Mobile robots can offer services like intelligent monitoring in an indoor environment using network connection with remote users. In this paper, we designed and developed a networked security robot system with various sensors, such as flame detector, gas detector, sound monitoring module, and temperature sensor, etc. The robot can be accessed through a web service and the user can check the status of the environment. Using ADAMS software, we defined the motor specification for a worst-case condition of climbing over a obstacle. We applied the robot system in monitoring office condition.
Chemical Decontamination Design for NPP Decommissioning and Considerations on its Methodology

Decontamination is one of the crucial technologies that are applied during the decommissioning process of nuclear facilities to secure the safety of workers and to minimize the quantity of radioactive waste. Decontamination removes radionuclides on the surface of contaminated metal. Compared with decontamination for operational nuclear facilities, decontamination for nuclear power plants that are being decommissioned needs to remove the more and thicker surface using more aggressive agents or specially developed equipment. This paper analyzed the factors to be considered before planning the decontamination, representative decontamination technologies, and their application procedure,etc .

코로나19 확산 초기의평생학습 참여 양상 변화와 그 함의

코로나19 팬데믹으로 인한 비대면 원격수업은 학교교육과 평생학습 분야에 학력격차라는 심각한 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나 학교교육에서는 이와 관련된 연구가 활발하게 진행된 반면 평생학습 분야에서는 실증적인 연구가이루어지지 못했다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 코로나19 확산 초기 우리나라 평생학습 분야에서 발생한 전반적인 변화의 특징을 파악하기 위해 평생학습 전체 참여율, 원격형태를 통한 평생학습 참여 비율, 계층 간 평생학습 참여율의 격차를 평생학습 개인실태조사 를 바탕으로 비교·분석하였다. 자료를 분석한 결과, 전반적으로는 이 세 가지 영역에서의 변화가 두드러지지 않았으나 세부적으로는 상당히 다른 수준의 변화가 나타났다. 따라서 본문에서는 이들 세 가지 영역에서 얻어진 분석 결과를 종합하여 지금까지 평생학습 분야에서 감지된 변화와 그 변화가 앞으로의 우리나라평생학습 영역에 주는 함의가 무엇인지 논의하려 한다.

Integrated process with coagulation and microfiltration as an advanced water treatment has been expanded its application in recent years due to its superb removal of particles and natural organic matter. In usual, effectiveness of coagulation sometimes determines performance of the whole system. Several new polymeric coagulants introduced to water utilities for better efficiency were studied in this paper. Three polymeric coagulants (i.e., PACl, PACs, and PAHCs) along with alum were evaluated for removal of natural organic matter, especially for reduction of trihalomethane formation potential, for which regulation has become stringent. Turbidity removal was closely related to pH variation showing the reduced turbidity removal by PACs due to the decreases in the pH of supernants at high doses. The four coagulants showed different organic matter removal during coagulation and affected the removal in microfiltration. For instance, DOC concentration was not reduced by microfiltration when PAHCs were used however 10 % of DOC removal was observed by microfiltration with alum coagulation. Coagulation pretreatment also impacted the THM removals, i.e., approximately 30 % of THMs and 13 % of DOC was removed by microfiltration only, but 40 to 67 % of THMs and 30.1 % of DOC was removed by the integrated process. Strategies on selection of coagulants are needed depending on characteristics of target pollutants in raw waters.
