Recently the gasoline engine tends to high performance, fuel economy and to be small-sized. Therfore it is necessary to solve the problems on thermal load, abnormal combustion, etc in the engine. For the experimental measurement of instantaneous surface temperature of cylinder head of DOHC engine, the instantaneous temperature probes and data acquisition system were made to measure the thermal load The instantaneous wall temperature and the unsteady instantaneous heat flux of the cylinder head are measured and analyzed in order to obtain the basic data for the design of the combustion chamber of DOHC engine.

The design of sealing mechanisms of a manual pressure valve was analyzed with FE analysis for a hydrogen fuels charge and discharge system of FCEV. The damage prediction of the O-ring with respect to the material models of rubbers was calculated by the gap analysis of the backup ring and O-ring according to the internal pressure. Two kinds of the rubber material characteristic models were adopted to the O-ring. One was the linear elastic and the other was hyperelastic of Ogden $3^{rd}$ order model. The experimental data of urethane of Shore hardness 90 was utilized to the curve fitting of hyperelastic properties. It was found that the contact pattern of the backup ring was different in two models and the sealing mechanism was better in the case of the hyperelastic characteristic model.

Recently, Transmission of vehicle is a growing tendency to be equipped with an automatic transmission consistently for the driver’s convenience and comfort. It is well known that the factors – clutch size, friction coefficient of clutch, gear ratio step and clutch apply pressure characteristics – exert influence on the quality improvement of automatic transmission. Improvement of solenoid valve oil pressure characteristic for the clutch actuating hydraulic control system considered in this study. An automatic transmission solenoid valve is divided VFS (Variable Force Solenoid) valves and On-Off solenoid valves. In detail, the VFS valves considered in the study. The VFS valve is divided operating parts and pressure control parts. The oil pressure characteristics are depends on shape and location of the spool. Therefore, the study is proved improvement of hydraulic characteristics through the method by oil pressure test and simulation.

Recently, environmental regulation is tightened up gradually worldwide, an automaker and a related part business company can say that development of the automatic in-variable-speed machine with which increase of driver demand matters, such as a demand and safety of a extra-low fuel expenses car, and convenience, automated, and efficiency was maximum-ized by environmental affinity automobile development is indispensable. The high performance solenoid valve is adopted to hydraulic control system for hydraulic control solenoid valve in automatic transmission. In this paper cutting down time being needed for an optimization design and trial product development through an electromagnetic field interpretation and a computational fluid dynamics interpretation in development of the hydraulic control solenoid valve applied to an automatic transmission, and contributing to development expense reduction effect by efficiency-development tends to grasp an hydraulic control solenoid valve and valve body matching.
