The antique documents and the old books handed down since the late Chosun Period are collected in the house of Kim, Ki-Hong. To classify them into certain types, old documents (243 sheets of 174 pieces) are biography, household registers, kings' order papers, Kim, Heui-Jeong's own poetry and prose, a congratulatory poem for one's 60th birthday; and ancient books (4,514 sheets of 40pieces) are a collection of literary works and journal by Kim, Heui-Jeong, all sorts of materials for the preparation for Guageo (the civil service examination) and books related to oriental medicine. Their production years is thought to be mostly from 1758 to 1930s and only 9 pieces are those after 1950s. Although these materials have been passed down and housed over 8 generations of Kim, Ki-Hong's ancestors, a considerable number of them were produced, acquired or collected by Kim, Heui-Jeong, the great grandfather of Kim, Ki-Hong (1844~1916), not a little was added by Kim, Heui-Jeong's sons, Hang-You (1874~1908) and Hang-Gak (1876~1946), and also his grandson, Pil-Won (1900~1950). For such an accumulation of collection, not only his family's background but also his academic devotion and the consequential socio-political status played a great role. From these materials, it is revealed that Kim, Heui-Jeong's pedigree belonged to an influential class in the country village of Jocheon-ri as petty functionaries since the late 18th century and in this relation, his family led his village. Also, since his presence, successful candidates for Kuageo, the classical examination system for the government service in old time, came out from his lineage and advanced to the offices of the central government, while, vigorously making mutual exchanges of opinions with the masters in the central Confucian circle, thereby securing his firm position as members of confucian scholars, accepted as the Jeju's representative Confucians in both the national and local confucian circles. In addition, through a review of these, one can get a sense of the change in the caste system, corvee labor and the practices and the procedures over the economic transactions such as trades of land and slaves. In particular, one can get a taste of the ways to prepare for the government examination system and the style of writing qualifying for the government examination system respected by the Confucian scholars in the late Chosun period. Meanwhile, leading figures in the Confucian circle in the Jeju society from the late 19th century to the early 20th century and their social network can be clearly seen from them. Besides, an aspect of the conflicts between Chosun and Japan over Jeju region can be grasped from here.

개선된 심플렉스 알고리즘을 이용한 선형 엑추에이터의 최적 설계

전자계를 이용하는 전기기기의 특성은 비선형이다. 이러한 비선형으로 인하여 기기의 특성을 쉽게 해석할 수 없기 때문에 유한요소법을 이용한 해석을 사용한다. 그러나 유한요소 해석을 기반으로한 선형 엑추에이터의 설계는 많은 노력과 시간을 필요로한다. 최적화 기법을 적용하기 위하여 새로운 알고리즘을 제안했다. 제안된 알고리즘을 이용하여 선형 엑추에이터 설계에 적용하여 최적 설계를 도출하였다.

항공교통 시뮬레이션을 위한 가상비행궤적생성 및 X-Plane을 이용한 신뢰성 확인

늘어나는 항공교통량과 유무인기의 혼합운용을 위해서 효율적이고 안전한 항공교통관리시스템이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 여러 상황에 대한 시뮬레이션이 필요하고 이러한 항공교통관리 즉 ATM 시뮬레이션에 활용할 수 있는 항공기의 경로생성에 대해 연구하였다. 3DOF Equation을 이용하여 항공기가 기동할 수 있는 네 가지 모드에 대해 정의 하였고 이 모드를 바탕으로 사용자가 원하는 Waypoint를 경유하여 목적지까지 경로를 생성하는 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 또한 상용 비행시뮬레이션 프로그램인 X-Plane을 통해 개발된 경로생성모델의 신뢰성을 확인하였다. For increasing Air Traffic scale and operation of piloted aircrafts and UAVs(Unmanned aerial vehicle) together, A efficient and safe air traffic control systems are needed. In order to accomplish this, a simulation in various circumstances is required. and we have studied a trajectory generation that can be useful for the simulation. We defined four movement of aircraft using 3DOF equation. with these four basic movement, we conducted the simulation passing through user defined waypoints while flying from a point of departure to a point of destination. additionally, a reliability of the trajectory generation was verified using X-Plane.

