The occurrences of thyrotoxicosis in patients with myasthenia gravis have been reported before the knowledge of the pathogenesis of the two disease. Thytotoxicosis is known to occur in 3 to 6 percent of patients with myasthenia gravis and myasthenia gravis occurs in only a fraction of 1 percent of the thyrotoxic populatian. Myasthenia gravis is currently considered as a systemic autoimmune disorder of acetylcholine receptor and often presented with other autoimmune diseases such as SLE, Rheumatoid arthritis. We experienced a 18-year-old woman who presented with graves disease and isolated ocular myasthenia gravis. Chest CT didnot reveal enlarged thymus. The usual treatement of myasthenia gravis associated with thymtoxicosis consists of medical control of the thyrotoxicosis, then thymectomy and later subtotal thyroidectomy. Her ptosis and thyrotoxicosis have improved after the medicatian of anticholinesterase and propylthiourecil. A case of ocular myasthenia gravis with Gravesdisease was experienced, so we reported the case with a brief review of literature (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 13:252-257, 1998).
고교 여자 테니스선수들의 근지구력과 체력요인에 관한 연구

This study was to examine the correlationship and charactehstics of isokinetic strength and physical fitness factors of elite high school female tennis players. There was no significant difference in Isokinetic strength of should muscles between the groups. Isokinetic strength of lumbar muscles was higher in elite group than in non-elite group. Isokinetic strength of quadriceps was higher in elite group than in non-elite group. Isokinetic strength of hamstring was higher in elite group than in non-elite group. There was no significant difference in agility between the groups. Power and systemic endurance were higher in elite group than in non-elite group. There were significant correlation among Isokinetic strengths of lumbar muscles, quadhceps and hamstring and total endurance.
중학생의 힙합 특기·적성교육 활동이 학업성취 목표성향과 여가만족에 미치는 영향

This study aims at identifying motivation of academic achievement and leisure satisfaction of secondary school students in hip-hop speciality and aptitude activities. For the purpose. it interviews 254 students who take hip-hop speciality and aptitude education from 8 secondary schools in G area using a questionnaire. The results of the study are presented as follows. First, As a result of analysing the difference in academic achievement motivation according to participating characteristics of hip-hop education. motivation of the students who are willing to participate in hip-hop education is higher while that of those who are forced to participate in by parents is lower. And for the students who have participated in hip-hop contest or seen it before, motivation works positively. Second, This study finds that motivation of the hip-hop education has a positive influence on leisure satisfaction. The more students are motivated, the higher satisfaction they have, which indicates that the motivation of the education has an important effect on the achievement of the speciality and aptitude education. Third, The educational objectives of the hip-hop education are classified into effort-type propensity and competition-type and they are analysed. This study finds that effort-type propensity has a significant effect on leisure satisfaction while competition-type propensity is not related to leisure satisfaction. Therefore, when students are motivated, focusing on their effort, their satisfaction is higher. Fourth, As a result of analysing influential relations of 4 sub-leisure satisfaction factors. this study finds that effort-type propensity has a positive effect on all the variables of satisfaction. In respect to priority, effort-type propensity has the most significant effect on satisfaction through understanding, followed by satisfaction in physical energy, social exchanges, and facilities and places. Therefore, it is found that the hip-hop education has the most significant effect on satisfaction when students have effort-type propensity. The propensity of the specialty-aptitude education has a positive effect on satisfaction in social exchanges while no effect on other variables. Therefore, it is suggested that competition-type propensity makes no contribution to the achievement of the specialty-aptitude education.

The Korean national soccer teams advance to the semifinals stumned the world during the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. In spite of this monumental achievement, Korean soccer needs to adopt advanced soccer skills to reach the top class of the world out of Asian area. This study is on how Korean soccer can be joined the elite ranks of soccer powerhouses by analyzing the advanced German soccer system and its youth clubs. To vitalize Korean soccer, school-oriented Korean soccer teams should apply the methods of a club-oriented German soccer club in which teenaged players can enjoy playing soccer and be trained systematically. In addition, Korean school soccer teams generally have a tendency to focus on wining games too much, nor they have enough games to improve their soccer skills. To deal with these difficulties, German style club system. which enable teenaged players to enjoy playing games, should be composed to vitalize, manage and lead the leagues. The government is asked to not only provide solid support to youth soccer clubs to attract teenagers to their clubs but also to make it mandatory for existing soccer teams to form their youth clubs. Rearing coaches and referees for youth soccer is urgent now to better Korean youth soccer teams. It is necessary to encourage soccer players and college graduates who major in soccer to join the soccer coach courses and upgrade the old system to provide better treatment to those who complete this courses. Due to the insufficient soccer playgrounds available, plans on training and using soccer facilities are needed to be well organized in advance to allow many teams practice more effectively.

