        다형질 Animal Model에 의한 한국재래계의 주요 경제형질의 유전모수 추정

        This study was conducted to estimate the general production performance, heritabilities, and genetic phenotypic correlations on several economic traits by multiple trait animal model in Korean native chicken. The data were collected from the records of 5,192 pullets produced from 2,029 dams and 250 sires in Daejon Branch, National Livestock Research Institute from April 10. 1994 to February 10. 1997. Body weights of Red Brown (RB), Yellow Brown (YB), Grey Brown (GB) and Black (B) strains were 1,649.9, 1,439.6, 1,455.6 and 1,575.3g at age of 150 days and 1,923.5, 1,689.6, 1,812.4 and 1,924.0g at age of 270 days, respectively. The ranges of coefficient of variation for body weight were 11.52 to 14.02 at age of 150 days and 12.82 to 14.59% at age of 270 days, respectively. The first eggs of RB, YB, GB and B strains were produced at 147.4, 146.5, 151.1 and 152.1 days, respectively and the coefficients of variation were 7.80 to 8.41%. Egg weight at 270 days were 49.7, 47.6, 48.8 and 48.7 g for RB, YB, GB nd B strains, and coefficients of variation were 6.99 to 7.94% . The number of eggs at age of 270days were 75.8, 78.0, 76.7 and 68.8 for RB, YB, GB and B strains, respectively, and coefficient of variations were 23.87 to 29.89%. On heritability estimates in RB, YB, GB and strains body weight were 0.40, 0.10, 0.09 and 0.57 for RB, YB, GB and B strains at age of 150 days, and 0.23, 0.09, 0.38 and 0.24 at age of 270 days were 0.39, 0.47, 0.60 and 0.62, and egg weights at 270 days and age at 1st egg were 0.36, 0.12, 0.38 and 0.26, number of egg production at 270 days were 0.44, 0.36, 0.58 and 0.49, respectively. The genetic correlation coefficients of body weight with the age of first egg, egg weight and number of egg production at 270days were -0.07∼0.67, -0.24∼0.70 and 0.12∼0.41, respectively ; age of first egg with number of egg production at 270days and egg weight were -0.75∼0.91 and 0.34∼0.97 ; and egg weight with number of egg production at 270days were 0.18∼0.68. The phenotypic correlation coefficients of body weight with at age of first egg, egg weight and number of egg production at 270days were -0.01∼0.74, -0.04∼0.72 and 0.25∼0.57 ; age of first egg with number of egg production at 270days and egg weight were 0.26∼0.52 and 0.52∼0.92, respectively ; and egg weight with number of egg production at 270days were 0.34∼0.91.

