        펜싱선수에서 통증과 수행 능력이 기능적 동작 검사에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate correlations between the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), pain, and performance ability in professional fencing players. Methods: Fifty-six athletes participated in this study. The pain group included those who had a score on a pain-related Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) of ${\geq}$20 and an Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) score ${\geq}$10). In the non-pain group, these scores were: VAS(<20), ODI(<10). The VAS and ODI were used to measure pain throughout the study. Performance ability included motor function of the lower extremities (as assessed by a Modified Functional Index Questionnaire, MFIQ), dynamic balance (Balance system, BS and Posture med, PM), flexor and extensor muscle strength of the lumbar region was recorded as maximal isometric strength. Results: Among athletes who had pain, 5 of 15(33.33%) showed impaired functional movement. Conversely, only 2 of 41(4.88%) of those who had no pain showed such impairment (FMS ${\leq}$14score). The athletes who had pain and who had an FMS score above 14 (10/56; 17.86%) showed a significantly higher score for extensor muscle strength of the lumbar compared with those with pain and an FMS score below 14 (5/56; 8.93%) were significant correlations between the FMS and pain (r=-0.40 to -0.42, p<0.01), the MFIQ (r=-0.33, p<0.05), dynamic balance (r=-0.27 to -0.40, p<0.05-0.01), muscle strength of the lumbar (r=0.27 to 0.29, p<0.05). Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that the dynamic balance score (${\beta}{\beta}$=-0.41) had slightly more power in predicting FMS score than pain, motor function of lower extremity, or muscle strength. Conclusion: The FMS was significantly associated with values of pain, motor function of the lower extremities, dynamic balance, and muscle strength of the lumbar. However the FMS appears to lack relevance and reasonable evidence to suggest that it is an acceptable measurement tool for functional movement analysis.

        만성요통환자의 요부근육 단면적의 변화

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to characterize changes in back muscles in patients with chronic back pain. Accordingly, we studied 154 patients with chronic low back pain with regard to area, aspect and triggering position of the pain. We also determined muscle atrophy in painful areas. Methods: Subjects were questioned about pain and a pain provoking test was done. On Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), we measured cross sections of the multifidus, erector spinae, iliopsoas and quadratus lumborum muscles at each spinal level. Results: Muscles in painful regions (multifidus and erector spinae muscles) decreased in area significantly more than nonpainful regions, and showed a significant difference (p<0.05) at levels L3, L4, and L5. Painful regions of the iliopsoas and quadratus lumborum did not change significantly more than non-painful regionsexcept at L5 (p<0.05). The group that had unilateral low back pain showed a significant decrease in cross section compared to the group that had central or bilateral pain (p<0.05). Conclusion: Chronic low back pain causes variable decreases in cross-sectional areas of some but not all back muscles, and at some but not all spinal levels.

        만성 편마비 환자의 modified Emory Functional Ambulation Profile의 임상 적용

        Purpose:The examine the reliability and validity of the modified Emory Functional Ambulation Profile(mEFAP) for assessing gait function in chronic stroke patients. Methods:A total of 45 stroke patients, who had a stroke more than 6 months, participated in the study. Reliability was determined by Intra-class Correlation Coefficient (ICC3,1), including Bland and Altman method (Standard Error of Measurement: SEM, Small Real Differences: SRD). Validity was examined by correlating results to the gait ability(mEFAP, Modified Motor Assessment Scale-Gait(MMAS-G), Scandinavian Stroke Scale- Gait(SSS-G), Functional Ambulation Category(FAC), 10m Waking Test(10m WT)), and Fugl Meyer-Lower/ Extremity(FM-L/E), Berg Balance Scale(BBS). Results:Inter-rater reliability for the total mEFAP was High(ICC2,1=998), and absolute reliability were excellent (SEM: 1.75, SRD: 4.85). Subjects without assistance factor performed better on all tests than did subjects who had stroke. There were significant correlations between the mEFAP and MMAS-G, SSS-G, FAC(r=-.66∼-79), 10 m WT(r=-.86), and FM-L/E, BBS(r=-.72∼-78), indicating good validity. Increased times on the mEFAP correlated with poor performance on the gait ability, motor function of lower extremity, BBS and slow gait speeds on the 10 m WT in stroke patients. Conclusion:The mEFAP can be administered easily and comprehensively. It is a reliable gait assessment tool for patients with stroke and correlated with known of function, the mEFAP may be a clinically useful measure of ambulation.