Objective : The anterior approach to the cervical spine now selves as the surgical across of choice for cervical spine disease. Vocal cord paryalysis(VCP) follow the procedure as a complication, and it is most common complication of this procedure. However, the frequency and etiology of this injury are not clearly defined. This study was performed to establish the clinical features of vocal cord paralysis in anterior cervical spine surgery(ACSS). Material and Method : Retrospectively, medical records of patients who underwent ACSS at Hallym university medical center, Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital between January 2000 and March 2006 were reviewed. Further detailed review of the patients with documented VCP after surgery was then performed. Results : 242 ACSSs were performed and 9 patients with VCP were identified (3.71%) In 9 patients with VCP, 8 patients had right-sided approaches (6.01%) and 1 patient had left-sided approach (0.91%). All 9 patients had VCP on ipsilateral side and 8 patients were recovered completely on follow up period. Duration of ACSS, multilevel exposure and low-level (below the C6 level) exposure have been found to be associated with higher risk. Conclusion : For avoiding the recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, surgeon have to understand the clinical features of VCP in ACSS. As right-sided approach has a greater risk of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, we suggest that the left-sided approach be given more consideration.

Laryngotracheal stenosis (LTS) in burned patients with inhalation injury have features distinct from other stenosis after intubation or tracheotomy. However, the risk factors for LTS in burned patients with inhalation injury have not been thoroughly assessed. The aim of this study is to identify the risk factors for and evaluate the pattern of LTS in burned patients with inhalation injury. Subjects and Method:From May 2005 to April 2007, 227 burned patients with inhalation injury treated at the Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Medical Center were investigated retrospectively. The risk factors analyzed for LTS in burned patients with inhalation injury were gender, age, duration of intubation, size of the endotracheal tube, previous tracheotomy, number of intubations, severity of inhalation injury. Results:Among 81 patients who survived and could be followed up until the study period, 10 (12%) patients developed LTS. The stenosis involved the subglottis·cervical trachea (5), subglottis·cervical tracheal and glottis (1), glottis (4). According to Myer-Cotton classification, there were 6 (60%) patients with grade III, IV stenoses on subglottis·cervical trachea. The number of intubations and previous tracheotomy were found to be risk factors for the development of LTS in burned patients with inhalation injury. Conclusion:LTS by inhalation injury is usually shown on web at the anterior and posterior glottic areas or circumferential narrowing of the subglottis. Repeated endotracheal intubations and previous tracheotomy in patients with inhalation injury may increase the prevalence of LTS. (Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2008;51:1025-9)

제주 항몽유적의 역사성과 문화콘텐츠화 방안

It is effective to study the historicity of the Site of Anti-Mongolian Resistance from a multilateral perspective. First of all, this historic site has a huge implication in contributing to the existence of the nation and its culture. and the maintenance of its independence and as a passage linking the histories of east asian countries. Additionally, it has higher degree of organic combination with the national history than that of any other historic remains in Jeju as well as the historicity as a channel where one can meet the identity and the uniqueness of Jeju's history and culture. Besides, as much as they are considered quite meaningful from archeological and art historical points of view because of their favorable preservation state for the 13th century, they have high value as historic sources vividly elucidating the 13th century history and culture of Koryo Dynasty. That is, based on the above points, it can be said that this site is one of the most representative historic remains in Jeju. It is also noteworthy that in terms of securing space for implementing the plan to develop its culture content, this area, together with the presence of the fortress itself, has a much more suitable condition compared to any other site in that a considerable part of Jeju Hangpaduri Anti-Mongolian Remains and its vicinity is public land with private houses and shopping centers being rare. In short, in order to cultivate this site into cultural content, it would be suitable to create cultural resources coupled with the local history, the scenery and the ecosystem of Jeju, involving the nation's resistance history against foreign forces and cultural homogeneity with the east asian history, expanding this live educational ground.