Pleurotus ostreatus Koksa 9111 and one mutant selected from it were analyzed in morphological. physiological and molecular level. This mutant was named as K_(2)M. Also. three cultivars. Wonhyung-Neutari, Wonhyung 2 and Nonggi 201 were used as control To analyze these cultivars, (GTG)_(5) was used as diagnostic marker. N-J tree showed that Koksa 9111 and K_(2)M were clustered closely. However, the similarity index between them was lower than that between Wonhyung-Neutan and Wonhyung 2. These analyses suggest that K_(2)M can be recognized as another cultivar. Morphological and physiological analysis showed that K_(2)M was superior to Koksa 9111 in pileus colour, premordia forming and growth temperature, and fruit-body number per bundle. The taste and context of K_(2)M fruit-body were more excellent than those of Koksa 9111. These characteristics suggest that, in future. K_(2)M will be very useful as gene pool as u-ell as good cultivar.

고유가 시대의 교통 수단과 도시민의 교통 문제 그리고 자동차 환경영향 문제 등으로 인해 지하철의 역할과 확충이 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 지하철 대중화 요구에 따른 수요예측 기법과 설명변수를 분석하고, 이를 통해 지하철의 경영 환경에 효율적으로 대응함으로써 지하철 수요 확충의 정책적 기초 자료를 제공하는데 궁극적인 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 지방도시의 지하철을 중심으로 기존 노선의 수요예측 기법과 신설노선의 수송인원 예측을 위한 설명변수의 관계성을 분석하였다. 지방도시 지하철의 신설에 따른 수송인원 예측은 역의 수와 노선거리(㎞) 당 수송인원을 반응변수로 설정한다. 지하철의 수송 수요는 자기회귀오차모형에 따르며 계절추세가 반영되기 때문에 시계열분석모형으로 접근이 유효하다. 수요예측을 위한 경험적 관측치가 일정 기간 확보되지 않은 지방 지하철의 경우 대체 지표의 적용 가능성이 낮기 때문에 상수함수의 성격을 지닌다. 지하철 연장 노선과 설치 역의 수에 따른 장기적 수요예측은 지역 총인구 변수가 주요 설명요인으로 사용된다. 또한 지하철 수요예측에서 이상 기후, 교통체계 개편, 개통 효과 등은 불규칙 수요변동을 초래하는 이상 요인이다. 광주 지하철은 수도권과 부산지하철과의 분기별 주기와 상반된 반기별 계절주기 양상을 보이고 있으나 진폭은 상대적으로 큰 편이다. 또한 지하철 노선이 짧아 단순이동 수단 성격을 띠고 있어 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 잠재수요를 끌어내는 지하철 노선의 확충이 요구된다. High oil price, heavy traffic and environmental problems caused by harmful waste gas come to urge the expansion of subway lines. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for expanding city’s subway lines. The subjects of the study were subway lines of local cities. Explanatory variables to anticipate the number of passengers who would use newly-built line were mainly verified. To anticipate the number of passengers who would use newly-built line, the approaches of time series analysis and multiple regression analysis were applied. And response variables were the number of stations and the distance of the line(㎞). As season affects the number of passengers, time series analysis should be applied. Compared to capital regions, local areas are greatly influenced by season. The most important factor of local subways is the population of the city. There is a close relationship among population, the number of stations and line distance, which are main factors to anticipate the demand. Mathematical function between population and season is clearly revealed. Outlier variables like climate change, reformation of traffic system and service effects are significantly discovered. Among all explanatory variables, one changeable factor is traffic system. Public transportation like subway can lead to decentralizing passengers of public transportation, which means that more passengers will use subways instead of other transit systems.