        호텔종사원의 근무환경에 따른 근골격계 통증이 이직의도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 호텔종사원의 근무환경에 따른 근골격계 통증이 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보기 위함이다. 근골격계 통증을 호소하는 호텔종사원 200명을 대상으로 근골격계 통증, 근무환경, 이직의도와 일반적인 특성을 면대면 및 자기기입식 설문조사를 통하여 확인하였다. 설문지 중 응답오류와 무응답의 4부를 제외한 196부(98%)를 최종 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 근무환경은 근골격계 통증(허리통증, 어깨통증, 손목통증)과 통계적으로 유의미한 부(-)적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고(r=-.339∼-.448, p<.01), 이직의도와도 통계적으로 유의미한 부(-)적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다(r=-.536, p<.01). 또한 근골격계 통증은 이직의도와 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다(r=.358∼.413, p<.01). 근무환경이 근골격계 통증에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며, 이직의도는 근무환경이 적절하게 이루어지지 않을수록 근골격계 통증이 심할수록 상승하는 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서 적절한 근무환경의 개발 및 근골격계 질환의 예방을 위한 프로그램이 필요하다. The purpose of this study is to investigate how hotel employees’ musculoskeletal pain, which is likely caused by their poor working environment, affects their intent on changing jobs. The participants of this study were 200 hotel employees who were experiencing musculoskeletal pain. They were asked four questions through face-to-face interviews and questionnaires. They were asked four questions through face-to-face interviews and questionnaires. These four questions were about musculoskeletal pain, the employees’ working environment, their turnover intention, and their general personalities. This study finds that the musculoskeletal pain is related to the employee’s turnover intention. Based on its findings, this study claims that an adequate working environment and various preventative programs are necessary to decrease the number of employees resigning and to prevent musculoskeletal pain.

        새로운 첨단매체의 교육적 가능성이 증대됨에 따라 교육현장에서는 다양한 테크놀로지를 활용한 보다 효과적이고 효율적인 방식이 시도되고 있다. 새로운 교육 프로그램 성공여부에 대한 매우 불확실한 상황 속에서 시행착오를 거듭하면서도 끊임없이 사이버 가정학습, IPTV, 디지털교과서, 스마트기기의 활용 등 새로운 기술을 활용한 교육활동을 시도하고 있다. 그러나, 새로운 매체에 대한 교육적 가능성이 아무리 크고 효과적이라고 할지라도 학교 현장에서 매체의 보급과 활용의 일반화는 현장 교원들의 인식에 영향을 받는다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 교육현장의 초·중등교원들의 인식을 통해서 스마트기기의 특성을 바르게 파악하여 교육현장에 스마트교육을 자연스럽게 도입하고 빠른 정착을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다.

        Influence of Fertilizer Levels and Cultivated Regions on Morphological Characteristics of Rice Grains

