현재 열가소성 수지의 경우 국내의 수지 배합 노하우와 원료의 품질은 선진국인 일본, 미국, 독일 등에 비해 한참 뒤쳐져 있다. 따라서 높은 중합도를 얻지 못하거나 물성이 낮고 균일성이 떨어지는 등 고부가 가치 제품 생산 기술이 부족한 상황으로 자동차 부품에 적용하기 위해서 고내열성, 속경화성, 가공성, 내충격성을 가지는 열경화성 수지에 대한 개발이 시급하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자동차에 적용하기 위해 에폭시 수지의 취성을 개선하고 고내열성 에폭시 수지 및 속경화제를 합성하였고 최적의 경화특성 발현을 위해 경화 시간 및 조건에 따른 물성을 평가하였다.

The composite materials are used in various fields and particularly, the development and interests of aviation and automotive composite materials is active. However, despite the growing market for marine composite materials every year, research on the materials of marine composite materials is insufficient. To be used as a marine composite material, the development of materials that take into account the properties of salt-resistant, shock-resistant, and flammable to the special conditions of the ocean is essential. In this study, to improve the mechanical properties of epoxy resin used as a matrix for marine composite materials, polyethersulfone(PES)-silica, a additive, is synthesised and the glass transition temperature, mechanical properties, and shock resistance of epoxy resin combined with additives were evaluated.
Development of epoxy resin for VARTM to manufacturing large offshore structure

One of the methods of manufacturing large offshore structures is the use of composite materials. In general, the VARTM method is used to manufacture large structures. The VARTM method consists of a mold on one side and a vacuum bag. Using the pressure difference between the inside of the mold and atmospheric pressure, the resin is quickly impregnated into the preform laminated inside the mold. In this way, the composite structure is formed. Various types of materials can be used for VARTM molding. Among them, the epoxy laminating system is formulated to manufacture high performance lightweight structures with glass, carbon, aramid and basalt reinforcements with or without post-curing. In this study, the synthesis of epoxy resins used for VARTM molding and their physical properties were evaluated. In addition, in order to improve impact resistance, functional additive materials were compounded and their properties were compared and evaluated.
일개 응급의료센터에 내원한 15세 미만 소아 발열 환자에서 프로파세타몰 정맥주사의 해열 효과

Purpose: Fever is one of the most common symptoms in children visiting the emergency department. When oral antipyretics use is limited, IV antipyretics may be necessary for control of fever. In this study, we examined the current status of use and antipyretic effect of propacetamol, a precursor of acetaminophen, in fever management for children of age younger than 15 in an emergency center. Methods: We reviewed medical records of 101 patients who were prescribed IV propacetamol from September 1st to December 31st in 2013. Among these patients, 59 children received propacetamol via intravenous injection for control of fever. We investigated variable data including age, sex, weight, chief complaint, reason for use of intravenous propacetamol, history of liver disease, and body temperature before the injection. In addition, to examine the antipyretic efficacy of IV propacetamol, we thoroughly investigated administration dose, number of injections, use of other antipyretics, other antipyretic therapy (ex. like tepid massage or ice bag), fever clearance time, etc. Results: Intravenous propacetamol at a dose of 26.16 mg/kg was used in 59 patients and fever was controlled under 38 C within 2 hours in 39 patients (66.1%). Fever was relieved under 38 C within 4 hours or general condition was improved in 49 patients (83.0%). Conclusion: In this study, we examined the antipyretic efficacy of intravenous propacetamol in management of fever for children younger than 15 years of age in an emergency center. Optimized uses of intravenous propacetamol according to age and weight were effective for pediatric patients with fever who cannot swallow oral medications.
