한국의 문헌정보학 교육을 위한 표준교육과정 개발에 관한 연구

Since the curriculum of the department of library and information science for nurturing librarians and teacher-librarians is not standardized and the education scope and content of subjects for each exam to recruit librarians and teacher-librarians is also not standardized, the objectivity and credibility required for national exam are not guaranteed. This study is for developing a standard curriculum as one of the solutions regarding the foregoing problem. To achieve the goal of this study, first of all, the requirements for librarians and teacher-librarians and a national exam related to Teacher Certification Examination, regulation, and implementation rules were reviewed. Secondly, the justification of the suggested subjects through analyzing prior studies for developing a curriculum for library and information science was reviewed. Thirdly, the subjects resulted from the two foregoing methods were confirmed as a standard curriculum for library and information science through a focus group discussion among practicing librarians. 사서 및 사서교사의 양성을 목적으로 하는 문헌정보학과의 교육과정이 표준화되어 있지 않을 뿐만 아니라 사서(사서교사)를 선발하기 위한 각종 시험에서 채택되는 교과목에 대한 교육 영역과 교육 내용도 표준화되어 있지 않아 국가고시에서 요구되는 객관성과 신뢰성을 담보하지 못하는 결과를 초래하고 있다. 본 연구는 전술한 현장의 문제에 대한 해결책의 하나로 한국의 문헌정보학 교육을 위한 표준교육과정을 개발하고자 하였다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 사서 및 사서교사의 자격기준 및 임용고시와 관련된 국가의 고시 및 령과 시행규칙 등을 검토하고 둘째, 문헌정보학 교육과정 개발에 관한 선행연구의 분석을 통하여 제시된 교과목들의 타당성을 검토하며 셋째, 전술한 두 가지 방법에 의해서 도출된 교과목들에 대하여 최종적으로 도서관 현장 사서들을 대상으로 한 포커스그룹토의를 통하여 문헌정보학 표준교육과정을 제시하였다.

공공도서관의 전략경쟁분석에 관한 연구 - C도서관의 사례를 중심으로 -

For a public library. which is a regional information service agency. to acquire high competitiveness, preparation for uncertainties of future through understanding its own internal strengths and weaknesses. and external opportunities and threats based on assessments regarding knowledge information environment and characteristics of regional community. current status of the library, etc. Therefore. in this study, through SWOT analysis. one of competitive strategy analysis methods, the status of competitive strategy of C library was analyzed. In order to carry out the study interview and survey were performed with professional librarians, then through final consultations from management consulting experts, a plan to strengthen competitiveness for C library was devised. Conclusions from this study were as below. In order to strengthen competitiveness of C library offering distinguished high quality services through active cooperations with external institutions, efforts to improve library's position and stand following being selected as a library to visit for 2006 World Library and Information Congress, and revitalization of library usage through providing user oriented differentiated services are needed.

시나리오기법을 통한 도서관 서비스의 미래예측에 관한 연구

본 연구는 도서관이 미래의 변화를 감지하고 예측하여 변화에 능동적으로 대처해야 한다는 전제아래 미래예측기법의 하나인 시나리오기법을 통하여 도서관 서비스의 미래를 예측한 것이다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 문헌연구와 도서관 홈페이지의 내용 분석, 전문사서와의 인터뷰를 실시하고, 그 결과 나타난 추세를 근거로 시나리오를 동하여 도서관 서비스의 중기 미래(5년-10년후)를 예측하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미래의 정보 환경은 모바일과 유비쿼터스 환경으로 대표되며, 이들을 통해서 언제, 어디서나, 어떠한 기기를 이용하더라도 다양한 미디어를 활용할 수 있게 된다. 둘째, 정보기술의 발전에 따른 시간적 지체, 단말기의 보급 속도, 도서관 서비스의 자세와 대응 속도, 저작권 문제 등이 미래 도서관의 불확실 요인으로 대두된다. 셋째, 기술의 보급 속도와 도서관 서비스의 발전 속도에 따라서 또한, 기술의 보급 속도와 저작권 문제의 해결 속도에 따라서 다양한 시나리오가 만들어진다. 넷째, 도서관은 끊임없이 변하는 정보기술의 추이를 상시적으로 분석하여 불확실 요인을 찾아내야 하며, 예측 가능한 시나리오를 개발하여 미래상황에 대처할 수 있는 전략적 방안을 개발하여야 한다. This study was to predict through the scenarios, one of the forecast technique the future of library service. In order to do that literature reviews, analysis of library's home page and specialist interview were conducted. As a result, it appeared that based on the scenarios to predict the middle future(after 5-10 years) of library service. The results of this study are as follows. The first the future information environment is represented by mobile md ubiquitous. Through this, anytime, anywhere, any device, we can be taken any media The second, the unreliable factors come out in time lag, the supply speed of terminals, library services, copyrights and so on. The third, as the supply speed of technique and the speed of technological development, the speed of technological development and the solution speed of digital copyright problem these make various scenarios. The fourth library try to find unreliable factors in constant change of the information technique, variety of internal factors. And strategy needs to dispose of various scenarios properly.