        한국재래닭의 경제 형질에 대한 육종가 추정

        This study was carried out to evaluate the breeding values for economic traits in Korean native chicken on the basis of 11,583 birds of record along 7 generations collected from 1995 to 2001 at National Livestock Research Institute, Korea. The results obtained are summarized as follows : The breeding value estimates of the body weights at 150 and 270 days in Dark Brown, Light Brown, Gray Brown, Black and White strains were -16.563~-0.474 and -18.836~21.700, -14.714~9.272 and -23.025~11.297, -25.186~12.953 and -28.368~18.156, -15.549~6.329 and -18.264~4.963, -10.708~20.284 and -25.112~10.132g, respectively.The breeding value estimates of the ages at first egg in Dark Brown, Light Brown, Gray Brown, Black and White strains were -1.236~0.047, -1.509~0.298, -1.362~0.114, -1.436~0.199 and -1.385~0.718, respectively.The breeding value estimates of the egg weight at first egg and at 270 days were -0.105~0.075 and -0.120~0.398, -0.109~0.042 and -0.205~0.173, -0.166~0.084 and -0.256~0.091, -0.119~0.066 and -0.051~0.132, -0.112~0.027 and -0.070~0.101g, respectively.The breeding value estimates of the egg production to 270 days in Dark Brown, Light Brown, Gray Brown, Black and White strains were 0.298~1.807, -0.049~1.146, -0.396~1.125, -1.206~1.173 and -0.474~2.641, respectively. 본 연구는 축산연구소에서 1995년부터 2001년까지 7세대에 걸쳐 능력 검정된 11,583수에 대한 자료를 이용하여 한국재래닭에 대한 경제형질의 육종가를 추정한 바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 육종가의 추정치는 적갈색, 황갈색, 회갈색, 흑색 및 백색계통의 150일령 체중에서 각각 -16.563~-0.474, -14.714~ 9.272, -25.186~12.953, -15.549~6.329 및 -10.708~20.284g 이었고, 270일령 체중에서 각각 -18.836~21.700, -23.025~ 11.297, -28.368~18.156, -18.264~14.963 및 -25.112~10.132g 이었다. 산란능력의 육종가 추정치는 적갈색, 황갈색, 회갈색, 흑색 및 백색 계통의 시산일령에서 각각 -1.236~0.047, -1.509~ 0.298, -1.362~0.114, -1.436~0.199 및 -1.385~0.718 일 이었고, 시산난중은 각각 -0.105~0.075, 0.109~0.042, -0.166~ 0.084, -0.119~0.066 및 -0.112~0.027g 이었고, 270일령 난중은 각각 -0.120~0.398, -0.205~0.173, -0.256~0.091, -0.051~ 0.132 및 -0.070~0.101g 이었으며, 270일령 산란수는 각각 0.298~ 1.807, -0.049~1.146, -0.396~1.125, -1.206~1.173 및 -0.474~ 2.641개 이었다.

        한국재래닭의 각 계통별 세대간 계란의 난백고, Haugh Unit 및 난황색은 각각 5.7±0.4~6.1±0.2㎜, 75.7±2.4~79.0±0.6 및 6.8±0.2~7.3±0.03이었고 회귀방정식에 의한 회귀계수로 표현된 세대당 능력변화량을 보면 적갈색, 황갈색, 회갈색, 흑색 및 백색계통의 계란의 난백고는 각각 0.09, 0.05, 0.05, 0.04 및 -0.01㎜, Haugh Unit는 0.37, 0.24, 0.07, 0.42 및 0.11이었고 난황색은 0.04, 0.05, 0.00, 0.05 및 -0.08이었다. The observed means, standard divisions and regression coefficients of the egg quality in Korean native chicken on the basis of the 7 generations data collected from 11,583 birds from 1995 to 2001 were follows. The egg albumin heights, haugh units and egg yolk colour were 5.7±0.4~6.1±0.2㎜, 75.7±2.4~79.0±0.6 and 6.8±0.2~7.3±0.03. The regression coefficients were -0.01~0.09㎜, 0.07~0.42 and -0.08~0.05, respectively.

        The genetic correlation coefficients between body weight at 150 days and age at first egg, egg weight at the first egg, body weight at 270 days, egg weight, the number of egg production based on the average of the five lines were 0.27, 0.43, 0.59, -0.13 and -0.03, respectively. The genetic correlation coefficients between body weight at 270 days and age at first egg, egg weight at the first egg, egg weight at 270 days, the number of egg production were 0.33, 0.26, 0.22 and -0.16 respectively. Positive genetic correlation was observed between body weight and age at the first egg. On the other hand, negative genetic correlation was observed between body weight and egg weight at 270 days. The genetic correlation coefficients between the age at first egg and egg weight at the first egg, egg weight at 270 days, the number of egg production were 0.91, 0.54 and -0.71 respectively. Highly positive genetic correlation was observe between the age at first egg and egg weight. However, highly negative genetic correlation was observed between the age at first egg and the number of egg production. The medium negative genetic correlation coefficients were observed between the number of egg production at 270 days and egg weight at the first egg, egg weight at 270 days as -0.32 and -0.39 respectively.

