        당뇨황반부종 환자에서 백내장적출술과 유리체내 베바시주맙주입술 동시 수술의 효과

        Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the combination of cataract surgery and intravitreal bevacizumab injection in patients with cataract and diabetic macular edema. Methods: Patients received an intravitreal injection of bevacizumab(1.25 mg) combined with phacoemulsification and implantation of a posterior chamber intraocular lens. Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA, LogMAR) and, central macular thickness (CMT) were measured using OCT at baseline and at one week, one, three, and six months after surgery, and adverse events were recorded. Results: The mean baseline LogMAR BCVA was 0.84±0.50 and mean CMT was 337.1±57.50 μm. At one week, one, three, and six months after surgery, the mean BCVAs were 0.52±0.40, 0.51±0.42, 0.52±0.34, and 0.46±0.37, and the mean CMTs were 356.4±86.44 μm, 338.8±138.4 μm, 349.0±122.9 μm, and 334.2±100.4 μm, respectively. No adverse events associated with cataract surgery or intravitreal bevacizumab injection were observed. Conclusions: The short-term results from the present study suggest the combination of cataract surgery and intravitreal bevacizumab injection are safe and effective for the prevention of macular edema aggravation for one month, but has little effect on prevention of macular edema aggravation three months after surgery for diabetic macular edema patients.

        시간영역 빛간섭단층촬영기와 스펙트럼영역 빛간섭단층촬영기로 측정한 망막신경섬유층 두께 비교

        Purpose: To compare retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness obtained with Stratus optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Cirrus OCT. Methods: Sixty-one normal eyes were evaluated with Stratus and Cirrus OCT on the same day, and the RNFL thicknesses measured by the two OCT machines were compared. The correlation between the two data sets was obtained using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The correlation between RNFL thickness and the difference in data measured by the two OCT machines was then assessed. Results: The average RNFL thickness was significantly higher with Stratus OCT by 6.54±4.48 μm (p=0.0008). A strong correlation was present between the two RNFL thickness data sets (r=0.883), and the difference between Stratus and Cirrus values tended to increase as RNFL thickness increased. Conclusions: RNFL thickness measurements in normal eyes scanned with Cirrus OCT correlate well with Stratus OCT measurements. Average RNFL thickness was significantly higher with Stratus OCT, and as the RNFL thickness increased, the difference between Stratus and Cirrus values increased. 목적: 망막신경섬유층의 두께 측정에 있어서 Stratus OCT와 Cirrus OCT의 차이점을 비교하고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 녹내장검사에서 정상으로 판명 받은 33명, 61안을 대상으로 같은 날 Stratus와 Cirrus로 망막신경섬유층의 두께를 측정하 였고, 두 측정치의 연관성과 측정값 차이의 양상을 분석하였다. 결과: 망막신경섬유층의 평균 두께는 Cirrus가 Stratus에 비해 6.54±4.48 μm 만큼 얇게 측정되어 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였고 (p=0.0008), Pearson 상관계수는 평균값에서 0.883이었으며, 망막신경섬유층 두께가 두꺼울수록 두 기기의 측정값의 차이는 커졌다. 결론: 정상안에서 Cirrus와 Stratus는 망막신경섬유층 두께 측정에 있어서 높은 연관성을 보였고, Cirrus가 Stratus에 비해 망막신경섬 유층 두께를 얇게 측정하였으며, 망막신경섬유층이 두꺼울수록 두 기기의 측정값 차이는 더 커졌다.