문화프로그램 운영에 있어서 학교도서관과 공공도서관 사서의 인식 및 선호도 연구

본 연구는 학교도서관과 공공도서관간의 협력 분야 중에서 문화프로그램을 중심으로 사서(사서교사)들의 인식과 선호도를 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 학교도서관과 공공도서관의 사서(사서교사)는 문화프로그램의 중요성을 긍정적으로 인식하고 있으며, 이들이 선호하는 문화프로그램의 유형은 참여형과 체험형이고, 선호하는 홍보수단은 온라인 공간(카페, 클럽, 홈페이지)이었다. 학교도서관과 공공도서관간의 협력사업 운영 시, 효과적 으로 활용할 수 있는 방법은 공공도서관 사서의 현장 방문을 통한 프로그램 진행과 개별 학교의 특성에 맞춘 연계프로그램의 참여였다. 협력수준으로는 기관간의 업무협약(MOU) 체결과 담당자간 협조체제를 선호하며, 평가 및 보고 방법은 문화프로그램 참여자의 만족도 조사였다. This study investigated librarians' perception and preference of cultural programs in the field of cooperation between school and public libraries. The findings are as follows: 1) Librarians and teacher librarians at school and public libraries perceive the importance of cultural programs in library service. 2) Online space was mostly preferred as a means of PR activities by librarians and teacher librarians at school and public libraries. 3) The preferred methods to cooperate projects between school libraries and public libraries were to implement programs through public librarians' field visiting, and to participate linkage program customized to individual school libraries. 4) Preferred types of cooperation were to sign MOU and to make a cooperative system between school libraries and public libraries.

사서의 핵심능력에 대한 대학도서관 사서의 인식에 관한 연구

본 연구는 2009년 1월 27일 미국도서관협회 평의원회에서 공표한 '사서의 핵심능력'에 대한 국내 대학도서관 사서들의 인식을 조사한 것이다. 이를 위하여 대학도서관 현장의 사서 17명을 대상으로 사전 교육 후, 설문조사를 실시하여 사서의 핵심능력에 명시된 8개 영역과 40개 세부능력에 대하여 각각의 중요도와 전공심화정도, 필요 교과목 등을 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 8개 영역별 중요도에서는 기록된 지식과 정보의 조직, 전문직 기초, 참고봉사와 이용자 서비스의 순으로 중요했으며, 전공심화정도에서는 전문직 기초, 연구, 참고봉사와 이용자 서비스의 순인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 사서의 핵심능력 배양에 필요한 교과목은 도서관경영론, 정보서비스론, 문헌정보학개론, 도서관정보정책론, 도서관연구방법론, 도서관자동화론의 순이었다.

