AlSi-Al$_2$O$_3$ composite layer was prepared by plasma spray on steel substrate. The composite powder for plasma spray was prepared by simple mechanical blending. The wear resistance of the composite layers and matrix aluminum alloy were performed in terms of size distribution of ceramic particles. Friction coefficients of AlSi were decreased with incorporation of $Al_2$O$_3$. The tribological properties of coated layers were affected by the size of incorporated $Al_2$O$_3$ particle. The reinforcement of $Al_2$O$_3$ particle into aluminum alloy matrix decreased the friction coefficient as well as wear loss.

Silicon nitride filter material for DPF was prepared by reaction sintering process from Si powder and additives. The thermal and chemical reactivity of prepared filter materials was evaluated compared to conventional cordierite filter material. Silicon nitride showed superior property in acid and chemical resistance than cordierite.

Although laser texturing technology is known for effective method to improve the tribological performance of friction surface for years, new applications are reported. Up to date, laser texturing approaches found in the literature are mainly discussed about the dimple shape cases or its friction effect problems. In this paper attempts to investigate the effect of friction reduction due to micro-scale dimple pattern on Piston ring versus cylinder liner. Tribological experiments were conducted with the Piston top ring(CrN coated SAE 9254) patterned for line marking . Marking laser with a scanner were used for the laser texturing process.

The studies on the fine processing on the surface of the metal utilizing the technique for LST (Laser surface texturing) have been performed recently. This study has acquired the lower frictional coefficient and endurance in the harsh environment of motion by realizing the frictional motion in the low lubricating range of low frictional coefficient in addition to storing of lubricant through fine processing on the frictional part of metal.

Computational fluid dynamic analysis (CFD) was used to analyze photocatalyst responses and fluid in accordance with the influx of air.

Laser texturing technology produces shallow dimples that serve as reservoirs for fluid media and trap the wear debris on material faces, so increase the lubrication efficiency of the materials. STD6l steel specimen has been fabricated by using laser texturing method to investigate friction characteristics through gap, depth and diameter. Marking laser system for laser texture showed reasonable results to modify dimple depth and size of steel. On specific lubricant condition. laser textured materials kept longer low friction characteristic than non treated material. After laser texturing, polishing process is positively necessary to remove the spatters attached on the surface. When used on well-controlled dimple surface. the test process results in substantial reductions in friction.

Differential pressure sensor for DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is the important part of a automobile exhaust system. This device measures the pressure of before DOC and after DPF to determine whether the DPF regenerate. In this paper reliability assessment criteria for DPF differential pressure sensor are established on terms of quality calcification test and lifetime test. The former quality certification test comprises general erformance test and environmental test. Items which pass the test undergo lifetime test which guarantees the extent of mean lifetime with certain confidence.

ZnO 2-D nanowall structure with around 100 nm thickness, which is composed of tens of nm scale ZnO single crystals, was fabricated through the low temperature chemical solution growth method. Electro Chemical Deposition (ECD) technique was applied to attach the ZnO seed crystals on ITO coated glass substrate. The ZnO nanowall structure was grown in the 0.015 mol$\%$ of aqueous solution of zinc nitrate and hexamethenamine at 60$^{\circ}C$ for 20 - 40 h. The nanowall structure depends on the ECD condition or the applied voltage and duration time. The nanowall shows a photoluminescence around 550 - 700 nm spectrum range.