        한국재래닭의 중요 경제형질에 대한 세대별 최소자 승평균치는 150 및 270일령 체중에서 3세대에서 각각 1,599.74 및 1,905.01g으로 가장 무거웠고, 시산일령은 4세대에서 143.31일로 가장 빨랐으며, 시산난중은 7세대에 35.68g, 270일령 난중은 5세대에 50.42g으로 가장 무거웠고, 270일령 산란수는 6세대에 78.53개로 가장 많았으며 대체로 세대가 증가할수록 체중과 시산일령은 줄어들고 난중과 산란수는 증가하는 방향으로 개량되었다. The significant generation effects were investigated in all the major economic traits in Korean native chicken. The highest L.S means of the body weights at 150 and 270 days of age were observed in generation three are 1,599.74 and 1,905.01g. The earliest L.S mean of the age at first egg was 143.31 days in 4th generation. The heaviest L.S means of egg weights at the first egg and 270 days of age were observed in 7th and 5th generation at 35.6g and 50.42g. The L.S mean of the largest number of egg production was 78.53 eggs in 6th generation. In general, light body weight, short time for the age at first egg, heavy egg weight and large number of egg production were observed as the generation increased.

        한국 재래닭의 각 계통별 세대간 계란의 난각강도, 난각두께 및 난각색은 각각 3.8±0.2~4.2±0.1 ㎏/㎠, 356.4±4.9~368.8±6.5 ㎛ 및 47.0±1.7~50.0±3.3 %이었고, 회귀방정식에 의한 회귀계수로 표현된 능력변화 추세를 보면 적갈색, 황갈색, 회갈색, 흑색 및 백색 계통의 계란 난각강도는 -0.03, 0.00, 0.03, 0.03 및 0.00 ㎏/㎠, 난각두께는 -0.84, 0.36, 1.05, 3.58 및 4.40 ㎛, 난각색은 -0.75, -0.55, -0.88, -0.47 및 -0.36 %이었다. The observed means and standard divisions of the egg texture per generation in korean native chickens were as follow. The egg shell strength, the egg shell thickness and the egg shell colour were 3.8±0.2~4.2±0.1 ㎏/㎠, 356.4±4.9~368.8±6.5 ㎛ and 47.0±1.7~50.0±3.3 %.<br/> The regression coefficients were -0.03~0.03 ㎏/㎠, -0.84~4.40 ㎛ and -0.88~-0.36 % respectively.

        한국 재래닭의 중요 산란형질에 대한 각 계통의 세대별 시산일령, 시산난중, 270일령 난중 및 산란수의 평균능력은 각각 147.1±1.9일, 32.3±0.9 g, 49.4±0.7 g 및 76.2±1.7개이었고, 세대당 평균 능력변이는 각각 -0.75±0.01일, 0.33±0.08 g, 0.19±0.05 g 및 0.47±0.3개였다. The observed means and standard divisions of the major laying traits per generation in korean native chickens were as follow. The age at first egg, the egg weight at the first egg, the weight at 270days and the egg production to 270days were 147.1±1.9 days, 32.3±0.9 g, 49.4±0.7 g and 76.2±1.7 eggs. The regression coefficients were -0.75±0.01 days, 0.33±0.08 g, 0.19±0.05 g and 0.47±0.3 eggs respectively.

