The rise of electrification and the advancement of autonomous driving technologies are leading to new forms of mobility, such as serving and delivery robots. However, due to factors such as the small-scale production of various products and the high cost of autonomous driving sensors, product prices have risen, limiting accessibility to consumers. To improve this, we developed a multi-purpose mobility platform that is mass-producible, based on inexpensive, reliable sensors and a configurable human tracking system. As a result, the unit price is approximately 50% of the launch prices of other mobility products, and additional cost savings are possible through component optimization in the future. In addition, more added value will be created through the distribution of integrated mobility platforms that can be combined with various usable modules to meet a variety of user needs, such as cargo transportation, wheelchair power kits, and mobile monitors.

Recently, the authors of this paper proposed newly the correlation model to calculate the horizontal global solar radiation in Korea based the Zhang-Huang (ZH) model proposed in 2002 for China. Previous study was pronounced the correlation with a new term of the duration of sunshine proved as being closely related with the hourly solar radiation in Korea into ZH model. And then another modified correlation for the regions without measuring cloud cover was proposed and evaluated the accuracy and validity for those regions. So, this study was performed to propose modified correlation to calculate the horizontal global solar irradiance of non-measuring cloud-cover regions. Finally, this study proposed the new correlation that could well predict hourly and daily total solar radiation for all regions, various seasons, and various weather conditions including overcast and clear, with higher accuracy and lower error than other models proposed ever before in Korea for non-measuring cloud-cover regions.

Recently, due to the climate change by global warming, the amount of snow has increased. The situations were demanded to use many snow removal materials. The snow removal materials that used in Korea were solid chloride deicing material. That is calcium chloride($CaCl_2$) and sodium chloride(NaCl). Solid chloride baesd snow removal materials have various property, for example good freezing point depression, deliquescence and economical solvents. However, there are problems such as water pollution, high corrosiveness and ecocide. For such reason, development of eco-friendly deicer was required obligatorily. This study investigated development situation of eco-friendly deicer materials.

Ignitor tip is a component of burner to start the burning process in power plant. This is used to ignite the coal to a constant operating state by fuel mixed with air and kerosene. This component is composed of three components so that air and kerosene are mixed in the proper ratio and injected uniformly. Because the parts with the designed shape are manufactured in the machining process, they have to be made of three parts. These parts are designed to have various functions in each part. The mixing part mixes the supplied air and kerosene through the six holes and sends it to the injecting part at the proper ratio. The inject part injects mixed fuel, which is led to have a constant rotational direction in the connecting part, to the burner. And the connecting plate that the mixed fuel could rotate and spray is assembled so that the flame can be injected uniformly. But this part causes problems that are worn by vibration and rotation because it is mechanically assembled between the mixing part and the inject part. In this study, 3D printing method is used to integrate a connecting plate and an inject part to solve this wear problem. The 3D printing method could make this integrated part because the process is carried out layer by layer using a metal powder material. The part manufactured by 3D printing process should perform the post process such as support removal and surface treatment. However, while performing the 3D printing process, the material properties of the metal powders are changed by the laser sintering process. This change in material properties makes the post process difficult. In consideration of these variables, we have studied the optimization of manufacturing process using 3D printing method.

Accurate simulation of wakeshapes behind a wing is important for the performance prediction of the aircraft and the wake hazard problem in the airport. In the present study, wakeshapes behind a wing inside tunnels are simulated in regard to the development of wing-in-ground effect vehicles. A discrete vortex method with a nonplanar ground modelling is used for the simulation. It was found that the wingtip vortices move toward outboard directions when the wing is in ground effect. When the wing is placed inside tunnels, the wingtip vortices move along the tunnel wall with counter clockwise direction. As the gap between the wingtip and the tunnel decreases, the wingtip vortices move further along the tunnel wall. Both vortices from bothsides of the wing will murge, which will be studied in future using a viscous computation.

Robot usually requires spline motion to move through multiple knots. In this paper, catmull-rom spline method is applied to the trajectory planning of industrial robot in task space. Centripetal catmull-rom is selected to avoid self-intersection and slow motion which can be occurred in uniform and chordal spline. The method to set two control points are proposed to satisfy velocity conditions of initial and final knots. To optimize robot motion, time scaling method is presented to minimize margin between real robot value and maximum value in velocity and acceleration. The simulation results show that the proposed methods are applied to trajectory planning and robot can follow the planned trajectory while robot motion does not exceed maximum value of velocity and acceleration.

The rotating electrodynamic wheels can produce three-axial forces on the conductive target. The forces are linked strongly each other, and their magnitudes depend on the rotating speed of the wheel. However, the wheels can be used effectively as an actuating principle for transfer system of conductive material. The conductive material is a pipe with a constant cross-section or a conductive plate. In this paper, a few applications using the electrodynamic wheels as transferring means are introduced including the full description of the real hardware implementation.
가상스프링 모델의 안정성 영역에 대한 가상질량의 영향에 대한 연구

This paper presents the effects of a virtual mass on the stability boundary of a virtual spring in the haptic system. A haptic system consists of a haptic device, a sampler, a virtual rigid body and zero-order-hold. The virtual rigid body is modeled as a virtual spring and a virtual mass. According to the virtual mass and the sampling time, the stability boundary of the virtual spring is analyzed through the simulation. As the virtual mass increases, the value of the virtual spring to guarantee the stability gradually increases and then decreases after reaching the maximum value. These simulation results show that the addition of the virtual mass enables to expand the stability boundary of the virtual spring.

In this paper, we will introduce the overview of new project dealing how to increase of refrigeration cycle COP using nano-fluids, CuO, TiO2, Al2O3, that are used on similar previous studies. Recently many studies were performed to show the effect of nano-fluids at refrigeration cycle. But, the reason was not cleared yet. In general, the flow phenomena at the evaporator were guessed to be mixed with the partial pool boiling condition and the flow boiling condition from the previous results not published yet. So, we hope that the COP increase of refrigeration cycle will be verified and showed through this project.

Based on Regional Industry Development Plan in 2014, machinery part industry and medical instrument industry has been designated as core industries of Chung-buk area. Machinery part industry plays an important role in economic growth of chung-buk area and it has been faced with signigicant changes - such as SMART factory and IoT(Internet of things). Also, medical instrument industry with 3D printing technology grows rapidly in Chung-buk area. It is believed that medical instrument could be next cash-cow items for Chung-buk area. In this paper, we survey, analyze and summarize the current machinery part industry and medical instrument industry focused on Chunk-buk Area.
