        A statistical analysis of the diagnostic value for 244 aspiration biopsy cytology(ABC) among a total 1,043 cases from various sites was performed. ABC, using diagnostic terminology similar to that of a surgical pathology reports, was compared to the final tissue diagnosis. For the entire series, a sensitivity of 91.8%, a specificity of 99.3%, a positive predictive value of 98.9%, a negative predictive value of 94,8%, and an efficacy of the test of 96.3% were shown. There were 8 false negative and 1 false positive diagnosis. The diagnostic accuracy was 89.8%. Those results indicate that the ABC is a considerably highly accurate procedure that should be routinely employed.

        이상적인 수분 제어 기능을 갖는 섬유 구조체에 대한 연구

        This study investigates specific fabric structures with the optimal moisture transfer properties of moisture absorbency and dryness depending on the yarn type. Experiments were performed on the moisture absorbency and dryness of yarns with different cross sections (four channels, six channels, and regular round), yarn counts (i.e., denier), filament counts, textures (i.e., textured vs. flat), and structures (e.g., double-layer construction with different densities between the face and back sides). Polyester fiber was identified and determined to fulfill the above functions. Experiments were also performed to determine factors that affect the absorbency function of cotton and polyester microporous spun yarns: the yarn count (mono denier), total yarn denier, absorbent chemical concentration, and yarn cross-sectional shape. Finally, experiments were carried out to compare the moisture absorbency and dryness of different yarn cross sections: four channels, six channels, and regular round.

        인슐린의존성 당뇨병이 유도된 흰쥐의 신경망막에서 parvalbumin 발현 변화

        칼슘결합단백질은 신경계통에서 활동전위의 지속시간 변화, 신경세포의 돌발반응 능력 촉진 및 과도한 칼슘 유입에 의한 상해로부터 신경세포의 보호 등 다양한 기능을 수행하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구는 칼슘결합단백질의 한 종류인 parvalbumin (parv)의 정상 망막 내의 발현소재 및 발현양상과 실험적으로 유도된 당뇨병성 망막에서 parv 발현양상의 변화를 관찰하여, 당뇨병성 망막증에서 parv 기능의 일부를 규명하고자하였다. 생후 8주된 Sprague-Dawley 계 흰쥐를 실험동물로 하여 streptozotocin의 정맥 내 주사로 당뇨병을 유발시켰으며, 300 mg/dL 이상의 혈당치를 나타낸 동물들을 각각 1, 4, 8, 12 및 24주 경과시켜 사용하였다. 각 시기의 동물로부터 분리된 망막에 parv 항체를 사용한 면역세포화학법과 Western blot 법을 시행하였다. 정상 망막에서 parv 면역반응성은 서로 다른 두 종류의 무축삭세포와 전위무축삭세포에서 나타났다. 속핵층에 위치한 첫 번째 유형의 무축삭세포는 강한 면역반응성과 특징적인 공모양 부속돌기를 지닌 AII 무축삭세포였으며, 또 다른 세포는 강한 반응성과 속얼기층에 수평으로 길게 뻗고 있는 돌기를 지니고 산재해 있는 무축삭세포였다. 당뇨병 망막에서 parv 면역반응성은 주로 세포질돌기에서 저하되었으며, 각 parv 면역반응 무축삭세포들의 수적 변화는 두드러지지 않았다. 특징적으로 당뇨병 경과 4주부터 일부의 이극세포가 parv 면역반응성을 나타내기 시작하여, 이후 시기가 경과됨에 따라 parv 면역반응 이극세포의 수도 증가하였다. 당뇨병 망막에서 parv 단백질의 양적인 변화를 정량적으로 분석한 결과, 당뇨병 4주 때 일시적으로 증가현상을 나타내었을 뿐 그 외의 당뇨병 시기에서 큰 변화를 나타내지 않았다. 당뇨병 망막에서 parv 면역반응 이극세포의 종류 및 특성을 규명하고자 이중면역형광법을 실시한 결과, parv 발현 이극세포가 일부 유형의 원뿔이극세포 표지자인 Glt-1b와 공존하고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 parv 면역염색된 망막의 전자현미경 관찰 결과, 속얼기층에서 AII 무축삭세포 돌기들 사이에, AII 무축삭세포 돌기와 이극세포의 축삭 사이에 교통연접이 형성되어 있음을 확인하였다. 이상의 결과로 parv 활동능이 당뇨병 상해에 반응하여 AII 무축삭세포에서 특정 원뿔이극세포로 전이되었음을 알 수 있었으며, 이는 특정 원뿔이극세포와 AII 무축삭세포 간의 교통연접을 통하여 이루어진 것으로 생각된다. Calcium-binding proteins in the nervous system are functioned in Ca2+ buffering and Ca2+ transport and regulation of various enzyme systems. They potentially have a number of different effects on cells including altering the duration of action potentials, promoting neuronal bursting activity and protecting cells against the damaging effects of excessive calcium influx. The present study has been designed to clarify the differential responding patterns of parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons in the rat retina following diabetic injury, for better understandings of role of parvalbumin in the retinal circuitry and in calcium homeostasis. Experimental diabetes was induced by a single intravenous injection of streptozotocin in a dose of 60 mg/kg body weight. Diabetic rats showing high blood glucose levels (above 300 mg/dL) were cared for 1, 4, 8, 12 and 24 weeks, respectively. The retinas at each time point were processed for immunohistochemistry and Western blotting using antiparvalbumin antibody. In the rat retina at normal, parvalbumin immunoreactivity appeared in AII amacrine cells, amacrine cells of a widefield type and displaced amacrine cells. A few bipolar cells are also showed the reactivity. During diabetes, the intensity of parvalbumin immunoreactivity is decreased especially in the AII amacrine cells. The cell number of parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons has showed no large changes throughout the diabetes, except that of bipolar cells. That population of parv immunoreactive of bipolar cells has increased remarkably at later diabetic periods. The protein levels of parvalbumin have showed transiently a slight increase at earlier diabetic periods, and then decreased to lower than that of normal. Parvalbumin immunoreactive bipolar cells at diabetes are co-localized not with PKC-α or recoverin, but with glutamate transporter Glt-1b. AII amacrine cell processes were joined with each other and with axon terminals of presumed cone bipolar cells by gap junction. These results suggest that the calcium buffering activity of parvalbumin is shifted from AII amacrine cells to a certain type of cone bipolar cells, in response to diabetes. This event may be occurred through electrically coupled gap junction in between these cell processes.