        벼 4 품종(品種)(금강(錦江)벼, 밀양(密陽) 23호(號), 추청벼, 칠성(七星)벼)을 무질소구(無窒素區), 질소적량구(窒素適量區), 다질소무가리구(多窒素無加里區) 등(等) 3 수준(水準)의 시비처리(施肥處理)로 수원(水原)(중서부(中西部) 평야지대(平野地帶)), 이천(利川)(중부(中部) 내륙지대(內陸地帶)) 및 계화도(界火島)(부안군(扶安郡), 차령남부(車領南部) 평야지대(平野地帶))에서 재배(栽培)하여 수확(收穫)한 벼를 조제(調劑)하여 얻은 정조(正租), 현미(玄米), 백미(白米)의 형태적(形態的) 특성(特性) 변화(變化)를 조사(調査)하였다. 질소시비증가(窒素施肥增加)는 정조(正租)의 입장(粒長) 증가(增加)와 백미(白米)의 폭(幅)/두께 비(比)를 감소(減少)시켰고 질소(窒素)의 과소(過少), 과다시용(過多施用)은 천립중(千粒重)을 감소(減少)시켰다. 계화도(界火島)에서 생산된 벼의 입폭(粒幅)과 입(粒)두께는 다른 지역(地域)에서 생산된 벼보다 적어서 장(長)/폭(幅) 비(比)나 장(長)/두께 비(比)가 컸다. 무질소(無窒素)와 다질소무가리(多窒素無加里) 처리(處理)는 천립중(千粒重)을 감소(減少)시켰다. 정조(正租)의 왕겨비율(比率)은 질소시비량(窒素施肥量) 증가(增加)에 따라서 감소(減少)한 반면(反面) 현미(玄米)의 쌀겨비율(比率)은 일정(一定)하였다. 이 결과(結果)는 쌀의 정상적(正常的)인 발육(發育)을 위해서 일정비율(一定比率)의 쌀겨층(層)이 필요(必要)함을 암시(暗示)하고 있다. This study was investigated on the morphological characteristics of rice grain as affected by three fertilizer application treatments. Of no-nitrogen, optimum nitrogen, and heavy nitrogen without potassium in three regions of Suweon (Mid-West Plain Zone), Ichon(Mid-Inland Plain Zone), and Kyehwado(South-charyung Mts. Plain Zone) with four varieties, i.e., three Tonsil types(Geumgangbyeo, Milyang 23, and Chilseongbyeo) and one japonica type(Chucheongbyeo, Akibare in Japanese name). The results obtained were as follows: The increase of nitrogen application caused an increase of grain length in rough rice and grain width in milled rice, resulting in a decrease of the width/thickness ratio in milled rice. The width and thickness of rice grain produced in Kyehwado were smaller than those in the other regions. Therefore, the ratio of length/width and length/thickness in rice grain produced in Kyehwado was larger. The one thousand grain weight of rice was heavier at the optimum nitrogen level than at the no-nitrogen and heavy nitrogen without potassium treatment levels. The weight percentage of hull in rough rice grain decreased in accordance with the increase of nitrogen application, while the weight percentage of bran in brown rice was constant. This suggested that for the normal development of rice grain a constant ratio of bran is needed. The morphological change of rice grain by fertilizer treatments and the change of region cultivated could not be distinguished from the native characteristics of the variety. Other grain characteristics were discussed in view of treatment and regional effects.

        뇌졸중 환자의 균형, 기능적 보행, 시지각, 일상생활 평가도구의 상관성

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine correlations between the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Functional Reach Test (FRT), Timed Up & Go (TUG), Motor-Free Visual Perception Reach Test Vertical format (MVPT-V), Functional Independence Measure (FIM). Methods: The subjects used in this study were 35 stroke patients from Cheongju ST. Mary's hospital. Balance was measured by BBS, FRT. Functional mobility was measured by TUG. Visual perception was measured by MVPT-V. FIM was used to evaluate the activities of daily living. Data was analyzed using pearson product correlation. The TUG and MVPT-V index were analyzed by linear regression. Results: There was a statistically significant difference between FRT and BBS (r=0.89, p<0.01), FIM (r=0.74, p<0.05), MVPT-V (r=0.40, p<0.05), and TUG (r=-0.36, p<0.05). There was significant statistical differences between TUG and MVPT-V (r=-0.64, p<.01). However, statistically significant differences were observed between BBS and FIM (r=0.79, p<0.01). The visual close item of the MVPT-V showed the strongest variance in predicting TUG. Conclusion: The use of both quantitative and qualitive scales was shown to be a good measuring instrument for the classification of general clinical performances of stroke patients. In particular, the results suggest that the visual perception test may be able to predict functional locomotion in stroke patients.

        여성노인의 굽은 자세, 신체수행능력과 심리사회학적 요인 간의 상관성

        Purpose: Flexed posture commonly increases with age in older women and is characterized by an excessive curvature in the thoracic spine (kyphosis), forward head posture, and decline in height. This study was conducted in order to determine the relationship between flexed posture, physical performance, and psychosocial factors in community dwelling elderly women in Korea. Methods: Fifty-two subjects with thoracic kyphosis of $40^{\circ}C$ or greater participated in this study. Flexed posture was measured using kyphosis angle (KA), forward head posture (FHP), and round shoulder (RS), and physical performance was evaluated using the short physical performance battery (SPPB), grip strength, and static and dynamic balance. Psychosocial factors were measured using depression and the quality of life (QOL). All data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 software for windows. Results: KA showed significant correlation with SPPB score (r=-0.447) and dynamic balance (r=0.426) (p<0.05) depression (r=0.405) and QOL (r=-0.464) but not with grip strength and static balance in elderly individuals. FHP and RS showed significant correlation with SPPB score (r=0.002, r=-0341) and dynamic balance (r=-0.278, r=0.346) (p<0.05) but not with psychosocial factors. Conclusion: These findings suggest that flexed posture provides meaningful information about physical performance and psychosocial factors in elderly women. Our data suggest that the flexed posture may need to be addressed as part of the health management process for elderly women.
