        온도측정에 의한 산화아연형 피뢰기 진단

        In this paper, surface temperatures of ZnO arresters as a function of ambient temperatures and leakage currents were experimentally investigated. The variations of the leakage current was below 10㎂, which comes about 4.5% of the normal leakage current. Temperature differences between the ambient and the surface of arresters were not shown until 150% to the normal leakage current, and were remarkable over 200%.From the results, we deduced a couple of polynomials which enables the calculation of the leakage current by the measurement of surface temperature. Tests on used arresters have shown the same results as the experimental one. Also, we expect that an arrester diagnosis is possible by measuring the surface temperature of them after more studies on the effect of wind, moisture penetration, and arrester types.

        저압용 전기전자기기에 부분방전시험의 적용을 위한 기초연구

        This paper deals with the application of a partial discharge (PD) test on low-voltage electrical and electronic devices, which is recently being accepted as a non-destructive and a effective dielectric test method. A comparative analysis combined with the Withstand Voltage Test (WVT) specified in IEC standards was carried out on low-voltage insulation transformers. The results showed that the WVT causes insulation degradation of the specimen during the test by applying high voltage. However, the PD test can be performed in ranges from 30 % to 50 % of the test voltage specified in the WVT. Therefore, the PD test is successfully applicable for a non-destructive test method on low-voltage electrical and electronic devices as a replacement of the WVT.

        전력선 통신 기술을 이용한 조명제어 스위치의 개발

        Lighting control switches based on the power line communication technology are developed and extended to incorporate dimming control to provide energy saving and appropriate illumination. The developed switch uses a general purpose microprocessor and associated electronics. Both the power line communication and the dimming function are implemented in one microprocessor, and it enables the low price commercialization.The frequency of the carrier was set at 250kHz considering the transmission data length and signal attenuation in power lines.Tests on prototypes in an low-voltage power lines have shown that the switches have a robust operation characteristics with the length of power lines and the variation of load capacities. 본 논문에서는 전력선 통신과 조광 기술을 기반으로 에너지 절약과 적정 조도의 제어가 가능한 조명제어 스위치의 개발에 대하여 기술하였다. 개발된 스위치는 범용의 마이크로프로세서와 주변 전자기술을 이용하며, 하나의 마이크로프로세서로 전력선 통신과 조광기능을 구현함으로서 저가격 상용화가 가능하였다. 캐리어 주파수는 전송 데이터 길이와 신호감쇄를 고려하여 250kHz로 설정하였다. 저압선로에서 시제작품에 대한 시험결과, 본 스위치는 전력선의 길이와 부하용량의 변동에 대해 강인하게 동작하는 것을 확인하였다.

        저압용 전열수구에서 방전 신호의 발생과 검출에 관한 연구

        The objectives of this paper are to provide information on the characteristics of the discharge signals in a low-voltage indoor outlet. Most of electrical fires are caused by short circuits, overheating of wires, deterioration and incomplete connection of wiring devices. The last two cases are predictable before the occurrence of fire because of its slow progress. We have simulated the discharge signals caused by the deterioration and incomplete connection of wiring devices using aged outlets. From the experimental data, we could characterize the frequency spectrums of the discharge signals depending on the cases. The higher frequency components of the signal are attenuated by the capacitance and inductance of power lines as the measuring point is getting away from the discharges. Main frequency components of the discharge signal are existent at 600kHz - 1.5MHz in incomplete connections and at 210kHz - 8MHz in deteriorations of the outlet.

        This paper describes the design and fabrication of a partial discharge(PD) analyzer to evaluate insulation performance for low-voltage electrical and electronic devices. The analyzer consists of an adjustable AC power supply, a coupling network, an amplifier, a shielding encloser, a sample-hold (S/H) circuit and a data acquisition (DAQ) board. The analyzer holds the height of PD pulse for 10 ㎲ by the S/H circuit, and this makes possible to measure PD pulses having fast rise and short duration by a low speed analog-to-digital (AID) converter. The data are transmitted to the personal computer through the DAQ board, and the designed analysis program calculate apparent charges, discharge inception and extinction voltages.

        Selection and application recommendations of lightning arresters for DC electric traction vehicles are presented. To decide arrester specification such as continuous operating voltage (COV, U<SUB>C</SUB>), rated voltage (U<SUB>R</SUB>), and nominal discharge current (I<SUB>n</SUB>), variations of system voltage and surge currents flowing arresters were analyzed in running-service of traction vehicles. System voltages increased up to 1,800 V during anti-breaking. Surge currents recorded 3 times per running-service-route and their magnitudes were ranges of 150 A ~ 2 ㎄. From the field measurement and consideration of EN50163, COV, U<SUB>C</SUB>, and U<SUB>R</SUB> for the 1,500 V<SUB>DC</SUB> traction vehicles were proposed.

        GIS 피뢰설비 관리를 위한 전문가 시스템 구현

        본 논문은 가스절연변전소에 설치되어 있는 피뢰설비의 감시와 진단이 가능한 전문가 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대하여 기술하였다. 제안한 전문가 시스템은 마이크로프로세서 기반의 데이터 취득 모듈과 진단 알고리즘으로 구성되며, 피뢰기 진단에 필요한 계통전압, 누설전류성분 및 온도 등을 검출하고 분석한다. 또한 서지전류의 발생시각, 극성 및 크기를 기록할 수 있는 지능형 서지 카운터를 내장하고 있다. 측정된 모든 데이터는 IEEE 802.15.4에 규정된 저속 무선망을 통해 원격지의 컴퓨터로 전송되며, 이로 인해 고전압 대전류 환경에서도 전자계 간섭을 피할 수 있다. 전문가 시스템에서 피뢰기의 진단은 지식 베이스와 추론 엔진, 그리고 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스로 구성된 JESS(Java Expert System Shell)를 이용하여 결정한다. This paper dealt with the design and implementation of an expert system to monitor and diagnose the lightning arresters in GIS substations. The expert system consists of a data acquisition module(DAM) based on microprocessor and diagnostic algorithms. The DAM measures and analyzes several parameters necessary for the arrester diagnosis such as system voltages, leakage current components, and temperatures. Also, it includes an intelligent surge counter which can record the date and time, the polarity, and the amplitude of surge currents. All the data acquired is transmitted to a remote computer by a low rate wireless network specified in IEEE 802.15.4 to avoid electromagnetic intereference under high voltage and large current environments. The decision-making for the arrester diagnosis completes with a Java Expert System Shell(JESS) which is composed of a knowledge base, an inference engine and a graphic user interface(GUI).

      • 직류 전동차용 피뢰기 진단기술

        This paper describes the performance evaluation and the diagnostic technique for DC railway arresters. We carried out field measurements on DC electric train to know the frequency and the magnitude of surge currents generated. Surge currents of 1 ~ 3 times were recorded in one running service route and their magnitudes were ranges of 150 A ~ 2 ㎄. A surge current generator which produces 8/20 , 10 ㎲ was set-up and an acceleration ㎄ experiment was carried out to propose an optimum diagnostic standard for the DC electric railway arresters. After the repetitive application of 3,000 times, the reference voltage decreased by 4.5 % and the leakage current was below 10 A at 1650 ㎶, maximum continuous operating voltage (MCOV). Also, we designed a railway arrester tester which is based on the experimental results. The tester analyzes reference voltage and leakage current automatically, and decides the arrester condition.