        강화된 단초점인공수정체와 단초점인공수정체, 삼중초점인공수정체의 임상 결과 비교

        Purpose: To compare the clinical outcomes of patients given an enhanced monofocal intraocular lens (IOL) (Isopure; PhysIOL, Liege, Belgium), and monofocal, and trifocal IOLs. Methods: Patients who underwent cataract surgery with bilateral implantation of monofocal Vivinex IOLs, enhanced monofocal Isopure IOLs, and trifocal Panoptix IOLs were included. Three months postoperatively, the uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), intermediate visual acuity (UIVA), and near visual acuity (UNVA), as well as the spherical equivalent (SE) were determined. Photic symptoms were explored via a questionnaire. Results: The postoperative SE and UDVA did not differ significantly among the three groups (p = 0.100 and 0.204 respectively). The mean UIVAs (logMAR) were 0.61 ± 0.14, 0.3 ± 0.1, and 0.14 ± 0.11 in the Vivinex, Isopure, and Panoptix groups respectively. The Isopure group exhibited a significantly better UIVA than the Vivinex group (p < 0.001) and the Panoptix group exhibited a significantly better UIVA than either the Vivinex or Isopure group (p = 0.002 and < 0.001 respectively). The mean UNVAs (logMAR) were 0.68 ± 0.16, 0.57 ± 0.19, and 0.17 ± 0.12 for the Vivinex, Isopure, and Panoptix groups respectively. There was no significant UNVA difference between the Vivinex and Isopure groups (p = 0.185) but the UNVA of the Panoptix group was significantly better than the UNVAs of the Vivinex and Isopure groups (both p < 0.001). There was no significant difference in photic symptoms between the Vivinex and Isopure groups (p = 0.980); however, the Panoptix group evidenced significantly more severe symptoms than did the other two groups (p = 0.021 and 0.042 respectively). Conclusions: Enhanced monofocal Isopure IOL showed superior intermediate vision compared to Vivinex monofocal IOL, and inferior intermediate and near visual acuity compared Panoptix trifocal IOL, but with fewer photic symptoms. 목적: 강화된 단초점인공수정체인 Isopure의 임상 결과를 단초점인공수정체, 삼중초점인공수정체와 비교해보고자 한다. 대상과 방법: 양안 Vivinex 단초점인공수정체, Isopure 강화된 단초점인공수정체, Panoptix 삼중초점인공수정체를 삽입한 환자를 대상으로 수술 후 3개월째 나안 원거리, 중간거리, 근거리 시력(logMAR), 구면렌즈대응치 및 빛번짐 정도를 후향적으로 조사하였다. 결과: 수술 후 구면렌즈대응치와 원거리 시력은 세 군 간 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았고(p=0.100, p=0.204), 중간거리 시력은 Vivinex 군 0.61 ± 0.14, Isopure군 0.3 ± 0.1, Panoptix군 0.14 ± 0.11로 Isopure군이 Vivinex군에 비해 유의미하게 높았으며(p<0.001), Panoptix군이 다른 두 군에 비해 유의미하게 높았다(모두 p<0.05). 근거리 시력은 Vivinex군 0.68 ± 0.16, Isopure군 0.57 ± 0.19, Panoptix군 0.17 ± 0.12로 Vivinex군과 Isopure군은 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았고(p=0.185), Panoptix군은 다른 두 군에 비해 우수하였다(모두 p<0.001). 빛번짐 정도는 Vivinex군과 Isopure군은 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았으나(p=0.980), Panoptix군이 다른 두군에 비교해서 더 심했다(모두 p<0.05). 결론: Isopure는 Vivinex보다 높은 중간거리 시력을 보였고, Panopitx보다 중간거리 및 근거리 시력이 낮았지만 빛번짐은 더 적었다.

        An Experimental Study on Reducing Condensation in Marine Air Compressors

        Compressed air has many uses on board ship, ranging from diesel engine starting to the cleaning of machinery during maintenance. In an effort to enhance the performance of the marine compressed air system, this work studied a way to reduce condensation from the air compressor via experiments. Especially more condensation is produced when the temperature at compressor outlets and the humidity of the air are higher. so in the research, drain production change has been observed by additionally installing the cooling fan on the suction portion of the air to air compressor and this is the method for reducing the compressed air drain that has passed through the compressor. For the result, it was verified that when the cooling fan was used, less drain was made where per hour it was 500.9ml of drain and the measured result after installing the cooling fan was that less drain was made. Other additional and various researches are needed including experiments like silica gel passing through the suction portion afterwards.