        The incidence of pulmonary mycotic infection is increasing these days, and it can be frequently over-diagnosed as very well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma on sputum cytology due to its simi1ar morphology. Althouh each cell in pulmonary mycosis shows marked atypism or metaplastic changes, but we must considered the whole spectrums for differential diagnosis , ie. true tumor diathesis, volume of atypical cells, or chromatin pattern of the cell etc. Herein we report a case of pulmonary mycosis overdiagnosed as highly suspicious squamous cell carcinoma on sputum cytology.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze that neighborhood assessment tools develop and apply for Women-Friendly neighborhood Environment. For the study, we are developing neighborhood assessment tools and apply Asan Onyang 2&5Dong. The first result we derive a neighborhood assessment tool that can be applied through a literature review and case studies. Concretely, It proposed the crime safety, traffic and walking convenience, quality of the education environment, various living facilities, Green and landscape. The second we analyzed the study by questionnaire survey, mind map, interview. As a result, the mapping survey and inverviewed noted that the requirements and needs to be improved in a similar area. The third results obtained through the neighborhood to environmental characteristics to verify the factors affecting the quality of life of women crime safety, traffic and walking convenience, quality of the education environment, various living facilities, Green and landscape were found to have a significant correlation.

        인슐린의존성 당뇨병이 유도된 흰쥐의 신경망막에서 AII 무축삭세포의 연접이전 신경세포의 변화

        칼슘결합단백질인 parvalbumin은 신경망막에서 속핵층의 AII 및 넓은-수용영역 무축삭세포와 신경절세포층의 전위무축삭세포에서 발현되며, 당뇨병 상태에서 parvalbumin 발현은 AII 무축삭세포에서 저하되나, AII 무축삭세포와 전기연접을 형성하고 있는 원뿔이극세포에서 증가됨이 이미 보고되었다. 본 연구는 당뇨병 망막에서 AII 무축삭세포에서 parvalbumin 발현이 저하되는 원인을 규명하고자 AII 무축삭세포의 연접이전 신경세포들의 변화를 면역화학적 방법으로 추적하고자 하였다. 생후 8주 된 Sprague-Dawely계 흰쥐를 실험동물로 하여 streptozotocin의 정맥 내 주사로 당뇨병을 유발시켰으며, 300 mg/dL 이상의 혈당치를 나타낸 동물들을 각각 1, 4, 12 및 24주 경과시켜 사용하였다. 각 시기의 동물로부터 분리된 망막에 parvalbumin, protein kinase C (PKC)-α 및 tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) 항체를 사용한 면역조직화학법과 Western blot법을 시행하였다. 막대이극세포는 PKC-α에 면역 표지된 축삭종말을 주로 속얼기층의 5층으로 뻗고 있었다. 당뇨병 12주 및 24주 때 막대이극세포의 축삭은 짧아져 있었고 축삭종말은 다소 확장된 양상을 나타내었다. 당뇨병 때 PKC-α의 농도 변화는 크게 나타나지 않았다. TH 면역반응 신경세포는 속핵층의 무축삭세포로서 형태학적으로 두 종류로 구분되었다. 즉, 큰세포체와 길게 뻗은 일차 가지돌기를 지닌 세포 유형 (1형)과 작은 세포체와 가지돌기나무 (dendritic arborization)를 지닌 세포 유형(2형)이다. 속얼기층과 속핵층의 경계부위에 TH 면역반응 돌기들의 고리구조가 조밀하게 분포되어 있었다. 당뇨병 망막에서 1형 TH 무축삭세포의 면역반응성이 저하되어 나타났으나, 2형 무축삭세포의 반응성은 크게 변하지 않았다. 면역반응성의 저하와 더불어 TH 단백질의 농도 또한 당뇨병 시기 동안 저하되는 경향을 나타냈다. 이상의 결과로 망막의 TH 면역반응성 무축삭세포가 막대이극세포보다 당뇨병 상해에 대하여 더 민감한 반응을 보이며, 따라서 당뇨병 때 AII 무축삭세포에서의 parvalbumin 발현 저하가 주로 연접이전 도파민성 신경세포의 기능이상에 의한 것임을 유추할 수 있었다. It has been previously reported that parvalbumin expression was downregulated in AII amacrine cells, while upregulated in a subset of cone bipolar cells electrically synapse with AII amacrine cell in the streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat retina. In the present study, we aimed to trace biochemical changes of pre-synaptic neurons to AII amacrine cells in rat retina following diabetic injury. Diabetic condition was induced by streptozotocin injection into Sprague-Dawley rats aged of 8 weeks. The experimental term of induced