        본 연구는 한국재래닭의 효율적인 유전능력의 개량을 위한 육종목표의 설정과 선발을 수행하는데 필요한 자료를 얻고자 축산기술연구소에서 1995년부터 2001년까지 7세대에 걸쳐 능력검정된 11,583수에 대한 자료를 이용하여 주요경제형질의 체중, 시산일령, 난중 및 산란수에 대한 평균능력과 계통 및 출생세대의 효과를 추정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 150일령 체중은 적갈색, 황갈색, 회갈색, 흑색 및 백색계통에서 각각 1,557.7, 1,471.7, 1,393.5, 1591.2 및 1,545.6g이었으며, 변이계수는 9.65~13.79%이었고, 270일령 체중은 각각 1.880.8, 1,738.2, 1,694.9, 1,901.0 및 1,763.6g이었으며, 변이계수는 13.29~15.16%로 150일령 체중에 비해 다소 높은 편이었다. 산란능력은 적갈색, 황갈색, 회갈색, 흑색 및 백색계통에서 시산일령은 각각 150.0, 148.3, 149.5, 152,8 및 147.7일이었고, 변이계수는 13.54~15.27%로 다소 높은 편이었으며, 270일령 난중은 각각 50.8, 49.2, 49.1, 50.0 및 47.8g이었고, 변이계수는 6.93~7.36%로 낮았으며, 270일령 산란수는 77.0, 79.3, 77.3, 73.7 및 75.4개이었고, 변이계수는 29.98~36.99%로 아주 높은 수치이었다. 재래닭의 주요 경제형질에 대한 계통의 효과는 모든 형질에서 유의적인 차이가 인정되었으며, 계통별 최소자승 평균치는 150일령 및 270일령 체중에서 흑색계통이 각각 1,594.38 및 1,911.57g으로 가장 무거웠고, 시산일령은 백색계통이 146.88일로 가장 빨랐으며, 시산난중 및 270일령 난중은 적갈색 계통이 각각 32.20 및 50.74g으로 가장 무거웠고, 산란수는 황갈색 계통이 79.50개로 가장 많았다. 또한 주요 경제형질에 대한 세대의 효과는 모든 형질에서 통계적인 유의성이 인정되었으며, 세대별 최소자승 평균치는 150일령 및 270일령 체중에서 3세대에서 각각 1,599.74 및 1,905.01g으로 가장 무거웠고, 시산일령은 4세대에서 143.31일로 가장 빨랐으며, 시산난중은 7세대에 35.68g, 270일령 난중은 5세대에 50.42g으로 가장 무거웠고, 270일령 산란수는 6세대에서 78.53개로 가장 많았으며, 대체로 세대가 증가할수록 체중과 시산일령은 줄어들고, 난중과 산란수는 증가하는 방향으로 개량되었다. This study was carried out to estimate the effects of strain and generation on the major production performances of Korean native chicken. The data were collected from 11,583 birds of the 7 generations over the year 1995 through 2001 at National Livestock Research Institute, Korea. Results obtained were summarized as follows: The body weights at 150 and 270 days of age were 1,557.7 and 1880.7, 1,471.7 and 1,738.2, 1,393.5 and 1,694.9, 1,591.2 and 1,910.0, 1,545.6 and 1,763.6g in Red Brown, Yellow Brown, Gray Brown, Black, and White strains, respectively. The Coefficient of Variations (CVs) of the body weights at 150 and 270 days of age were 9.65~13.79% and 13.29~15.16%. The ages at first egg were 150.0, 148.3, 149.5, 152,8 and 147.7 days in Red Brown, Yellow Brown, Gray Brown, Black and White strains, respectively and the CVs were between 9.33 and 10.11%. The egg weights at the first egg and 270 days of age were 33.2 and 50.8, 32.2 and 49.2, 32.2 and 49.1, 33.0 and 50.0, 30.7 and 47.8g respectively. The CVs of the egg weights of the first egg and at 270 days of age were 13.54~15.27% and 6.93~7.36%. The numbers of eggs produced by 270 days of age were 77.0, 79.3, 77.3, 73,7, 75.4, respectively, and observed CVs were between 29.98~36.99%. The significant strain effects were investigated in all the major economic traits in Korean native chicken. The heaviest LS means of egg weights at the first egg and 270 days of age were observed in Red Brown strain as 32.20 and 50.74g. The LS mean of the largest number of egg production was 79.50 eggs in Yellow Brown strain. Also, The significant generation effects were investigated in all the major economic traits. The highest LS means of the body weights at 150 and 270 days of age were observed in the generation 3 as 1,599.74 and 1,905.01g. The earliest LS mean of the age at first egg was 143.31 days in 4th generation. The heaviest LS means of egg weights at the first egg and 270 days of age were observed in 7th and 5th generation as 35.68 and 50.42g. The LS means of the largest number of egg production was 78.53 eggs in generation 6. In general, light body weight, short time for the age at first egg, heavy egg weight, and large number of egg production were observed as the generation proceeded.