SWOT 분석을 통한 도서관의 경쟁력 제고 방안에 관한 연구 - A대학교 도서관의 사례를 중심으로 -

도서관이 보다 효율적으로 운영되기 위해서는 도서관 내부의 강 약점과 외부의 기회 위협 요인 등을 파악하여 미래의 발생가능성을 예측하고, 이에 대응하기 위한 최적의 전략방안을도출하여 활용할 수 있어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 전략경쟁분석기법의 하나로 각광을 받고 있는 SWOT 분석을 통하여 A대학교 도서관의 전략경쟁을 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, A대학교 도서관의 강점은 도서관 직원의 전문성 체계적인 업무추진 계획 및 분장 디지털도서관 구축에 따른 고품질의 서비스 제공이다. 둘째, A대학교 도서관의 약점은 가용자원(인력, 예산, 공간)의 부족, 미래의 도서관 운영계획 부재, 능동적인 서비스 마인드의 부족이다. 셋째 A대학교 도서관의 기회는 디지털 정보환경에 따른 새로운 도약, 외부기관 및 도서관과의 교류협력 확대, 도서관 개방을 통한 지역거점 도서관으로의 위상 제고이다. 넷째, A대학교 도서관의 위협은 학교 당국의 도서관에 대한 인식 부족, 급변하는 정보환경에 따른 이용자의 다양한 정보요구, 강화된 저작권법에 따른 도서관 서비스의 제한이다. 다섯째, A대학교 도서관의 경쟁력 강화방안은 디지털 전문 인력의 확보를 통한 디지털 서비스의 강화, 외부기관 및 도서관과의 교류협력 강화를 통한 확장 서비스의 제공. 강화된 저작권법에 따른 차별화된 서비스의 개발이다. For a library to be run more efficiently, its internal strengths and weaknesses, external opportunities and threats must be determined for forecasting on the basis of the diagnosis of the internal and external environment and situations, and optimum strategies and measures responsively deducted and utilized. Therefore, I had analyzed the strategic competition of university A's library using SWOT analysis, which has recently been spotlighted as an effective strategic competition analysis method. The conclusions thus obtained are as explained below. Firstly. the strengths of university A's library are the professional qualifications of the employees. work efficiency based on systematic operative plans and division of work load, and provision of high quality service following the establishment of the digital library. Secondly, its weaknesses are the insufficiency and limits of the usable resources, the lack of progressive future operation plans and systems, and the deficiency of a positive service mind. Thirdly, the opportunities are the possibility for new developments in accordance with the digital information environment. reinforcement of the operative efficiency throughout expanding its cooperation with external organizations and other libraries, and its transformation as the local library hub by opening up to the public. Fourthly, the threats are the lack of the school authorities' acknowledgement. and the degradation of the library's status in accordance, the users' various requests for information and advanced professional service according to the rapidly changing information environment. and the restriction of the library service based on the copyright law. Fifthly, as a result of analyzing the strategic competition of university A's library, measures such as the reinforcement of digital service by acquiring digital specialists. provision of extended service through active cooperation with external institutes and libraries. development and provision of differentiated service in accordance with the reinforced copyright law were proposed to improve the library's future competitiveness.

의학도서관 웹사이트의 콘텐츠 분석에 관한 연구

본 연구는 한국의학도서관협의회 소속의 대학 및 병원도서관을 대상으로 웹사이트 구축현황을 살펴보고, 나아가 웹사이트를 운영하고 있는 국내 29개 의과대학도서관 웹사이트의 메뉴구성과 콘텐츠를 비교, 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 의학도서관 웹사이트의 메인메뉴는 소장자료검색, 전자정보원, 도서관서비스, My Library, 도서관안내, 게시판의 6개로 정리된다. 둘째, 의학도서관 웹사이트에서 제공하는 주요 정보서비스는 '자관 Pubmed, 원문복사/상호대차, 정보검색, 이용교육, 논문작성지원, SDI서비스, 모바일서비스, 학위논문제출, 참고정보원, 교외접속, 주제별서비스, 인용정보분석, 대출예약/연기, 희망도서신청, Q&A게시판'의 15가지이다. 셋째, 가장 많은 기관에서 제공하고 있는 정보서비스는 원문복사/상호대차이며, 다음은 '대출예약/연기, 희망도서신청, 교외접속, 이용교육, 참고정보원, Q&A게시판, 자관 Pubmed, 학위논문제출' 등의 순이다. This study examines the status of websites operation among libraries affiliated to the Korean Medical Library Association, compares and analyzes website menu organization and information service contents of 29 medical libraries that currently run websites. The followings are results of this study. 1) the main menu of medical library websites is arranged with 'Search for Library Materials, Electronic Resources, Library Service, My Library, Library Guide, and the Bulletin Board.' 2) 15 services were selected as the main information service provided from the medical library website. 3) the information service that was provided from the most institutions was 'Document Copy/ Interlibrary Loan,' followed by 'Loan Reservation/Renewal, Request Library Purchase Book, Off-campus Access, User Education, Reference Resources, Q&A Board, Our Library Pubmed, and Dissertation Submission' in this order.