diabetes was set at 1, 4, 12 and 24 weeks. Changes of pre-synaptic neurons were evaluated by immunohistochemistry and Western blot analysis with anti-protein kinase C (PKC)-α and anti-tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) antibodies. Rod bipolar cells immunolocalized with PKC-α antibody extended their enlarged axon terminals into stratum 5 of the inner plexiform layer. In later diabetes, the axon was shorten and its terminals of rod bipolar cell are slightly enlarged. The protein levels of PKC-α were slightly increased along with the duration of diabetes. TH immunoreactive neurons are morphologically classified into two subtypes of amacrine cells in the inner nuclear layer: one (type 1) has large soma with long and primary dendrites, classified with dopaminergic, and the other (type 2) has small soma with dendritic arborization. In the outermost inner plexiform layer, ring-like structures being composed of type 1 cell processes were densely distributed. In diabetic retina, the intensity of TH immunoreactivity in type 1 neurons was reduced. In accordance with morphological changes, the protein levels of TH were reduced during diabetes. These results demonstrate that TH immunoreactive dopaminergic amacrine cells are more susceptible to diabetic injury than the rod bipolar cells in the rat retina and may suggest that downregulation of parvalbumin expression in AII amacrine cells of diabetic retina is mainly due to dysfunction of pre-synaptic dopaminergic amacrine cells.

        여성들의 동네만족도와 동네애착, 이주의사에 영향을 미치는 근린환경특성에 대한 실증분석

        The purpose of this study is to develop neighborhood assessment tools from the perspective of women in order to evaluate neighborhood environments and suggest better policies and planning practices for women-friendly neighborhood environments. To do so, we analyze correlations between women’s quality of life and the neighborhood environment. Specifically, we gave female participants a mapping survey, interview, and questionnaire to collect data targeting women living in Onyang 2-dong and 5-dong in Asan city. First, we developed a neighborhood assessment tool derived from an extensive literature review and particular case studies. The mapping and interview surveys indicated that specific aspects neighborhood life needed to be improved in a similar area. In particular, women complained about Onyangoncheon station, a commercial area, and detached house area. Second, analysis of the neighborhood environmental factors affecting women’s neighborhood satisfaction, crime safety, traffic and walking environment, accessibility of living facilities, green and public spaces and childcare environment were statistically significant. Of these, the inclusion of green and public spaces was the most influential factor. Third, the neighborhood environmental factors affecting women’s neighborhood attachment, crime safety, traffic and walking environment, accessibility of living facilities, green and public spaces and childcare environment were statistically significant. Of these, accessibility of living facilities appeared to be the most influential factor. Fourth, the neighborhood environmental factors affecting women’s housing mobility decisions, crime safety, traffic and walking environment, accessibility of living facilities, green and public spaces and childcare environment were statistically significant. Of these, childcare environment was the most influential factor.
