        전산해석을 통한 열증기압축기 설계와 실험적 검증

        A thermal vapor compressor in which the subsonic/supersonic flow appears simultaneously, has been accurately designed through the CFD analysis for the various shape parameters such as the primary nozzle shape, converging duct shape, mixing tube diameter, and so on. The performance of the developed thermal vapor compressor has been experimentally verified to be installed in a Multi Effect Desalination(MED) plant as an important element. In this paper, the effects of each parameter are discussed on the basis of CFD results and the experimental results for various boundary conditions(motive pressure, suction pressure, and discharge pressure) are presented in compared with CFD results. The two results show a good agreement with each other within 2 % accuracy with regard to the entrainment ratio.

        두경부 암 영역에서의 Epigenetics

        While genetic alterations in head and neck cancer have long been documented, the appreciation of epigenetic changes is more recent. Epigenetics of head and neck cancer becomes an area of emerging research direction due to a growing understanding of specific epigenetic pathways and rapid development of detection technologies. Epigenetic changes alter expression of tumor suppressor genes without changes in DNA sequence. Epigenetic mechanisms such as DNA methylation, histone modification and alteration in genomic imprinting have been shown to silence key genes involved in cell proliferation, differentiation and genome integrity, and clearly have a central role in head and neck cancer. The pattern of hypermethylation in any individual tumor can now be accurately determined, which may find application in molecular staging. The study of epigenetic changes should provide a global view of gene profile in head and neck cancer, and epigenetic markers could be used for early detection, prognosis, and therapy of cancer patients.

        식도 외 역류의 도그마

        Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) disease is an extraoesophageal variant of gastro-esophageal reflux disease that can affect the larynx and pharynx. LPR is associated with symptoms of laryngeal irritation such as throat clearing, coughing, and hoarseness. The main diagnostic methods currently used are laryngoscopy and pH monitoring. The most common laryngoscopic signs are redness and swelling of the throat. However, these findings are not specific of LPR and may be related to other causes or can even be found in healthy individuals. Furthermore, the role of pH monitoring in the diagnosis of LPR is controversial. A therapeutic trial with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) has been suggested to be cost-effective and useful for the diagnosis of LPR. However, the recommendations of PPI therapy for patients with a suspicion of LPR are based on the results of uncontrolled studies, and high placebo response rates suggest a much more complex and multifactorial pathophysiology of LPR than simple acid reflux. Laryngoscopy and pH monitoring have failed as reliable tests for the diagnosis of LPR. Empirical therapy with PPIs is widely accepted as a diagnostic test and for the treatment of LPR. However, further research is needed to develop a definitive diagnostic test for LPR.

        반도체 확산공정에서의 컨베이어 적정속도와 길이를 구하는 시뮬레이션

        Semiconductor wafer fabrication is a business of high capital investment and fast changing nature. To be competitive, the production in a fab needs to be effectively planned and scheduled starting from the ramping up phase, so that the business goals such as on-time delivery, high output volume and effective use of capital intensive equipment can be achieved. Project executed that use conveyor in bay semiconductor A line. But conveyor capability is lacking and rundown happened in equipment. Do design without normal simulation and conveyor system failed. The comparison is peformed through simulation using .AutoMod a window 98 based discrete system simulation software, as a tool for comparing performance of proposed layouts. In this research estimate optimum conveyor capability, there is the purpose.

        두경부암에서 인간유두종바이러스 : 역학

        HPV와 연관된 두경부암은 원발부위에 따라 다양한 빈도를 보이며 HPV와 두경부암에 대한 지금까지의 많은 연구들은 대상군이 적으며, HPV의 감염을 확인하기 위하여 다양한 검출방법을 사용하여 방법에 따라 결과의 많은 차이를 보였다. 향후, HPV와 연관된 두경부암의 보다 표준화되고 정확한 역학 조사는 HPV 감염에서 두경부암으로 발전해 나가는 빈도는 물론, 고위험 지역에서 HPV관련 두경부암의 선별검사 및 예방적 백신의 유용성과 새로운 치료적 접근전략에 도움이 될 것으로 생각한다.

        수평원관상의 LiBr-H$_{2}$O 액막흡수현상 해석

        A numerical study for vapor absorption into LiBr-H$_{2}$O solution film flowing over horizontal circular tubes has been carried out. The momentum, energy and diffusion equations, which are parabolized by the boundary- layer approximation, are solved simultaneously for various mass-flow rates and inlet conditions. The results for the velocity, temperature and concentration fields, as well as the heat and mass flux at the free surface are presented. The effects of inlet conditions, i.e., flow rate, temperature and concentration, on the absorption process are also examined and discussed.

        Background and Objectives : Laryngotracheal stenosis in bum patients with inhalation have features distinct from other stenosis after intubation or tracheostomy. However few studies have been reported and the incidence was reported variable. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical manifestation and the incidence of laryngotracheal stenosis in bum patients with inhalation. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 138 bum Patients diagnosed inhalation injury who admitted to Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital from July 2002 to June 2004. Result : 5 patients were developed laryngotracheal stenosis. The incidence of Laryngotracheal stenosis in bum patients with inhalation was $3\%$. Symptom developed early in 2 patients, late in 3 patients.4 patients required trachostomy as initial airway support. The location of stenosis is subglottic region except 1 patient. Montgomery T-tube was inserted in 3 patients, and Single-stage laryngotracheal reconstruction was performed in 1 patient. Conclusion Incidence of laryngotracheal stenosis in our study is lower than other reports due to late presentation of symptom and early discharge after acute bum stage. Inhalation injury may lead to severe complication and sequelae, therefore physicians should be have a awareness for early diagnosis and all burn patients who have a history of inhalation injury should be followed closely.

        PVP 결합제를 이용한 수계용 세라믹테이프의 제조

        세라믹 인공치관으로 응용을 위해 생체친화적이며 용매에 용해가 잘되고 연소 후 잔류물이 남지 않는 결합제인 PVP로 수계용 알루미나 테이프를 제조하였다. 알루미나 테이프의 인장강도는 결합제(b)와 가소제(p)의 비(b/b+p))에 의해, 그리고 소결체 수축과 밀도는 알루미나(a)와 유기물(o)의 비 (a/(a+o))에 의해 영향을 받았다. 소결된 가공성 알루미나 테이프에 유리를 침투시켜 강화된 세라믹 인공치관용 복합체의 강도는 소결밀도가 증가할수록 높은 값을 보였다. Water-based alumina tapes for application of all-ceramic crowns were fabricated using PVP as binder that is biocompatible, highly soluble in solvents, and no residue leftafter firing. Tensile strength of alumina tapes was governed by binder/(binder+plasticizer)ratio. On the other hand, linear shrinkage and density were determined by alumina/(alumina+organic) ratio. Composite for all-ceramic crowns, prepared by infiltration of a glass into sintered porous alumina, showed high flexural strength which increased with increasing sintered density.