6시그마 도구를 활용한 대학도서관 멀티미디어 서비스 개선 변수 도출에 관한 연구

This study analyzed the process of multimedia services and indexed the core quality characteristics through the tools employed in ‘Define’ and ‘Measure’ steps of the 6 Sigma DMAIC methodology. To achieve the goal, as a case study of ‘S’ University Central Library, first, brainstorming technique was used to tap the librarians, second, interview with the half-time student workers, third, user’s opinion on homepage was analyzed and lastly, the interview with the users. This study also drew some potential causal factors which would likely to affect the multimedia service using Process Map and C&E Diagram. Those factors were prioritized using X-Y matrix and Pareto Chart. This study revealed 14 factors affecting multimedia services: ‘presence/absence of the persons who are in charge of selection’, ‘cycle of selection materials’, ‘presence/absence of seperated multimedia room’, ‘materials arrangement method’, ‘notification of popular materials’, ‘notification of documents arrivals’, ‘methods of noticing new arrivals’, ‘methods of ordering materials’, ‘cycle of checking order status’, ‘types of persons requesting materials’, ‘methods of requesting materials’, ‘checking of the status of the returned materials’, ‘methods of noticing materials in housed’, and ‘methods of ways to return overdue materials’. 본 연구는 6시그마 DMAIC 방법론의 정의(Define)와 측정(Measure) 단계의 기법들을 활용하여 대학도서관 멀티미디어 서비스 개선에 영향을 미치는 주요 변수들을 도출하였다. 이를 위하여 S대학교 중앙학술정보관의 사례를 중심으로 현장 사서들의 브레인스토밍, X-Y Matrix와 특성요인도 작성, 도서관 홈페이지를 통한 이용자 의견 분석, 이용자 인터뷰 등을 통하여 대학도서관 멀티미디어 서비스의 프로세스를 분석하고, 핵심 품질특성을 지표화하였다. 그리고 Process Map과 특성요인도를 통하여 멀티미디어 서비스에 영향을 미치는 잠재원인변수들을 도출하고, 도출한 잠재원인변수를 X-Y Matrix와 Pareto Chart에 의하여 우선순위화하여 멀티미디어 서비스에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 ‘자료 선정 전담자 유무’, ‘자료 선정주기’, ‘독립된 멀티미디어실 운영 유무’, ‘자료 배가 방법’, ‘인기자료 안내 여부’, ‘입수자료 통보 여부’, ‘신간 자료 안내 방법’, ‘구입주문 처리 방법’, ‘주문자료 진행사항 점검 주기’, ‘자료 신청자 유형’, ‘자료 신청 방법’, ‘반납 시 자료 상태 점검 여부’, ‘소장자료 목록 안내 방법’, ‘연체자료 회수방법’의 14개 변수를 도출하였다.

기부금을 활용한 작은도서관 활성화 방안 연구

본 연구는 지역사회에서 커뮤니티센터 역할을 담당하고 있는 생활밀착형 작은도서관의 열악한 재정 상황을 극복하기 위하여 기업의 기부금 유치를 통한 작은도서관의 활성화 방안을 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 최근 1년간 기부실적이 있는 100개 기업을 대상으로 도서관 기부와 관련된 여러 상황과 인식 등을 알아보기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 또한 기부관련 업무를 담당하는 정책담당자와 민간단체 등 총 20명을 대상으로 심층 면접조사를 병행하여 기부금을 활용한 작은도서관의 활성화 전략을 사회적, 정책적, 제도적 측면에서 제안하였다. The purpose of this study for coming up with vitalization methods of small libraries by attracting corporate donations, in order to overcome inferior financial circumstances of small libraries in daily life that play a role community centers in regional communities. For this, a frequency analysis was conducted in order to examine various circumstances and cognitions regarding library donations from 100 corporations that made donations during the past year. Also, a cross-tabulation analysis was studied to identify factors that influence donations.

국립디지털도서관의 정보서비스 정책 수립에 관한 연구

For National Digital Library(NDL) to properly perform it's ideal function as a representative digital library in Korea, information service policy considering the IT and Ubiquitous environment shall be established. Information service policy of NDL was established with focus group interviews and a survey targeting the users and librarians in this study. To raise the propriety of information service policy, final draft of information service policy was proposed after the interim evaluation targeting the concerned parties of NDL and 1st & 2nd verification by external specialists and the consultation group. In this manner, vision, mission, goal, objective, strategy, etc of information service policy of NDL were proposed. Information service policy of NDL proposed in this study not only proposes the fact and base to other digital libraries that wishes to establish the information service policy and arrange detailed guidelines as a case study but also secures the direction and vision of global information service policy of NDL. Furthermore, it will contribute for NDL to build its reputation as a world renowned digital library. 국립디지털도서관(NDL)이 국가대표 디지털도서관으로서 본연의 기능을 수행하기 위해선 최신의 정보환경인 IT 및 유비쿼터스 환경을 고려한 정보서비스 정책이 수립되어야 한다. 본 연구는 전술한 필요성에 의거하여 포커스그룹 인터뷰와 이용자 및 사서를 대상으로 한 설문조사 분석을 통하여 NDL의 정보서비스 정책을 수립하였다. 또한, 수립된 정보서비스 정책의 타당성을 제고하기 위하여 국립중앙도서관 관계자들을 대상으로 한 중간 평가와 외부 전문가 및 자문단을 통한 1, 2차 검증을 통하여 최종적으로 NDL 정보서비스 정책의 비전, 사명, 목적, 목표, 전략 등을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 제시된 NDL의 정보서비스 정책은 초유의 연구사례로서 향후, 정보서비스 정책을 수립하고 세부지침을 마련하고자 하는 다른 디지털도서관에게도 경험적 사실과 근거를 제시하여 줄 것이다.
