercial multi-stage high pressure pump. The result shows that it is not easy to avoid resonance of rotor-bearing system against main excitation forces which are residual unbalance force and pressure pulsation. This makes damping effect be more important.

젊은 1인가구를 위한 소형집합주거의 공간계획 특성분석

The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning characteristics of small housing complex for young one person household. A document research method was used to understand the general notion, characteristics and housing types of young one person household. Case studies were used to analyze and classified the spatial characteristics of units and shared space. Findings of this study were as follows: 1) Young one person household has generally individualistic and pragmatic tendency that attaches importance to efficiency while they act alone. Also these propensities bring about various social and psychological problems such as social isolation, loneliness etc. 2) There are two aspects in unit planning characteristics "The spatial planning reflecting essential living activities" and "The free plan configuration", and in shared Space planning characteristics "The complexation of public functions through the control of private function" and "Flexibility for public functions". This study has a significant meaning on grasping current trend in small single housing and to provide information for future direction on housing-unit design for young one-person household.

신도시 공동주택에 나타난 무장애공간 계획개념 및 적용실태

The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning concept and application status of barrier free space in the shared spaces of new town apartment houses. A document research method was used to understand the basic concept, specific planning concept, and the relevant laws and regulations of barrier free space. After observing the advanced research, the check-list is made accordance with the improvement law of facility and advanced research. Case studies were used to analyze the application status based on the planning concept of barrier free space in the shared spaces of apartment house by using the check-list. In conclusion, this study found that "Safety" and "Functionality" were primarily applied to the site plan, and "Accessibility" and "Functionality" were mainly applicable to the building plan. This study shows that these results will be utilized as guidelines for planning of apartment house plans applied the concept of barrier free space.

세종시 첫마을 공동주택 공용공간의 무장애 계획개념 적용실태 및 개선

This study aims to grasp the actual condition of applying barrier-free planning concept and propose an improvement plan on problems as basic data to be used for directional guide in future designs and plans of a barrier-free housing complex, on the subject of the “First Town” apartment housing at Sejong city, which played a pivotal role in enforcing barrier-free living environment certification for construction and make-up. A document research method was used to understand the basic concept, specific planning concept, and the relevant laws and regulations of barrier free. After observing the advanced research, the check-list was made accordance with the improvement law of facility and advanced research. Case studies were used to analyze the application status based on the planning concept of barrier free space in the shared spaces of apartment housing by using the check-list. In conclusion, this study found that "Accessibility" and "Safety" were primarily applied to the housing complex as well as the building plan. However, concept of "Distinguishment" showed a very low application level. This study shows that these results will be utilized as guidelines for planning of apartment housing applied the Barrier-Free Planning Concept.

치위생과 학생들의 스트레스와 자아 존중감에 영향을 미치는 요인

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of stress, self-esteem, and social support in dental hygiene students. Methods : The data were collected by self-reported questionnaires from 518 students in three colleges in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, and Jeollabuk-do. Korea. The questionnaire consisted of stress, self-esteem and social support. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson`s correlation coefficients and Stepwise multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The mean(±SD) scores of stress, self-esteem and social support were 3.13(0.52), 3.31(0.55), and 3.66(0.48), respectively. A significantly negative correlations was shown in self-esteem(r=-0.360, p〈0.001) as well as social support(r=-0.138, p〈0.05) in relation to stress. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop and apply nursing intervention to promote self-esteem, social support, and to reduce stress in dental hygiene students.

Road noise is caused to rotate by contact of the tire and the road surface. The road noise has a high correlation with the road profile. Therefore study of the road profile characteristics is important. A characterization of pavement texture are classified parameters related to road profile (depth) and statistical analysis of texture profiles. In this research, to measure the road profile on 4 type road in proving ground and estimate pavement parameter about each road profile.
